I heared "Don't fight it" at live at Kyoto in 80's.
I wonder if Tom ever did record this for an album or not.
wow i was there with my son. it was the celebration on the grand the laber day festival. he was like 5 then i walked there and back home had to carry him home like a mile away. we also just both went to see you up north 2024
More people need to this track! What vocals and beat! ❤
Bruce Hornsby’s vocals are crispy and just lovely! I am listening to this in October 2024❤
I was there! The voice you hear at the beginning is the late great WLAV Air-Ace Aris Hampers, who was one of, if not the first, to play BH&TR in the US. This was their largest crowd to date and it was free. I'm amazed at how polished they were then. I later saw Bruce play the Anthem on a grand piano at Boston Garden (Larry Bird Night) 03/1995.
Goat.
Schon takes this next level. And my goodness it’s so much faster than the original!
I'm not sure why this title track song gets so little love live. This is my favorite Journey song of them all.
Thank you so much for sharing this gem with us. I LOVE Bruce Hornsby and the Range! The sound quality is superb.
I wish i can see him perform this arrangement😭😭 that beginning intro is sooo goood this is the only historical artefact we have of that amazing performance
Wonderful! thanks for posting
I too like this version, though the drummer is unimaginative in his playing.
ahh, that was the 80s tho! I love motley crue, but listen to their drums, same thing. 80s was the era of simple drum beats. trying to replicate drum machines.
Classic
Never heard him do this w/Journey. Great, of course.
Reminds me of Hammersmith 1988 ❤
Any concert by Bruce is bound to be good. He is a virtuoso pianist, composer and singer. The Range are excellent too.
I never knew that they played this song. Kenny and Steve singing and recording is a great song. Jonathan can sing I wonder why he didn’t do a part.
The best version of this song!!!
The self titled album is just so damn good. Funny how Werewolves is the only song most people know from the whole catalog, yet it's just a fun song, not even close to Warren's most impressive work. I've been listening to Excitable Boy for a decade, and finally my dumb ass decided to check out what else was out there. Still going through all the albums and checking out a bunch of live stuff on Archive, but at this time, my third favorite album is Life Will Kill Ya.
2:40 so high
This is Bruce in his prime. I love the energy!
Good Song!!!!!
I was there. Awesome
They sound great here! I wish we could see it live,! Do you have it live?
Love how they turned this into blues.
The BEST intro version of Journey's Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin that I've ever heard. Perry is down right soulful right from the start. Pure Magic genius. Damn he's so good!!!!
Would love to see this concert live. anyone record it ?
Sorry idk anyone who was there 40 years ago. The chances are slim if we find anyone tbh.
I remember being at this concert in 1976. I knew they would be great. Glad I found this.
great
I was there. It was an awesome show !
This is fantastic, i have Hunter s Thompson to thank for introducing me to Warren, rest in piece brother. ill take a quaalude in yr honour xx
I can't hear Ed noodling during Amnesty as Sam claimed in his memoir.
i wonder if tom has this one in the vault somewhere we need every recorded brad track
This reminds me of a girl who was my biggest crush in high school. (She knew it, too.) She served as a lesson to me.
Just Amazing and I think it’s a best performance alone without Kenny Logins 😢I really appreciate that
I can’t stop listening to this, it is so fantastic
I love wat Steve does in the beginning his voice is so dang amazing 🎵🎤🎶🎵🎤♥️🎵🎵
Sounds just like Kenny is singing with him so amazing Steve
pure melodic ear candy
That synth intro puts me in a time machine to the late 80s. Total vibe.
love this song
LOVE THIS HE CAN SING ANYTHING
Yeah MAN
Saw many acts there that became household names. Great venue in the 70's.
PHENOMENAL OUTSTANDING STEVIE
It’s definitely my favorite Bruce song of all time. Love those high notes he had!
🥰😻😻😻💋💋💘💞💞❤❤❤
this song talks about the appalachian mountain country, born 500 million years ago
I'm on the Sky Train in Bangkok listening to this fantastic track.
