I got told off once for using a Stanley knife instead of a penknife
Thumbs up 👍 for sharing this useful content.
Did I miss the step where he pulled back the concentric shield and installed that metal clamp? It all of a sudden showed up mid video 😊
What is this monstrosity?
Good
This video release 5 years ago but only have 117k viewers, kinda rarely electrical engineers 🥴
Can I use these cables to charge my smartphone? LoL
😂😂
You absolutely could, just wouldn’t be very practical to have a cable many times larger than your charging brick.
No PPE?
cool3
Now show me in a muddy wet hole with a 5 inch ground clearance
Ok👍
Tndtns ns 😥😱
Lol, this seemed a bit haphazard compared to other ones of these I’ve watched.
why has he now got wire coming out of the jacket ?? you broke that off
Can I have the measurements please
Good job 👍
Very nice
Very Nice Good GOB MD ZAHID Malaysia
Wouldn’t it make more sense to just have one continuous shrink tube instead of two and putting mastic in between
That requires you to have longer free lengths of cable on an end for the heatshrink to rest while doing the connection. This might no be possible inside conduit or in a pit.
sample work if u work direct site not like that different little bit.
Thanks for sharing this content
Thank you for the your exercise brother
@3:32 What are those "springs" called?
They're called "constant force springs". Supplied with all KV term kits for tape shielded cable.
2:02 always cut away from yourself 😂😂 Craftsman 🤙🏼
Where can I get the item so I can learn to do this
Please use hand glove for safety
Very cool thank you sir
Got to be an easier way to do this , too much to go wrong...!!
What you called cable gland for MV cable and what material is?
What will happen if the length of anti tracking tube of 6.6kV 3Core termination kit is reduced at site due to constraint of terminal box dimension.. assume supplied length of anti tracking tube is 500mm and we reduced it at site to 450mm
Wow very good
What is the service life for this joint?
1KM cable connected... oh shit I forgot to put heatshrink tube before connect it.
Very useful videos! can you cover more of this topics?
wonderful
wonderful
I never seen selling this kit any where I watched a joiner once on street he was branching off to the block of flat I had the contract to do it was very interesting but he said. They only make them and supply to southern electric Thanks for the video
You can still buy the components. They also make a cold-shrink solution.
I sell armoured cage only which is an important part of cable joint and we make it of good quality 1mm thick polished prime sheet of all sizes if you want any go to my page (Armour case of cable)...
hey this video actually looks like how someone would do it in the field; no specialized tools like cable strippers, but whatever is at hand like a knife
well, not entirely, but still way more believable than all the other videos like this out on youtube
yeah especially how shielding wires magically appears at 7:05
Yellow filler tapes not proper uniform
That’s clearly not a “whatever is at hand” knife, that’s a “I’ve had this knife for 30 years and I know *exactly* how sharp it is” knife.
