This is the director's vision. The version released was from Sean the producer, not me.

Beautiful photos of kittens around Hong Kong, great as screen savers or print on products or collect the whole set and make your own calendar. www.patreon.com/user/shop?u=4435089
How do you know if you should use auto focus or focus puller
Hello Mr. Ross. I've recently gotten into editing vlogs and I'm really enjoying it. However, I feel that there's definitely room for improvement in my editing skills. What do you think I should focus on to get better at it?
How to tell if the lighting for the set is too bright or dark
I have subscribed. Also I really like the idea of this series, there is so much to ask, but for one question....Which movie was your favorite to work on?
We can schedule a zoom chat sometime if you'd like.
@@rossclarksonHKSC Can't make enough time for that, college, etc. But maybe if your following videos could be you answering these questions in the comments, that would be great.
@@fitnam9015 I'll wait till I get a few questions..
So is there a reason your cut will never be released? Would've liked a film directed by a real director instead.
You'd have to ask the producers...
@@rossclarksonHKSC How would I do that? I just want your cut to be available somehow because I don't think my contribution to the film was very worth it and it seems like your cut is promising from what I see and hear....
@@fitnam9015 From their channel: www.youtube.com/@thelastkumite, it's "thelastkumite@gmail.com"
@@rossclarksonHKSC They are not responding, and it's safe to say they wont.. It's very unfortunate your version may not see the light of day due to the producer, all though I hope so. If it won't, is there any other way I can see your version?
@@fitnam9015 No, sorry.
Why weren't you involved in postproduction? Did you have a fall out with the producers? What would you do different to the story, training montages, length of the fights, etc?
It's a long story, Yes I had a fall out with a producer. In my contact is a director's cut, I don't think it will ever be released.
@@rossclarksonHKSC im sorry to hear, will you make a video on this, and perhaps the producers could reply
@@prestigeworldwide1754 They no longer talk to me, This is Sean's first film. He just has no experience so no point. He should stick to reviewing basketball games on RUclips.
@@rossclarksonHKSC i see but if you get your own explanation video out that might push the backers to demand from Sean to see a directors cut.
@@prestigeworldwide1754 They block and threaten me if I say anything.
Will this version have longer fight scenes? The fight scenes in the theatrical version felt short.
The fights will basically be the same. Better colour, more emotion, different editing & music.
@@rossclarksonHKSC I wish the fights were longer; I loved the released cut and I think your cut will probably be even better, I can see it, I loved Undisputed. You should post footage of your cut, but TLK is very strict when it comes to using content from the movie, so perhaps use a different thumbnail and a title that doesn't highlight the movie's name "The Last Kumite". Man, your cut seems much better, much darker as well.
Without Stan Bush and Paul Hertzog it's pointless.
True.
I'm not allowed to use their music..
Their music is amazing
Wth, this looks 100x better than the theatrical release i just reviewed. One of my biggest complaints was the coloring was awful. Looked like it was shot on a phone while this looks like Cinema.
The color grading in this Director's Cut Reel video is even worse.
@@theblackesteyesthedevilseyes I respectfully disagree. At least this LOOKS color graded
@@ThornTheaterReviews This colour grading lifts the movie to a better level, no doubt!
This clip is wonderfully dark, more brutal and more serious. That's what I wanted to see. Sean David made a childish trash film out of it.
You're correct..
It’s a tribute to 80s movies, not supposed to be that dark.
@@martinddhyj It's a tribute, not a copy..
I agree what you say, this looks way more serious, This colour grading lifts the movie to a better level, no doubt!
That's almost kafkaesk... like some of the famous Rainer Werner Fassbinder movies... 😲
Ross, I’m not sure how this is that much different from the theatrical version? Other than the music, it’s pretty much the same.
It will have unseen footage, different music, better colour, and a more coherent storyline, a different feel.. this is only a showreel..
@@rossclarksonHKSC Good to know, thanks! Do you know when we can see your cut? I really enjoyed the theatrical version and thought you did a great job. Film is well shot.
@@macGyver722 I don't know if they will ever release it.. That's up to the producers.
Great job
