A quick "How to?" tutorial on how to change flat tire with the spare that is underneath the XC90. Lights On The Gold Shore - Time For Us (Wondershare Filmora) Name Of The Child - Sunshine (Wondershare Fimora)
Very rushed video!
Thank you so much for the simplicity of this video!
just got a new to me 2007 yesterday, no spare tire. you helped me figured out how things should be! you have an extra spare?! haha
Thanks so much!!!!
The jack shown is not the jack that came with my Volvo although the wheel wrench was not the right one either, wrong size.
Notice how many videos you have to go to in order to find out the size of the lugnuts or the size of a socket used to remove them. Note, not all lug nut wrenches come with the right size to remove or install lugnuts so check before you leave home and get a flat tire. Make sure you have ALL the pieces to change a tire, as well as the jack.
Can the XC90 carry a full size spare instead of the donut, or is the full size is too heavy for the pulley to hold? Has anyone done that & never had an issue?
Gracias amigo no tengo la pieza que se acopla para bajar la llanta y elevar el gato me fue de mucha ayuda nuevamente gracias
3 years with 2010 xc90 d5, had no idea. this was my wtf-moment....
Well this was perfect on our way to Washington DC I. The XC-90. And got a flat found this video and saved the family a lot of time thank you!!!!
If you are looking for a quick explanation because you woke up with a flat tire this video is not it! Like dude get to the damn point!!!
Really helpful- it’s a really straightforward system but I’ve not had a car with the spare wheel hoist before. And I totally missed the hook extension thing in the toolkit . Thanks from Australia!
Sometimes I think I'm the only one that reads the owner's manual when I buy a car. Then I check everything it talks about, and I always find the spare tire pressure way too low. My dad was raised on a farm and was a fighter pilot. He told me I was responsible for everything myself about what I drove.
Btw, does anyone know the centre console box unclips to remove it, just nosing around mine & discovered it by accident
Greetings from UK, Fantastic video just what I’m looking for. I noticed it’s a “space saving tyre” do you have enough room to put the wider regular tyre up underneath until you get home?
Good thanks video
GRACIAS 👍
dude you must not have read the manual for thats totally wrong according to the manuel
Thanks man for making video
Nothing about this video is correct! Do not connect directly the starter battery in the rear, connect under the hood, using the appropriate connections. You risk damaging computers/relays and fuses doing it his way. Plus it’s way more work doing it his way. Also, connect red to doner car first, then red to your car, then black to doner, then black to yours. Then start and run Doner car for a couple min at 1500 rpm. Do not follow this guys instructions. He didn’t even read his manual! Terrible! Gonna damage someone’s car!
Thank you so much for this info As a single senior citizen this was so helpful. God bless you and your family.
Thank you. Having problems with this today 😆
Rock on. 👍
Thank you for making this video! Was really handy.
Thank you!

Thank you so much you are truly a lifesaver!!! You and I, in the rain change my tire for the 1st time ever thank you thank you thank you
wow neva guess that 100 years ...be up under there tryin figure it out.... those swiss people
Thanks alot for posting the vid. Super helpful!
Thanks, I really needed these instructions today
thank you, now how do we put it back?
You can boost it from under the hood .
thanks for this very helpful video i have an 08 xc90 in same color as yours and always wondered how to remove the spare tire. i wouldve never guessed it was lowered from inside the vehicle lol
good video...I would just like to add before jumping on the lug wrench I would spray lubricant on the the thread, and then jump on it first lightly 3 or 4 times to let the lubrication work its way on the threads , and then increasingly more. Probably not very likely. they would break ..BUT if I don't have to chance it, I would not.
Just to make you all aware just incase the inevitable happens of a puncher on your XC90 if you have the R-Design model it will not have a spare tyre because the double exhaust system takes up that space. So always make sure you have a puncher kit. 👍🏼
Thank you Mark! The seller told me Volvo is flat run car ( no need spare wheel) but now I found it :)
Thank you very much
Great Work 👍😃 Thank you for your Video.
That piece you were missing, what is it called? It`s missing on my Volvo, too.
C'mon, there is a much easier way!! @Helmut Weiss wrote you the correct way! Open the hood and you"ll find a "+" screw where you can connect the positive and search for a non-painted screw (e.g. a body part or another screw on the body part under the hood, it works perfectly! This is insane. Look at the manual.... save time disassembling all those covers dude. Of course, this gives DIRECT power to the battery, but believe me (I owned 2 XC90's during the past 9 yrs, don't waste time)...
Thank you. Very mich appreciated after a pucture in very wet day and a very narrow country road 😀
Thank you so much I just bought My 1st Volvo EVER and had NO CLUE🤔 this video help me alot❤❤❤
