ss0op's Simhub Settings for Haptic Pedals to Race Faster

#simracing #simhub Simagic's Haptic Pedal Reactors (HPRs) and other haptic motors for pedals have recently changed sim racing. I can't believe that you would just up and make a video criticising something i paid a lot of money for. I'm flabbergasted that this isn't illegal, my goodness! Gosh.
lol thanks for the comment and watching!
The matchmaking is just so convenient. That’s always been the hook for me.
Yep I totally understand! Thx for watching and commenting! oh and I snooped on you and checked out your channel. Awesome stuff man! Subbed!
@ cheers man! I’ll return the favor. I agree with a lot of what is said in your video for the record. You just gotta decide what is worth your money in my opinion. I bought tracks I like IRL for series I wanted. And like another commenter said, I definitely fall into that category that competitiveness is almost a fault in my personality haha
After every sim comes out, I end up back on iRacing. I have never found a sim and a league that could fill the gap iRacing fills. But, I want competitive racing. No point in racing if it is not competitive.
totally respect that opinion my man. Appreciate the watch and comment!
I’d recommend the inverted set with hydraulic brake personally, and then save yourself a bit of money by getting 2 not 3 haptic motors
Great video. Wish I'd seen this 12 months ago. All the great content is stuck behind a huge paywall and when you do decide to spend a hundred dollars or so try and participate in a series, the environment is incredibly hostile. Life is far too short to be wasting time surrounded by dickheads 😂😂😂
I know that feeling for sure. turning voice chat off can do wonders in the game. Thx for watching and commenting.
Meh, the sim sucks ??? lol. Every single aspect of phyics car dynamics and real world timing is constantly tweaked and updated, with down and server service every couple of weeks. assetto came out like 10 years ago bro lol 3:00
IRacing came out 16 years ago bro and I never said it sucked. I said "it's not the best sim." GL.
@ you forget its live service and updates are conducted almost biweekly. GL yourself. If you like arcade games thats cool bro, just know they are designed for the common teenager who will drive the living brakes ou the car with lots of user assistance. Kind of like when baby's eat baby food. Same, but different
Thanks for the guide. Would love a follow up in 6months or so after you think you have things dialed-in.
I been sim racing for about a year now and I have to say, I always wanted to try iracing because of the diversity and the online presence but it’s not really an opinion, iracing is very much a sim you have to commit time and money 100% of the way. yeah you can try iracing for a month, but if you end up liking it it will cost you. The only other game that works similarly to iracing is “race room” which is free but it lacks in players and driving physics /force feedback
Heard a few mention race room and I have yet to try it. Thx for watching and I appreciate the comment!
ACC is shit, compared to iRacing, imho. R3R is closer if not even as good, as iRacing. Still good points! And I agree, if you want to compete iRacing is where you will end up racing 😊
I love that you say in your opinion which is totally fair and awesome! Appreciate the comment and thx for watching!
If you like cars and racing, there's plenty of options out there. If you like the circus of motorsport and your competitive nature is strong enough to be a personality flaw, then iRacing is for you. (If you're on the fence, wait for the Black Friday offers) I say this as a goon who did local tournaments in Initial D Arcade Stage, Wangun Midnight Maximum Tune, Battle Gear, etc long before I could afford a basic sim rig. Anyways I'm about to boot up TXR on Steam now. Here's a like.
Thank you! Appreciate the comment as well!
Lol this a weird video. Firstly, do you actually race cars IRL?? Id assume not as you said A.C and A C.C are better. They are not. Iracing by FAR has the most accurate representation of my IRL race car (I race F.V in Oz) I can not use A.C or A.C.C as it does not help my IRL racing as the cars drive nothing like my actual car. Next, i have maybe 70% of iracing content and STILL spend most of my time in rookie series (as thats where my IRL car is) The free content is EASILY enough content for a year if you are new. You should be concentrating on a single series and learning how to drive (racecraft, techniques and what discipline you want to pursue) once you can actually drive (and trust me, you most likely cant even if you think you can) you should pick another seriers, in a discipline you want (i.e open wheel race cars, tin top raod cars, dirt) and then do that for a season ar least. You dont NEED content, you need to learn how to drive fast and safe and be competitive in whatever it is u have chosen. Thats how u have fun, becoming a better driver and being competitive. This vid should be encouraging people to approach iracing in the right way to enjoy it, not bitch about price when you dont need f all of it and really shouldnt be buying it as that will lead to frustration (best to be good in one car than sh1t in 10 different cars) Iracing has issues, price is not one.
You clearly didn’t watch the whole video or have the attention span of a gnat. Edit: what you see above was my initial response. And while it still stands I really think your comment deserves a better thought out response, which follows: There's just a lot to unpack here and I don't even know where to start so here goes.... I often see that for the sake of getting subscribers and views, that youtubers just turn the other cheek and become a punching bag in the comments section of their videos, and admittedly I've been there and done that. This gets further exacerbated by the fact that YOU, the commenter, more often than not can hide behind some degree of anonymity. The notion that you intro with and demean me for lacking the experience of - that every youtuber that makes sim racing videos races cars in real life is absurd. I am a sim racer, meaning I race virtual race cars and I have no aspirations of becoming a real life race car driver ever. I think while this video is completely misunderstood, and I am at fault for not making it clear enough, that your misunderstanding even further proves my point about iRacing. It's for COMPTETITVE online racing. I think it's over some people's head and definitely over yours that some people actually don't want to race seriously and competitively online. Some people don't want to pay extra to drive a Ferrari. They just want to jump in their sim and have fun. But what is fun for you might not be fun for me and what is fun for me might not be fun for the next person. Some people don't want to race just one car and just one series and they may honestly not care if they become a better sim racer because they don't follow that advice. So my point is that iRacing isn't for everyone. We all know it's for you now though.
Firstly, have you always been a douche or does that come with racing in IRL. Next. You clearly didn’t watch the whole video, I think it was clear that one of the negatives was this was the most competitive sims that translates would translate to IRL…. In conclusion you are are douche.
being a subscription based software is enough for me to blacklist it from my mind forever, i'll just stick to private racing groups in ACC
totally understand that! Thx for watching and commenting!
but you are not challenging yourself, nor are you actually improving on driving. at that point it is not a sim, it is just games online with your friends lol.
@ look, i know what i'm missing out, but it's not like i'm not competing, the veterans kick my ass and then tell me how they did it, we race for real, my times have improved drastically because of it, i know there's a limit to how much i can improve in a closed community but i haven't reached that point yet. i don't hate iracing, i hate their business model, i hate that you have a paywall for a decent racing experience, i hate the monopoly they have on the competitive scene and that no one is even trying to compete, i found my place on these groups, and i'm happy here for now.
@@Gas45678just because someone plays offline and doesn’t improve as much doesn’t mean it’s not a sim how dumb are you
You are missing out. Open your mind
because of this video i have finally decided to purchase irenting (i've been a member for a couple of months already)
"You don't want this!" :D
The total cost if you wanted to purchase all available tracks and cars would be a ridiculously high amount, agreed - but (as you mention) when we’re talking about roughly 125 additional tracks and 174 additional cars, this number becomes somewhat irrelevant because most people I know only race a few different series. iRacing is great for racing a variety of cars that aren’t available in other sims. But imo, even if you only want to race GT3’s, the sheer amount of populated races available nearly 24/7 makes it almost a no-brainer. Great video style, although I’d humbly say the final message is a bit confusing.
Thx for the comment and feedback. Honestly I got confused with my own msg trying to make the vid so I appreciate the honesty. My point is to save the money if you aren’t competitive!
Even though the price is a barrier to iRacing, it's not as much as people believe it is. First because on your simrig itself you'll spend easily much more than what you will in the game (for me it's about 6x). Second because you never need to buy absolutely everything, most cars or tracks will be used once or twice before dusting in the garage. Third because there are some cars and tracks that are much more popular and used throughout the game, for example the Ferrari 296 GT3 and Daytona. And last because at some occasions you have discounts on the subscription (black friday), and the first year is for only $5 and the F4 car with their partnership with the FIA. So a good thing to do before trying iRacing is to find an experienced user so they will guide you and help you take the best decisions. Also one thing that some people do, is to take only a subscription for a couple months to enter the special events, which are the #1 selling arguments of the game as no other sim handles this kind of event in such proportions.
@@s1nenomine all excellent points that I can’t disagree with. But cost aside, it seems like there is part of the sim racing community that doesn’t want to pay to drive a certain car or just doesn’t want the level of competition iRacing provides… it hovers between game and just a full blown competition. It’s those people that I’m attempting to help save money! As always thx for watching and commenting. You rock! 🤘
I love how your argument is "iRacing isn't that expensive - Sim Racing gets MUCH worse!" Jokes aside, while I do very much enjoy iRacing, you can't deny it's hella expensive. Maybe the quality justifies it, maybe it doesn't, but apart from Flight Simulators, it will be the single most expensive game you could possibly play. And with sims like ACC out there who offer two dozen cars and as many tracks in a very high quality sim for the cost of.. well, probably a single car and track in iRacing; I find it harder and harder to justify. The league structure and the driving standards are certainly one argument; not to mention it just handles far better than any other sim (even though it looks like it's from 2008, especially the UI).
@@TetraDax it is expensive but the service is worth it IF you want a competitive multiplayer racing sim. no other sim competes in terms of easy access multiplayer. But if you're looking to join a private league or just do AI racing, i wouldn't recommend it
If I want to play iRacing for a decade, and I am one to play games for a long time after purchasing them, if I buy absolutely NO extra content and they leave the price stagnant (unlikely) it would cost me almost $1200. I could buy an absolutely INSANE amount of sims for that. Even if iRacing was the best sim to ever exist in every way it isn't worth the price.
Skipping for the higher price range hahHhaha 5k for a set lol.
$$$$$$ :D
Only difference I’ve done is remove slip, way to much feedback. Couldn’t get it to work at first when only pressing pedal, didn’t realise you need to use a different axis (not simaginc pedals) sorted now.
@@justdoittom8431 awesome! Thx for watching and commenting!

You’re welcome! Thx for watching and commenting! 😊
My hepatic aren’t working at all. Anyone else? Can someone give me some point with this new feature
Oh no! Did they ever work? If not, do you have a power supply for them. It’s a little confusing but if you have them plugged into simagic pedals you STILL need the power supply to give them the extra juice they need to function. Hope this helps!
Laughed out loud, what a title!
Thank you!
I want to add a few thoughts after a few more hours of gameplay. An H pattern makes this sim even more fun! Additionally, while I initially was excited to see the AI was kind of stupid, I now regret saying that. The AI is so dumb it’s tough to race with. Standing starts are wild 😂.
Great to see a fellow sim racer utilising the power of 3D printing. I've made so many things for my rig :)
Thank you! What’s your fav print for your rig?
@@ss0op Wow that's a tough call. I also did the RGB matrix flag panel which I like, custom mounts for shifters and handbrake, keyboard mount, tablet mount, QR connector mount for my spare Simagic rim, StreamDeck mount, an F1 tyre stack beer holder and even printed some short sections of "aluminium" profile. Think my fav would be when I got the carbon fibre effect build sheet for the printer and made a custom H gate cover for my shifter and also some little shelves to put my phone on etc. Who doesn't like a little carbon fibre :)
great stuff! There are so many options! Glad to see I’m not the only one taking advantage of it! Thx for watching and commenting! 😊

Me either! Thx for the comment and watching!
Thanks for your helpfull video, I have search how to reduce the sound on my p500, the simagic base parameter are toooo noisy
No problem! Glad it helped you out! Thx for watching and commenting!
Thanks for a good video on simhub updated features/options. Im considering setting up haptic effects for my rig and want to keep it simple and neat. I was first thinking on setting up traditional bass shaker with amplifier+soundcard combo and adding to that one haptic reactor from simagic. But there might be issues with it in long term and it is not the best way to drive HPR. With these new capabilities to simhub I was wondering would it be possible to connect bass shaker to the simagic control box instead of clutch or throttle HPR´s and use the control box to drive the effects through simhub for the shakers? What I would want to setup is one HPR for the brake to feel the ABS (like in real cars) and add one shaker under the pedals and one shaker under the seat to give rumble effects for wheel slipping, gear change, etc. And instead of having control box to control one HPR and a separate amp+soundcard for the shakers I could combine them to them all to one control box and configure all effects to it via simhub.
@@macrissss I am not positive but I don’t think you’ll be able to plug bass shakers into the simagic hpr control box. I think you’ll have to have both an amp sound card for bass shakers and hpr control box for hprs. Lmk if you find out otherwise. GL! Thank for watching and for the comment!
@@ss0op Yeah, it might be stretching too far... but the concept is the same for both devices and even the frequency range seems to match, but the impedance and load of bass shakers vs. HPR might differ and the control box might not work at all or works poorly with bass shakers. If only someone already owning both would be willing to test this concept so I would get out easy. 🙂
I WILL be doing a video about adding bass shakers down the road… but I can’t swing it financially right now!
FYI, no dice unfortunately! I managed to get one control box, HPR and 2x bass shakers and did some testing. Chat GPT suggested that I can roughly estimate the impedance by measuring the resistance of the shakers or HPR, which I did: * TT-25 shaker was 8ohm * BTS-2 shaker was 4ohm * HPR was 26ohm So quite a big difference, but I decided to try it out anyway... and it actually seemed to work, but when I got to adjusting the effects via simhub and modified the gain, I noticed that the shakers where actually strongest when the gain was 1% and weakest when it was 100%. My best guess is that the control box amp has somekind of over-current protection which got triggered on higher gains causing it to lower the output power. Ordered a separate nobsound NS-10G usb soundcard amp for the shakers to get things working.
@@macrisssswell it was worth a shot! Thx for the update!
Good shit, the release aren't very clear on things always, and I quit doing every update because "every other update" would undo my labor intensive settings profiles (8 channel bass shaker + P1000 w/2x Reactors) but, taking a screen shot always makes it more bearable. Update 9.6.8 incoming! Sometimes the utube spyware(algorithm) works in my favor, thanks for the info!

I am sorry that the Orange Country Chopper TV show came to an end, but you were great in it. I have these pedals and like them so far but I'm trying to make them more comfy to use. It's hard to tell in the video, but do you have them mounted with the baseplate tilted away from you slightly? and then it looks like you have a seperate footrest on top / in front of the pedal base mounted towards you slightly if I'm seeing that right? Looks like a good solution. Don't suppose you have a picture of what it looks like side on so I can try copy it and see if this is more comfortable? And do you have a link to the footrest plate as well? Thanks man!

Had the p1000rs for a year and hated it. I tried every modding option available, including buying their springs and just wasn't for me. Sold and got a VX Pro and life is good again. Might work for others, but it was a big No for me.
...and just barely more expensive too. Good suggestion for those that don't like the p1000. I will look into them further for sure. Thanks for the comment!

Do you have a link to the 3mf files for the pegs?
www.thingiverse.com/thing:6652246 - there is the stl... hopefully that works for you. I don't have the files in 3mf format. Thanks for the comment!
@@ss0op Haha those seemed familiar ;) My design, I am glad you like it ;) When I was uploading it to thingieverse I was sure noone will even download it. You can put it to the video description if you want.
Awesome! I definitely DID download it and as you can see someone specifically asked for them in the comments. Thanks for designing. Will definitely add to the description!
Thanks for the attention to switch to controle under device and tips for use.
@@henkvanbeusekom5275 you’re welcome! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Nooooo!!!! I don’t have the brackets 😅
@@scottgreen5959 I’d put a message out on the simagic discord. I’d be willing to bet someone has them sitting around and would be willing to part with them! GL!
I’m a bit late!! How’d you install on the wheel stand? Did you have to buy seperate bolts? I just bought some secondhand and didn’t come with any bolts 😢
@@scottgreen5959 you will definitely need bolts to install! I don’t know exactly which ones but I think m5 or m6 will work on a wheel stand along with matching nuts and maybe some oversized washers to compensate for any incorrect measurements on the mounting holes. I’m about to do a video on p1000s a year later and I have a lot to say about the pedals on a wheel stand… interested to see your thoughts after install!
@ your a life saver mate, appreciate it👍. You’ve earned my sub!!!
Did they come with the heel stop?
They do! It’s not the LED one… believe that’s extra.
@@ss0op awesome! Thank you for replying. You earned another subscriber 😁 I’ve been torn between buying the p1000’s or the p1000i’s (inverted) I know you can by the inversion kit for the regular p1000’s but it’s cheaper by about $120 if you buy the inverted off the bat vs upgrading. BUT- the inverted cannot be changed to non inverted (at least not without a little fabrication) so…. Decisions decisions… I think I’ll enjoy the inverted more but I don’t want to risk hating them then not being able to change them. What are your thoughts? I’m leaning towards buying the regular and then potentially the inversion kit (even if it’s more money) adjust to be safe.
@ appreciate the sub! I’ll be honest that I went through the same dilemma when I purchased. After having the pedals for almost a year now I can tell you that I don’t care to invert them. Not that it wouldn’t be cool or I’d hate it… it just isn’t a priority cause I want other things for the sim rig and have limited funds! I need things like a 5080 and triples!
