Is SimPro Manager required for them to work? I just connected a set and SimHub recognizes them but the SimHub test doesn't activate them.
@@SpeedFreak919 it’s not required. Did you buy the power supply? The p1000s don’t need a power supply but the HPRs do.
@@ss0op I did buy the power supply. Here’s what’s strange: if I uncheck “only when pressed” and click Test Now, I can feel them. But if that box is checked, nothing. Nothing in any sim title and nothing from the tests in Effects Profile.
I disagree with tip 3, you8 should always fight tooth and nail like your life depends on it. Sim racing should not be fun, it is important where you finish and that every one else is more miserable than you! /s

Good tips! Couple of things I would add : - Be careful of "leaving room" to a faster car, usually you should just drive PREDICTABLY. By that I mean just drive like you usually would and let them make the pass. There has been countless times when a car wants to do the right thing but get rear ended because the passing car wasn't expecting it. - Second pro tip for practicing. You can Spectate a race server that is already started, and from there you can go race and you'll actually be a ghost car, you can see the live drivers but they can't see you and there is no collision. It's a great way to practice and compare your technique.

I have a somewhat similar method. I start my practice when the tracks rollover and then i just look at the series results and figure out where my times "should" be and that gives me an idea on how far off the mark I am for MY iRating. Im certainly no alien, so this gives me a realistic goal to practice for.

Haha I know right? But honestly the real story is I was practicing spa and she snuck up behind me so I said “want to try?” and she finally agreed to. So I had to just go with it! 😆
Might be okay for f1 to have a throttle one but i found it more of a hindrance, hard to live without the brake thought. Thanks for the idea of gear grinding in the pedal
You need to be careful when letting a novice use a DD wheel these things have a lot of power and crashing into a wall at speed can result in a lot of hurt and pain. These things are not easy to repair.

I honestly don't know his motivations in that moment. I think he knew I was going for the inside line but he could have just defended it. He also probably knew I had a good run on him. But in the end it's always the fault of the person who rear ends the other... regardless of the rear ended person's motivations and actions... at least that's my 2 cents! 😎
Bought them about a month ago. Went down the rabbit hole and ended up just using simagic settings. Going to get back on simhub tonight and give it another go. Great video and Amazing information bud.

When I first got them I was struggling to get a decent PCC setup so they felt a bit underwhelming, especially if only used for ABS which I do like for the regular 992 GT3 but the Cup Car does not have it. However, after trying your settings out... game changer! now I want one for my throttle so I can copy your settings over for that too haha

pretty much! I didn't mention in the video but it does have a "gear grinding" effect that may be useful but I don't know how or which car in iRacing would trigger that!

Hmmm, need to check, but I selected wheel slip as opposed to traction loss. Don’t recall seeing traction loss as an option…🤔
Wheel slip can be very noisy in some games such as AMS2 and R3E (non-stop buzzing unless dialed down in strength)…😳
I set mine up for iRacing - wheel slip is not provided by iRacing and simhub calculates based on RPM so it suggests you use traction loss instead.
my brake isnt moving either. did you figure out how to get it moving?
It’s just very stiff and actually designed as intended. Once you get it mounted properly it’s great. It’s just a big adjustment if you are coming from Logitech pedals!

@@ss0op yup. It’s picking up the minor movement. I think it’s the travel of the pedal but couldn’t fret that adjusted . Seeing vids everyone’s pedal event with stuff moves a bit more

I’m lucky because both my Mrs and my daughter enjoy real life motor racing and we’ve been to silverstone and brands hatch a bunch of times, but for some reason they both dislike sim racing. I guess the pro to that is I don’t have to share my sim rig haha

Ive tried em all now and simagic aftet there latest software update and revision overall is the best wheelbase on the market. People can get mad but yes even over simucube now.
I’m glad to hear this. The alpha is the only direct drive wheelbase I’ve ever used. Needless to say I’m far from disappointed!

You can edit the .ini file to default to no tires. If you don't do many 30 minute + races, it would make more sense to default to no tires. If you do any endurance races you'll have to remember to check them when you pit though.
