What does a E320 Bluetec Mercedes Diesel get for fuel mileage?!
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.Год назад
I take my Mercedes E320 Bluetec on a 680 mile road trip to test the fuel economy and reliability post repairs. After the road trip I got a hand calculated 32.7 mpg over 687 miles. #diesel #mercedes #roadtrip #bluetech #tuned

Cummins Rescues Hemi! OFF ROAD RECOVERY
Hey you can’t park there bud
There were some pretty healthy jumps and drops there!
Hey budd what make year and model is this?
That lift still looks good but to me it just doeent seem tall enough or does it not have long springs because longer springs increase the height
We definitely know where the fat girls sit 😆
What do you think of the bluetec looking at a couple high mileage ones. One with 200k for 4.5k has my attention. Currently have a 1997 E300D and I'm reluctant to upgrade to a newer bluetec as I get 32-33mpg and it only has 176k. Did your mpg improve once the issues were fixed?
Ist der Motor kalt gib ihm sechseinhalb🤦
Is this all stock or a tune used to achieve this
this is truck had a 5" exhaust and a smarty tune, I drove it very slowly for that tank as there was snow over ice down through oklahoma and texas, they dont plow or salt. The truck regularly gets 23mpg going the speed limit.
Man oh man I wish I could ski like that. You turn the nastiest looking bumps into dance partners. Unbelievable skiing. Please post more ski vids!
thanks I am looking forward to this ski season that is quickly approaching, I have all new gear and a all new go-pro! ill be sure to add a few!
finally, a worthy opponent to Donny Pelletier
This is awesome!
nice job
Is there still any rake? I want to buy this kit but I’d like to have it level
Not much rake especially if you keep anything in the bed, would not recommend if you tow much weight.
What’s the part number and where’d you get that new axle u-joint assembly you ended up putting on it?
The PN that I ordered off “parts geek” website was ADS00200
Send it bud!
I just saw that your coolant temp is too low. It should be around 85 Celsius. Try to diagnose what the reason for that is before throwing parts at it.
It’s the MAF and a Thermostat that is misbehaving accordingly, I appreciate the observation and am tracking the problem, getting into the car again this week!
Looks 100x better!
Very dangerous slope 😯
I don’t know about all that now but it sure was fun!
Your temperature is too low. It should ideally be around 80 c on the gauge actually a little higher. The engine is running too cold. You need to change your thermostat. I have a 2006 e320 cdi and had the same issue. When I changed the thermostat, efficiency went up around 15%. Nce car.
Good to know! It was also decently cold out when I drove it! I’ll be driving it here again soon and will verify! I appreciate the tip, I’d love an 06 CDI, I just got the Bluetec because it was impossibly cheap
Interesting mogul strats ...
Strat is send it 👍
there were so many moments where it looked like you completely lost control but you somehow managed to pull it through every time. nice skiing
thanks!
Pack up and go west !
Went and bought a plane ticket cause you said so….went the wrong way, suppose the alps will do!
Hot! Dog!
Where were the bumps? All I saw was someone practically tucking it down a hill with some tiny features that could be potentially maybe be called bumps somewhere but definitely not in Colorado.
Clearly not, as the title says east coast bumps, thanks for the view and the observation!
That's the way I ski, kind of on the edge of being out of control. But it gets the adrenaline pumping, so is the only way to ski for me.
Very Much relatable!
Probably should have shown how to install it instead of measuring it so many times .
Well I suppose we all learn along the way, thanks for the view and the interaction! Still available to help with the actual install if the instructions are a bit hard!
Dummy lol
Mistakes were made!!!
I guess thats a weird thing in some places.... a light snow is a problem.
With some 5 year old summer tires in the mountains it sure is!
@@johnramsayskier not trying to be a dick, hope you had a safe drive.
I did thanks, and I wasn’t worried about it!
Absolutely shreaded that shit dude, very impressive skiing.
Wonder what happens if you run it dry now that the fuel gauge isn’t working quite right
As it happens, just add fuel and re-prime 😏
Wish it could be restored I betcha with a little work she would run again
I am sure with some new tires and maybe a few hydraulic hoses she would be right as rain!
Wow! That is some tight skiing!
just out here tryin to have a good time! about to get back into skiing this winter, shopping for new gear now! its been a few years!
I bought a 5.9 Cummins new in 2004. It now has 280 k with only new Bosch injectors and a couple of water pumps, total front end rebuild, rebuilt and upgraded R48E. It drives like new and the engine is stock. Your truck sounds great but is way too loud for me.
It is too loud for me as well! The five inch exhaust is entertaining for about the first 30 minutes of a drive, then you are ready for a muffler and a four inch! My truck drives very well for the age as well! How many miles do you see yourself shooting for with your truck?
@@johnramsayskier I’m mostly retired now so I don’t drive it regularly, but I’m thinking about 500 k. A new black paint job , seat cushions, sound deadening pads, etc, and a stereo with back up camera is coming in the next couple months. I plan on keeping it.
@@powerwagon3731 I am aiming for 500 as well! I am going to try and swap in a fourth gen leather drivers seat when my seat is a bit more worn, and I am going to put a flat bed on the back as its a little more practical for my use case.
Do the control arms come in contact with the shocks at full droop?
No these did not, it was fully functional even at full stuff and full droop crossed up in a sharp ditch.
@@johnramsayskier great to know. Thanks for the reply
@@ethanspruill7539 of course! let me know if you have any other questions, I sold the truck so I am running off memory now!
Bro be scooting through the trees
What is the navy doing in the woods?!
Clearly a land invasion supporting the marines!
@@johnramsayskier Sailor had one too many drinks and drove off base with it
Holy shit that looks fun. Makes me miss skiing.
I’m trying to get back into it myself!
What type of cab is that by the way
Crew cab!

I hope 285 70 17 looks big enough with the 3 inch lift i just bought. Anyone know? Still have time to trade tires
I think it will look just fine! That’s pretty close to a true 33! You certainly won’t have to do any trimming! You’ll have full turn lock to lock even off-road!
To the moon!
Does this same lift kit fit for the 2015-2020 trucks?
Nope I believe they are sprung and valved differently.
Gotta love backwoods of Virgie
Banjos intensify
Awesome set up. I only see fuel assaults available in 17x 9. Did you mean 17 x 9 or do they actually sell 17 x10 ? Thanks man
These I believe were 17x10 we did this lift about three years ago now and I had the wheels about 6 months before that, they may not make them any more in that size, I could also be wrong!
@@johnramsayskier i appreciate the response. I ended up getting some 17x9s and went with the 6inch lift. Because of your video, i was able to decide on what we wanted. Much appreciated!
That 3 inch made it look perfect height thats about the height I want because you don't have to tint your windows on that truck because nobody can see inside with 3 inch lift
You have a link to the 3in lift? RC isnt showing a 3in on their website for my 2010 f150
While they don’t have the exact kit I bought any more, this one is pretty close and adds a new upper control arm for better ball joinT angles! shop.redline360.com/products/rough-country-lift-kit-ford-f150-4wd-09-13-3-suspension-lift-kits-w-struts-shocks?variant=39772525854800¤cy=USD&msclkid=90541e1f564e1bc903677d53df10945d
I heard my knees crack while watching this video. =DD
If there not cracking are you really having fun?
Thank you for the video, I'm about to pull the trigger on the same RC 3inch kit for my 2016 f150 sport, I was undecided on the RC 2inch, but thanks to your video, I'm sure I want the 3in. Thank you ✊
