A Monday late afternoon getaway to Combe Gibbet, to find it really windy and cold. A little task to fly along to Ham where the road is and back, however it wasn't as easy on return as I thought...

Remembrance Sunday shared with other winged aviators

A very gloomy afternoon on Combe on the first day of November 2024 but worth a try. The early bit was just a bit sketchy with some tree skimming :-) It did improve for an enjoyable buoyant late afternoon.

A Sunday afternoon get away on the 27th October to Milk where it was flyable on 4 sites at once. Very chilled and a chance to fill our collective boots.

So is a 1.5 hour drive in the Autumn on a sketchy day to go to Milk Hill on 17/10/24 to do some paragliding, worth it?

Flying around Swinside, Crummock Water, Buttermere and back. A gorgeous day back in 2016 with my good friends.

Lovely late afternoon on Combe flying around some convergence clouds after a short wait for it to develop. It was doing the same earlier in the day and several pilots had some nice flights. Later on it was weak but fun!

A long morning spent working then problems on the M4 meant a 2.5 hour journey to Golden Ball. Was it worth it?

A small flying window in what's been a terrible start to the Autumn with lots of rain. With the wind direction looking like it was going to be a problem and one pilot already gone XC, what about trying to get to the pub "Crown and Garter" field which is in Inkpen Common? Maybe or maybe not?

A short flight from Milk Hill White Horse to the pub at the end of the day on Sunday 29th July 2024. A hoofing thermal over the hill and struggled to get down.

When you just need to relax and enjoy flying with friends.

With a deadline, does having plans in the evening affect your flying day. Yes when after all day you get a climb out at 5pm ish. So the clock was ticking...

After a 4.30am start driving from the SE to Grasmere in the Lake District, then helping setup the LCC we headed up Alcock Tarn in the evening. An extended top to bottom local flight taking in the gorgeous views with friends.
