Added Another Bird Feeder
Просмотров 233 года назад
Added another bird feeder to the back porch. Managed to get some video of the woodpecker that occasionally comes to visit as well. Edited this one differently than my last bird feeder video, cut out the boring no birds bits so it's more of that beautiful bird footage. 12:22 Woodpecker
Bought a Bird Feeder

Bought a cheap little bird feeder from Amazon to hang on the back porch outside the kitchen window where my cats love to lay in the sun. They're strictly indoor cats so they just watch the birds out the window like their own personal TV show.
New Pipes on the Fury

Got a new set of pipes, new intake, and a Power Commander V with a tune. The pipes are a set of Hacker Rippers and the intake is a Cobra PowrFlo. Got the bike tuned at Livengood Motor Sports in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Gained about 11hp and 8ftlb Torque. She definitely feels and sounds a lot better now. Honda Fury on the Tail of the Dragon
Просмотров 14 тыс.3 года назад
Rode my Honda Fury up for TougeFest 2020 and took it down the Tail of the Dragon located between Robbinsville, NC and Chilhowee, TN. It was a fun ride, just followed pace with some guy named Chris on an Indian FTR1200 (Found that out after we chatted at the overlook. Wound up doing like 5 more runs on the tail with him). For anyone who goes up there regularly, if someone had come up behind me I...

Just learned about the Essential Housing Tools addon, gotta say, I am a fan. The animation for the carousel seems to be limited by ESO itself, but it's good enough. @Storm_McCloud in game if you want to check it out yourself. US NA PC.
Scraping does pegs 😂😂😂
Damn dude. Some of those turns gave me a good 'ol fashioned butt-hole puckerin' just watching you. Getting back into riding after a ten-year hiatus. #goals.
Love the cherohala skyway. After the dragon umteenthmillion times. The best ride.
I didn't hear a lot of shifting in there. what gear were you mostly using? I am planning to take a 2010 Honda Interstate (VTX1300) there next year.
2nd and 3rd, no real need to go outside those gears on a road like that. A lot of folks ride it just in 2nd as they tend to ride it with a little less enthusiasm.
I have 2013 Honda Sabre, and I'm definitely not ready for the type of riding.
Hahaha, yeah it's not for everyone. I still have the Fury and still ride it from time to time, but I moved to a Triumph Trident 660. The naked bike fits my riding style a bit more. Did have to replace the foot peg housings on the Fury though, they were worn WAY down from being used as lean indicators 😅
Where did you get the mirrors???
Got them from Revzilla, they're not cheap but they're awesome. www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rivco-led-turn-signal-mirrors
At this point, you oughta feel like a regular speed demon. Speedin' on the freeway, gotta make a livin 🤘🏾💯💯
dude, did you have any pegs left when you got home.😂😂😂
Yeah, though they are worn down a bit.
My next bike glad I seen this thanks
hey there, how long is the stock clutch cable ? i snapped mine and i got mine apes and was wondering if the stock one will fit . cheers
I doubt it if you're running apes. I've got the Cannella Risers on mine that just move them up and back 2" and the stock clutch cable fits but probably wouldn't be able to go more than that. I'm not sure how long the cable is though, that'd be a google question.
@@SkufMcGruff i googled it with no success . would you be able to measure the clutch cable on yours please ? thanks
Dude you're going to have to replace those foot pegs LOL!!!!
Small price to pay to ride the hell out of it in the twisties, lol.
I know on my Honda Fury which I'm sure uses the same with that fat rear tire you kind of have to over steer every corner and it feels like the front wheel might come out from under you so I'm sure yours probably feels the same let me know if it is thanks bro God bless you
The only time my front wheel feels light on the Fury is if I'm doing 80+ on the interstate. Granted I'm a heavier dude and I always have my bike on max preload and she feels completely planted in corners. Last time I was up there on the Fury I had two dudes on nakeds use the pull off and wave for me to pass them, lol.
@@SkufMcGruff right on buddy that's pretty cool thanks for getting back to me God bless you buddy
Foward controls help the dragging gets them up and out of the way mine has accutronix forward controls i love them
I like them dragging, I use it as a lean indicator.
Years later - still cool a f
Canyon carving on a fury?? That takes some riding skills.
Thanks, it actually handles better than you'd think
@@SkufMcGruff This may I am getting the Fury, Sabre, or Stryker. Not sure which one yet.
The Fury is def not made for these kind of roads, but you did a good job.
Nice footage and great to see the Tail with the Fall foliage. A real twisters paradise. I wonder how many people follow other riders, or adopt them (follow at a safe distance to make sure they’re safe and in good shape)? It more or less done by drivers but maybe riders do it too given the nature of the Tail. Yeah, definitely not a place for target fixation. Retry wild. I found myself looking into all the curves you were taking.
Thanks man and yeah target fixation definitely gets a lot of people on that road. And idk about other people but I do the riding behind people thing a lot to watch how they ride to try to improve how I ride.
@@SkufMcGruff I know what you mean. They guy in front of you was doing a good job of hitting his lines, or at least from what I saw.
You were right, I should have recorded my runs this way. Or at least brought extra batteries so I could have done this and a bit of hyperlapse to mix in. Enjoy the Trident. I expect less scraping of hard parts than on the Fury.
Hahaha yeah probably considerably less scraping on the Trident.
This just made me want a fury even more, going from a harley to a Honda just because of the fury
Heck yeah man, it is a great bike.
Man, you scared the shot out of me.
Lol why?
love the pipes, do you need the power commander with the new pipes, or was that just for more power? love the intake also.
Power commander or a ECU reflash. Technically you can run new pipes without a tune as long as you use the stock air box (from what I've read) but its better to swap both and get a tune. The bike will run better and you'll get a power boost.
@@SkufMcGruff very cool, i plan on giving myself one heck of a christmas present come december. don't know what color yet. but it's gonna be a fury of a gift!!
Nice bike I have the 2013 fury love it. What is the brand of your phone mount
Thanks man! I love my Fury too. The mount is a RAM Mount handle bar mount.
Thanks. I will check on them
I just put a cobra fi 2000 power pro on mine. And it made a big difference
What are those mirrors?
Rivco LED turn signal mirrors. They are a bit expensive but I love them. They stick out further than my stock mirrors and are slightly convex so I see more behind me. www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rivco-led-turn-signal-mirrors
Cherohala is better than dragon.
Im choosing between a Fury and a street glide 2013. Im getting a hell of a deal for the SG but damn the Fury just looks bad ass and fun to ride. Any thoughts?
I love my Fury, it's a great ride. I've never ridden a bagger so I'm not sure about the SG. Only bikes I've ridden didn't have bags/fairings/wind screens. I have let a few of my buddies ride my Fury who normally ride Harleys, they said it was like riding on a cloud compared to their Harleys.
I wonder if u put on a 250 fat tire at the back would that affect the handling?
"Back in MY day, people were made of sterner stuff. You scraped your knee, you rub dirt in it and keep going. You get attacked by a horde of mutated lizards, you pick up your limbs, dust them off, and carry on with your day. Everybody nowadays is too gosh darn soft!" - Pre-Boomer
took my 19 fury to TotD after a few months of riding it. was a spring sunday afternoon. was bit intimidating with a lot of traffic. went back on a HOT august tuesday afternoon. NO traffic!!! fury obviously not ideal for those road conditions but it was much more enjoyable. no intimidations, just throttle, lean, scrape the pegs and do it again
Definitely a fun road. I've been going up there for years now. This video was my first time taking the Fury on it though.
Quite a ride. Long bike with a skinny front tire, but you hustled it along well. Beware the painted lines. I have found out just how slippery they can be.
The Honda engineers definitely knew what they were doing with this bike. I've let a number of friends ride it, friends who usually ride sport bikes or Harleys, they were all shocked at how well the Fury handles. And yup, they are, that's why I do my best to not cross them with the bike.
Lol, I do appreciate the rambling commentary! BTW, thank you so much for posting your, 'tail of the dragon' ride! I really appreciate getting to go along for the ride!
Thanks! I'm glad my ramblings aren't annoying, lol. And yeah no doubt, once the weather starts to get less bad again I'll be recording more rides and putting them up on here. If you have any suggestions on spots I should go to in north Georgia/TN/NC mountains let me know and I'll see about checking them out and recording the rides.
The sound of 'pegs scraping' is just your 'fun meter' going off! Love that sound ...
Absolutely!
As a new rider, I get very nervous when my pegs scrape bc I feel like I'm leaning too much and the bike will fall lol
I have cobra fatty highway bars that scrape before my floor boards ever do now. I don't like it. I miss dragging floor board, lol
I have a Honda Fury and a Victory Hammer, The Fury feels like a Cadillac ever time I ride it, very comfortable and controllable.
Oh yeah, my buddy who has a Harley Forty Eight rode my Fury and was like ""Holy fuck, its like riding on a cloud".
Nice Harley bro ! 🙃
🤣😂🤣
On that bombshell. 😂
I love the Fury!!! I'm working on getting one between now and Spring time. I live in Indiana and plan on doing rides like this in the Fall. Be safe, and continue to post these great videos!
Thanks! And yeah the Fury is a great bike. I love mine. Hopefully you find a good one at a good price, you'll love it. I've also got more footage from that weekend, just got to get it put together.
@@SkufMcGruff Awesome! Take your time and upload when you can. I own a photography and videography company, so I know how much work goes into working on videos. I look forward to seeing more when you upload them. I meant to ask you: Where did you get the mirrors? I love that they have integrated turn signals! I want the same for my bike.
@@paradiseofgod The mirrors are Rivco LED Turn Signal Mirrors, they're a bit pricey, but I absolutely love them. I used them and got a replacement tail light that also has integrated turn signals so I could get rid of the front and back stock turn signals. I think the bike looks much cleaner without them. www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rivco-led-turn-signal-mirrors here is the link to the mirrors. Another thing, I'd go to www.customled.com/collections/oem-connectors-for-motorcycles/make-honda they sell OEM style connectors. So you just hook the mirror wires to the connector, then it is plug and play so you don't have to cut or splice into the bike's connectors.
did you buy one yet ?@@paradiseofgod
@@BikerBob1300, I did not. I wasn't able to find one at the time that I was looking for a bike. I did, however, buy a Yamaha Roadliner which I converted into a Stratoliner (the Roadliner has no fairing or hard bags; the Stratoliner does), and I LOVE this bike!! It has amazing power and rides so good!! I will get a Fury one day though, but for now, I am so happy with what I'm riding!
Dude, great video! You can hear the frame scrapping the asphalt when cornering.. lol that sucks My Fury does that, occasionally. I hate it. I am considering screwing some nylon scrape bars to the frame.
Thanks man and it wasn't much frame scrape, it was mostly just peg scrape. I've got the suspension set as stiff as I can so the frame doesn't hit often.
awesome!!!
Thanks!
Wow nice job, looks great. The retaining wall on the edge looks like it would have been SUCH of a pain to do lol
Thanks! And nah it actually wasn't that bad because they're not actually real. They're just large flat textures added by the Essential Housing Tools addon. The two inner hedge rows were actual hedges, that same addon lets you make perfect circles out of your decorations.
