This piece was commissioned for the National Concert Band's 25th Anniversary in 2020 but it was not premiered until Easter 2022 due to the pandemic. The piece meshes traditional military musical themes with electronic dance music and played on wind and brass instruments. The piece is entitled 'Drop!' as a reference to air drops by military aircraft as well as describing whent the piece climaxes...

DAY 12 🎼 🎄 🎅 And so here we are on the12th day of our mini-lunchtime concert series! In our 'Christmas Actually' virtual video, filmed in December 2020, we hoped that we would be playing together soon. My father would have been delighted to hear this performed
I absolutely adore this music played by a fantastic band. I was once a RAF cadet and rose to sargent. We used to march to this on rememberance day

Nice job.
My freshman year of high school, our school played this song. That year we where informed that our band director, that I dearly felt strong about, was leaving and going to a different school so he could support his family. When we played it, it was so emotional that everyone started crying, even the band director did. It was the last concert of the year and the last song, we all got roses to give to our parents. When we was up there preforming this beautiful piece, we all knew to make it actually sound like amazing music. And we did just that. That, that is what music was. Farewell Mr. Cain.

Beautifully done DOM and band ! A very important March for we Aussies and I suppose all other Commonwealth Air Forces. An attack on Britain was considered an attack on all of us . You called…we answered.😊❤️

Love this march. I remember playing this on the first North Region Music Camp in October 2012 - a marching band that was static due to the awful weather 😂. Great piece!
