I had seen a different documentary that on the early 90s there was a whole fire plan becasue it wasnt if it was gonna happen, it was a when it was gonna happen. Not a fire, but a terrorist attack. I wonder how many people who worked in these towers knew that?

What pure hate can do to people, doesn't matter how many times you watch, its as though your still watching the first time. Its so horrific and unfathomable,.all those people lost in the blink of an eye. Lead with love!!

I was in my young 20s and working at a hospital in Seattle, WA when this happened. There were tvs on everywhere in the hospital and I remember, literally, everyone standing there in shock staring , shaking their heads, crying, etc. I’ll never forget this day and my heart will always go out to the victims and their families and friends. Such a tragedy🫡🇺🇸 I watch these videos periodically to keep the memory alive. This day shall never be forgotten! Not by me! 🫡🇺🇸

if you read the book by one of the fireman, the north tower would not hsave come down if the south tower had not taken out a corner of the north tower when she fell. also more first responders have died since 9/11 due to illnesses caused by the toxic dust etc thsn died on the day

I was 16 and a sophomore in HS in Kentucky. I had to do intermittent catheterization of my bladder, so I was doing that when the first two planes hit. I had no idea what happened until my aide came in to my second period Spanish class and told my teacher to turn on the TV and that something was wrong. My mom worked in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, in the shadow of what was then the tallest building in the city… so we didn’t know if we would also be hit.

I literally turned on this broadcast back in 2001 within seconds before the second plane hit. I was glued to the tv/news for the next week.

I was 21 in college. Me and my then girlfriend, now wife, decided to not go to class for no apparent reason. Just didn’t feel like going. We turned on the TV and just sat there mouth open for bout an hour. Second plane had already hit so we were watching the replay of it hitting. Crazy day that was. The world was one way on September 10 and totally different on September 12.

I swear that damn reporter asking the official about the number of ppl asked the same damn question like 4 times in a row just worded different. Dude said he didn’t know. Reporters are so sickening sometimes. He didn’t really care about the number, he just wanted a number to report on. That part was so frustrating 😤

My Grandfather was possibly the greatest aviator ive ever known and when i was a kid in the 90s and early 2000s he countless times had either come by to visit after a flight,taken me on a flight,or just spent time talking and teaching me damn near everything about aviation and there must've been at least 100 different times where he either got off work from a flight or after working alongside someone that was brazen specifically in the area of a Sterile Cockpit, which is something i never ever saw him take even the slightest bit lightly, he never brought up into the cockpit during a flight and he would tell me how much he hated the lax security of the cockpit, when it came to keep it free of any distractions on the ground and especially in the air and even booted pilots in the jump seat if they were a distraction and he submitted several reports internally and anonymously and signed and identified including one he gave me in March 2000 to use in and that i read in class saying that "after all the hijackings and mid air security breaches most airlines continue to be callous with cockpit security, they hardly ever listen to anonymous and clearly identified suggestions and will keep gambling until an excessive and insurmountable price is paid" so when this happened it really hit him and me as well, extremely hard, even more so with 2 of the planes striking our city and at a mere 7 miles from where we stayed at the time...23+ years later i still have nightmares of what happened and not being able to do anything about it, and dreams where i was able to do something to help...theyre an eternal, inextricable part of me

I was 14 when this happened, I live in the North West of England. We only heard the story after the second plane hit, our teachers told us there’d been “an accident”. By the time I got home, both the buildings had collapsed and Manhattan was covered in smoke. It was scary in the UK, I can’t imagine what it was like for Americans, especially those on the east coast. 💙

I was 21 years old when this happened a week after my Birthday Sept 5th.. I was at work cleaning out a truck getting ready to go out for delivery and my Uncle who worked at the same place told me Howard Stern just said a plane crashed into the World Trade Center and the hole was huge on the side of the building.. I worked on Mercer St in Jersey City you could see the top of the towers from where i was however i did not witness the second plane but after the second plane it was obvious it was terrorist... Heartbreaking what those poor people went through having a choice to either burn to death or Jump 1,368 feet to your death. I use to go to the twin towers alot as a kid they were my favorite buildings it was nice to visit to observation deck on the roof on tower 2.. America hasn't been the same since 9/11 .

I was too young to remember this, but my parents saw the whole thing. My father was sleeping off a night shift, and my mother ran into their bedroom and woke him up. They watched in absolute horror as everything went down. I was in another room watching cartoons. I wasn’t even 2 years old yet.

I’ll never forget how united we were as a nation for many months after this. Everyone was kinder to each other. We were all Americans - not Democrats or Republicans. Such a surreal day. I finally understood how my grandparents felt about Pearl Harbor. May all victims of 9/11 rest in eternal peace. We will never forget.
