Great video mate
Merseyside bought a Mercedes Vario light pump, it was an absolute lemon. It was underpowered with heavy and vague steering it was quickly sold to Cheshire who repurposed it as a fast response motorway rescue unit.

I didn’t know Cumbria Fire reshuffled the ERP’s again? I thought YVW was Penrith’s C27P2 and Ex-Workington - yet it’s still marked as Workington’s?
C27P2 is now YVU (ex Kendal) they had YVW whilst the former was getting its livery freshened up and ultimately sent it to DT when they decided they needed more CAFS pumps in service (YVW doesn’t have CAFS anymore due to a fault with it that was cheaper to remove)
And the price for crews to have pride in the station and pressure wash the stone work?
The inside of the station is immaculately kept by the crews. Unfortunately the responsibility falls to LFRS estates to manage stuff like that.
Sack the estate manager ,station front looks awful & depressing it’s enough to give you ptsd just looking at it.
The need to fix the light bars to alternate, that will just wash the road out for drivers of the pumps at night

Let's see how "great" it is when they can't get to an accident in cold dark winter and someone dies. This has already been done elsewhere in the UK and the police cars sat parked up because they couldn't charge them when required.
These cars are only being used during the day at the moment due to staffing levels. They charge over night so they are ready for the day. If they require charge during the day there is a Tesla super charger based centrally on the motorway in Cumbria
@@cumbriafirephotosand you still have the problem of waiting for the fast charge to finish. It still puts lives at risk.

What camera do you use?
Quite embarrassing really, brand new truck and the company can't programme the lights properly and a dodgy siren, classic E1 quality. Great video though.

The light pattern is like that on all of the pumps, we have a few in Cumbria with that pattern, and all of Tyne and wears new stuff does.

Some of these Merseyside firefighters need to be careful: donning their turnout gear while the appliance is in motion (so they can't be wearing a seatbelt) is now not only illegal, but also a disciplinary offence to the management of every UK fire service now. And there's no hiding place if you boys and girls keep posting their turnouts online! Personally I think it's a load of bol_ocks, and good on 'em for for ignoring the disgusting health & safety rule, but firefighters are being disciplined for it, believe me....
Gov legislation - Under Regulation 6(1)(f) of The Motor Vehicles (Wearing of Seat Belts) Regulations 1993 (SI 1993/176) a person riding or driving in a vehicle that is being used for fire brigade or police purposes are exempt from the requirement to wear seat belts.

I don’t think a water relay and a water shuttle are the same thing, are they? This is a water shuttle; a water relay involves two or more stationary pumps all connected by hoses passing water over a distance to the fire scene. That’s my understanding. Cumbria’s new-gen Scannys look nice though.
Every firefighter I have spoken to always call it a water relay. I think the term is interchangeable depending on the place.

Great Video! Some unusual sirens on L30P2 compared to the current ones the other pumps have on them!
Its happened on other E-one Volvos like in West Yorkshire. It’s likely the backup tones if the standard tones fail.
@@0ne-6right40 Usually it’s Drivers decide weather they want to use two tones on response or turnout. I’ve got a few where they’ve turned out on two tones and there’s a few other ones on RUclips of various West Yorkshire pumps

This is a normal fire engine
The smaller second pump is a necessity in barrow as there is many tight streets and low bridges within the stations ground, making it ideal for access.
Not a lot of urgency from second crew 😢
They are an on-call crew, so they were probably waiting for a firefighter to get to the station
They are on call, they can’t really do much until the last crew member gets there.
Dose the 2nd pump carry any C R E ?
Yes, it carries a full complement of equipment that you would find on a standard full size appliance
