thank you for this. just worked for me my left stick was drifting so bad some games were unplayable when i took apart the stick, it was filthy. like 7 hairs in it. oh and a can of a air dried it up very quickly

I believe I had an early module, because it only had one screw and the other holes weren’t drilled out.

This fix doesn’t work at all. My TRX has been having this issue for two years. I always get a random pop up on my screen where uconnect had an error and then my screen will randomly go black. The message appears everday and the dealership can never fix this. I tired that reset method and it doesn’t work period

Man you have earned my sub for this, thank you I was able to fix my stick drift by doing this, and this was my second edge controller for this exact reason. At least now I know I can easily open it and try to remedy the issue if it happens again! Cheers!

Hold the power button and the tune button for 10sec and it rests! Works great!

Hold the power button 20sec until ram logo comes on the screen , then 1 more time to get the screen back on it’s a soft reset

Click on the media button and the settings button in the upper right corner of the dark screen there is a sensor

I held down volume button and Tune button simultaneously for like a minute and it popped back on

I have 2022 ram 2500 laramie I was having the same problems with my radio..my truck has been downloading software lately and I haven't had anymore problems with it

I own a 2022 ram rebel and my radio shutdown multiple times while I was driving to New Mexico and traveling back to Houston Texas, it would just go to a dark screen then it would reboot and ask me to except the terms for uconnect, I went to my local dealership and was advised by the service manager that this is a common issue with the radio and are waiting for a solution to fix the problems. Hope to hear from stellantis soon.

Press and hold volume and tune buttons for 1 minute. Just make sure car is running.

For anyone having the same issue…. I’ve got a 2022 Ram sport. My screen has been black like this for two days. Couldn’t hear my radio or anything. I finally found out how to fix. If you hold down the screen off button along with the volume power button for 10 seconds, it should reset the screen and pop back on!

I have 2022 ram 2500 I was having the same problem..my truck had 3 software updates around the 1st May all my problems are gone I love that software update thats in these new trucks

Purchased a brand new Longhorn Limited 6 mos ago. Screen is going dark on me too. Ninety freakin two thousand dollar truck. All I expect I should have to do for $92K is maintain it per factory recommendations and keep it clean. Unacceptable.

Did anyone get this issue fixed? I just bought my 2023 Laramie yesterday without researching about this screen. I am having issues switching between Android auto and apple carplay. Reading all these comments, I am scared if I will get this blackout issue after a few hundred miles. Please let me know if the dealers were able to fix this issue.

Pull the fuse for the radio or unplug the battery and you should be good

I have 2022 2500 laramie having the same problems screen goes black but I can hear my radio playing..took it to the dealer 3 times they are finally going to replace it next week I hope that fixes everything

What a piece of shit American made car. My tesla, which is also American made actually does this once in a while but it’s an easy fix when you restart the car or just restart the screen. None of that is working with this TRX.

I have a brand new ram and it's screwing up on me too. Screen won't turn on, volume doesn't work, glitches on me. So frustrating to spend this kind of money and have these issues.

Exact same issue with mine.. My dodge mech buddy says could be the phone BT interrupting? I get kicked outta car play etc.. pain in the ass.. poor upgrade for infotainment.. I read several articles how this new system absolutely effin sucks-

Hey did you get it fixed? i have the same issue. ive brought it in 2-3 times and they said they cant see any thing wrong with it but i have the same problems once my screen just went black untell i turnd the truck off and on like 10 min later. my dealership said they can try taking it in for the day to diagnosis it sure enough they found out that the radio device was the problem and im gtting a new one. holding the volume botten worked once in a while but was a temporary fix

i have a ram rebel GT same thing. took it in 3 times for different problems but kept bringing this up. it would glitch out and buttons disappear and cant use the volume or black screen. now they want me to bring it in for a full day to diagnose it. this started a month or 2 after getting it. under 500km to. called the Uconnect and they just said to bring it into the dealer but they have no clue. the holding volume doesn't work just gets it to work temporary ive done that more then 10 times now. its to bad that with how much tech these trucks have they cant have it save the codes they need to figure out what's wrong with it like a computer can.
