LPL Mic Check: Week 7 (IG vs LGD, RNG vs SAT, EDG vs IM) Eng Subs
Not sure if anyone still wants to watch since this was released ages ago but it's okay, I'll still post it up anyway LOL. Will be subbing the other mic checks when I have time!
Translation notes:
1) 给面子 literally means "to give face". When you give face to someone, you are respecting them/saving them from some sort of embarrassment.
2) The SAT coach said "你跟人家玩运营? 玩什么运营?", I searched on Baidu and the definition I found for 运营 was "为了赢得比赛需要做的事" which means the things you do in order to win a match. So I'm guessing what the coach meant was "What strategies are you discussing?" or something like that?
I'm not sure so if anyone knows what I should put in for the subs do tell. p.s. No point ju...

that weight translation is not correct, they are using 斤(a chinese old unit) as the unit not lbs. In China 1斤 = 0.5kg.
Oh man, I've always translated and thought 斤 was lbs, and nobody corrected me, I could've sworn I read it from somewhere on the net too x_x... And there was this episode where EDG went to the hospital and all of them were 50-60kg, so lbs would have made sense (Clearlove would be 54kg according to lbs conversion) But yea, you're right. 120斤 is 60kg and it still does tally with their weight during that hospital episode! I've changed the subtitles accordingly.
装逼 = pretend as a pro (but actually not) and do something annoy enemies or others, such as dancing in front of you on the lane (trying to implement you play bad and he can easily beat you).(not a game specific meme) 败人品 = do something to get bad luck. 人品 means personality(charecter) but on internet people refer it as luck (you behave good you get good luck and vise versa).败人品 literily means do some bad behavior and lower personality, such as 装逼XD. 骚猪 = 骚(sao) pig...骚 is really hard to translate. Literally this charecter means slutty but nowadays people use it to describe some awsome or hularious moves. In chinese LOL culture 骚猪 was firstlly used as a alias of PDD coz his online stream gaming technique was sometimes awsome and sometimes noob that made his stream really funny and popular. and this meme gone wild in chinese LOL culture. People call someone 骚猪 in the game means this guy did some top-class good or top-class funny move. 干他 = fck him (dps to him) 轰死 = shoot (someone) to death. 轰 is usually used with canon or missl- like attack, like Graves ults. 教你做人 = teach you how to be a human being = teach you some lesson (how I beat you)
I translated it as "act pro", which is the same thing as "pretend as a pro", right? I know what 装逼 means and I never said it's a game specific meme either, it's just hard to accurately explain it in the subtitles here so I used "act pro".

wtf, is Clearlove really small or something for people to say he's fat or they just want to pick on him? My weight is around 54kg (which is what Google said 120lb converts to) and I'm so underweight lol
he's probably shorter I guess..? he's around 1.70m if I remember correctly. fans were teasing him at the start of the year for gaining weight and being chubby (pretty sure he was more than 120lbs and he used to be way slimmer in the past), not for being overweight or anything, but yeah I think he looks fine now hahaha.
here's a late reply but apparently 斤, the weight measurement that he's using, isn't actually lbs O_O (I've just updated the subs accordingly) 120斤 = 60kg and 118斤 = 59kg, hopefully it makes sense now!

I meant "last time" as in "previously" or "before" or "in the past". (I used to like this movie = I liked this movie in the past/I liked this movie last time/Last time, I liked this movie) Maybe it's just the country where I come from that everyone uses "last time" in this manner. But no problems, I'll change it just in case other people get confused as well.
