In indigenous cultures, ayahuasca was only used as a last ditch treatment. Only after they had tried many other more normal treatments to help people recover. There must have been a reason. Think about that. They know the drug best. Now some people are doing it very lightly, meaning even with a trained medicine person they do it over and over and over and over - which was never done before. Sometimes you can tell the repeating users are psychologically addicted. And if you study their psychology and how they are living, you will often see that they are not becoming more functional. They are not being healed, they are still avoiding their lives. The goal of shamanic medicine is to bring people back into balance (including balance with nature). The chronic repeaters don't necessarily come into balance from doing jungle shamanism (largely drugs and sacred songs). Meanwhile, in the mountains of Peru, the Q'ero tribe does really great healing with no drugs at all. Drugs are not necessary to be healed or transformed.

Dr.madam , I am a retired Bank officer from West Bengal India. I think spirituality discovered by mankind far later of their creation by nature. It had no existent firstly. After crores of yrs mankind started to think about spirituality. What is your opinion ?
