Very well dune. Just bought a Weatherby Vanguard High Country in 270 on sale. Best video on a Weatherby Ive found. Thank You sir from Tx.
Soooo true
Rip off
Why do y'all hunt roos y'all have plenty of other stuff like rabbit's and cats and camels!!!
Will it handle a shotgun with nothing more than 3 inch shells???
thay need cleaning ?? wow lol
Old post, new answer for you. They are a pain to get used to using, yet I have four BX25, five BX1 and one Pro mag 25. That's 175 rounds to load. Sitting at home getting ready for a range day, they are great, yet depending on the ammo, they get gummed up. So I dewax them with dish soap and lube with silicone spray after it is dry. I just got another one for $20. They are not bad, just don't expect them to work flawless, they never will.
THANX.
What do they cost??
I was at the local gun shop today an saw a tc venture mag on the shelf. Im not so sure it wont works on these
GARBAGE, DOES NOT WORK…
I think the only downside is a lack of LRF
Great to know it works, BUT can it work with the ProMag Archangel Nomad 25 round .22LR magazine for Ruger 10/22 please ?
Now do the video again and actually check to see if the magazines are full instead of just bullshitting us.
Watched several vids on the IAiming thermal scopes and have seen multiple references to connecting to a smart device via an app. I've downloaded the app and have yet to be able to connect to the thermal scope. Disappointed.
Why is the bolt locking to the back after every round? Is that normal function?
Yep, that's how this one works
Are you 100% sure that's how it's supposed to operate. I'm shopping these right now and have heard that it does not by some vendors, but you seem to be pretty sure that this is by design. Thanks!
I am certain that it locks the bolt back on firing, obviously only for the A22R and not the regular semi auto A22@@thenorthernwill
The R version is Australian compliant. They do not allow semi auto. The bolt locks back after every shot and you have to pull the lever in front of the trigger
@shanebretz9481 update here. I bought a a17R. I've purchased a new trigger group, and am shopping for a standard semi-auto bolt. I will keep you guys posted as to how that goes. And it is legal here in Canada to have a semi-auto, as most may know.
What’s the price on these atm
Unavailable at the moment, sorry
2023 update. For a budget rifle, these are tearing up Canada right now. They average 700 bucks here. They are dirt cheap, outstanding workmanship for the money compared to Savage, Mossberg, etc. I have 2 walnut versions of them in Creedmoor and 243. Those metal pillars ensure the morons don't break the plastic trigger guard. The lug is part of the action. Excellent job. Both are great rifles. These are damn good buys compared to the plastic junk around these days for twice the price. When tuned its a single stage trigger. Mine are set to 3lbs. Sub-Moa as you wear them in. Takes about 20 rounds for them to settle down. Copper clean is a must after. BTW go look at the Sauer 200s. Very very similar in design
$700? You over paid. I picked up a Walnut 6.5cm for $549 before tax 10 days ago.
@@wedge308 I paid 549 + tax. Feel stupid now. read much? I quoted a rough estimate everywhere.
@@mogulrider Why would I feel stupid? It's your momma that says you're special.
@@mogulriderwhere is the tax rate 22% in Canada? Only 5% in AB 😂. Something isint mathing.
Why the terrible stupid noise while your speaking
This thing is a piece of shit. Oh ya deres 15 rounds in the mag strate out the hoppa. Bullshit. Probably 3 in there. Pure junk. You’ll load 5 times faster by hand.
Shooting of those lightweight plastic tables, with lightweight plastic chairs is going to cost you accuracy and cost you consistency. You can see the rifles bouncing up and down and the entire table shaking on each shot. The rifle and table will bounce/shake a different way each time. Even leaning on the table will move it. Is there a reason you didn't shoot prone?

Hello. Thank you for the video. I bought a new 2016 Vanguard new but almost 6 years old at a gun store. It came with brass colored base mount filler screws. I think I noticed your rifle having the same color. Does yours have the brass colored base filler screws? I was surprised they weren't black like the receiver. Thank you.
They used to be brass. Now they use plastic ones.
Thank you very much!
I see people complaining about these constantly. I usually find that they don’t follow the instructions. If you use it the way it’s intended, it works great.
*************looked this video up to see if i was doing something wrong. its an absolute piece of shit.**************
Can I get that hour back?
Useless
How did you go with setting up the scope on your rifle ? Did you have any times where the range finder was not working correctly?
This the worst piece of junk. I'm ashamed I bought 2 of them.
What televison show is this from?
Vicar of Dibley
Any chance you could make a cleaning video, can’t figure out how to put the action back in :(
On this gun? I'm not sure but I thought Nioa had one up already
@@zainebeaton307 only one I could find was disassembly, which I followed but having trouble putting back
Shame. Just bought the Pard which is the same thing. Would have got this if I had known. Great review. Really appreciate the honesty. All the other reviews of the latest Pard were done at day time which seems odd as it's a night scope. Thanks for your effort.
what scope is that with the adjustment up on the front bell?
I think it was Swarovski?
Do they all have picture in picture.
Hi mate great review on this scope. Just wondering if you have used the atn 4k 5-20 and if so which would you say would be better. Both look good but I cant find a vs review. Any help with choice would be greatly appreciated.
Great review 👍
no left handed model?
music too loud, cant hear vocal well
Hi Zaine, What ammo did you cycle? I have the A22 and found it quite fussy and anti winchester. Great little rifle though.
I didnt do this test, but I believe it was cci maxi mag.
Looking at the ammo, that's an "A17R" in the video.
Will it load the 50 round drum mags?
If it's for a 10/22 and loads in the same motion as a normal bx mag, I don't see why it wouldn't since that's all that should matter from a mechanical standpoint
Great revew. Music not needed tho I think.
Good Review.. Would you consider this adequate for Rabbits at 50-80mt range .
Cheers! It would probably suit that kind of shooting quite well.
@@PalmersPhotos Are you going to review the OWL-NV N9 Night Vision Clip-On with screen , im leaning more towards the scope but the clip on is half the price .
@@AussieArcher1234 At this stage I'm not in a position to plan new videos, but that model does look interesting. I know that clip-on night vision like that is popular with some kinds of hunting, and it would definitely be easier to zero, but I would have concerns about how it would perform under repeated recoil and whether an illuminated screen would be more of a distraction or hindrance while hunting at night. Either way though, I would be very keen to try one out and do another video, but that's not likely to happen for a little while yet.
Thanks for interesting video
I've had 3 of these and they don't work very well. I load the first round but the loader always jams up.
I went with the lula 10/22 loader, has worked well no issues and loads any 10/22 magazine I usually use the bx25 no issues
Hi, when you can could you try some quality ammo through it too see what groups is can pull. cheers mate
Very very interesting.. perhaps a better camera might be in order?
Have you had any feed problems?
We haven't and none of our clients have, but we know of others who have. Presumably, it's the bolt face being bevelled too much, but I'm not taking a position on that yet.
Review coming soon?
I did write a brief one for the newsletter a couple of weeks ago, and that can be found on the blog section of our website. RUclips being RUclips we can't link you to it here, but you can if you check our website under the "News" tab you should be able to find it easy enough.
Dave in front of the lense!!! Top work Dave, THAT is a great video. Great detail, very unbiased & on point. Been missing the Beaton Friday Night videos but this gear review thing is a damn good thing. And yeah I prefer to listen to Bob Segar & BB King but even your music was quite ok. Keep up the great work. Now you just have to review a Burris Eliminator IV so I can then work out which to buy to justify a 300PRC hahaha
Thanks Peter! We are working on a couple more review of other digital scopes and might look into the Eliminator series at some point in the future, but they are quite different to the thermal here. Burris Eliminator scopes are an optical system with built in electronics that assist shooters with long distance hunting during the day, whereas these thermals are more for hunting at night.
How do the go in hot climate, such as up in the NT, as I have heard that some thermal scopes do not work in our hot climate
There has to be a difference in temperature for the scope to pick up a heat signature. You would probably see something, but the contrast at night in the NT would likely be less noticeable than it is here. That being said, it is still probably quite usable at night - during the day up there probably not so much.
@@zainebeaton307 thanks mate
