This is "The King of the Rideable Model Train Layouts....!! 37 miles of track... I'm told...? How many years and how many people did it take to lay all of this track.... Yikes??!! This is m"Real Mosel Railroading..." and not some H O Guage layout inside of a warehouse!!! Yup.... for sure...:). Ted Schempp, Nashville
Critical infrastructure destroyed. The first people who will cry when theres no power are the ones who destroyed it.
Where do you get all this flat land? I live in British Columbia, Canada. I would have to do a lot of blasting to put in a railway this big.
Like the drone view. It ruins the video every time somebody adds music. Every time! It is the most common complaint I see in the comments section. Do the people who post these videos not read the comments section?
Did anyone bother to figure the gross tonnage of the train?
Almost as sad as watching the charges going off on the Muskie
Is it too late to ask where the sound track is from?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹😄😄😄😄
The music on this is so good.
Ummm, saw the chimney change direction, oooops!!
I'd like to say it was a neat video. It was. I wasn't at Conesville very long. I spent 5 years there. It was always a good time. I just hope those from the old Columbus Southern group are doing okay.
What are the names of the pine trees that grow 6’, 7’, 8’ tall at Train Moutain
Wow, I can see why everybody was freaked out when the fire came through. I was there this year, 2022, and it's big field for the most part up top for Hope Circle. Interestingly, now that it's open, you can see the backside of Crater Lake, and the surrounding mountains, including the radio tower ridge up behind you! Quite impressive either way!
Fun to watch even more fun to ride
The train shot from the drone was cool and the shots of some of the nicer steam locomotives where awesome bur the music these people keep filling in from some renegade amateur Christian lone hermit to this one with the homemade collector who went with the noncommercial homley barnyard elevator tunes
incrivel RR
That is a railroad.
So sad they bought into the climate lie.
Ah I miss this place so much.
The 101 car train is very impressive in this size hobby!
Super
Super
hats off to the Drone Operator going backwards while flying forward is no easy feat ... to add to the concentration load lets get on a moving object at 22mph and not fall off ... Ahhh well these young guys and their Magic thumbs will win a war for us someday ... ;)
The gravity of this video is amazing.
Like to know the gauge of this layout
7.5 inch gauge
Awsome
I worked there off and on from '05 to '08, good folks all around there. I'm still in that dinosaur industry, but not much longer. Time goes in one direction only.
Higher electric rates cant replace baseload power during adverse weather conditions...the days of surplus power in temperature extremes is gone now...
The cooling tower just "threw in the sponge" and collapsed. But that smokestack was defiant to the end. It survived about another 25 seconds beyond the blast to topple it not to mention apparently doing some "revenge...I'll show you!" damage to the adjacent electric substation. Thanks for sharing!
So sad and so avoidable. Federal and State policies have brought the pre-mature retirement of too much fossil fuel generation. We'll pay the price if industrial load ever comes back in the U.S..
My dad had relatives near there and as a kid I remember visiting them and my dad would take us by there when they were first being built. A few years ago I had to work there a a subcontractor on a project. It was cool being right beside them. End of an era.
I'm guessing that they got the hippie down prior to making stacks go BOOM-BOOM?
End of an era. I used to watch for these stacks when I was riding the train home from college. They were a landmark that I could always see.
Very sad day... Wish they would've kept them as landmarks and a memorial to all of those who worked there in the past. Glad I got to witness it on my visit home this past weekend..
My grandpa was a boiler maker and helped build those stacks,
one more piece of America crumbled as they feel to the ground. They say it’s about saving the planet.I now realize every thing I was taught or learned in school was nothing but a bunch of lies.what falls from space burns to nothing what about what goes up in space guess it doesn’t burn up we’ve all been lied to about facts Science now I question that I think that is lies to let’s look around before they take it all away from us .Transforming America with clean green energy isn’t that Shocking.
I worked outside the building in 1989 with a company called Trans-Ash. I had my chauffeur drivers license from being in the Army. The regulations on things there were so tight I decided to make a career change and drove off the site never looking back. I don’t agree with blowing this up. We need backup resources and cheap electricity too! $314 electric bill this month in a very small ranch. NUTS!
Sadly the cost to keep it operating would’ve kept increasing energy prices for consumers… would be cool if they’d put a small modular reactor setup there with multiple reactors in it.
Why they take them down.. kind of stupid . Just like when tore down old lincoln school.
Tis a sad feeling!!😢
I loved the last plume of smoke coming from the second stack as it was falling. It was as if it were saying, farewell!
Recommend sending this video to daily dose of internet
Sad to watch. Lots of childhood memories of calling these the “dragons” as we passed them on our way home from Zanesville to Coshocton.
And just like that, a future of reliable energy gets flushed down to toilet for a solar farm. Idiots.
Nice video! Sad to see
Really sad
Probably needs a 40 foot semi trailer to carry all that rolling stock.
This is outstanding... Kudos to those that built the steamers, not to mention their operation (tis a lot of weight and in-train forces even when scaled down). I used to see live steamers on the occasional trip to Columbia, TN to catch one of their meets and it's a sound one never tires of hearing.
Super Video. Drone and in Cab view excellent. Side view of the rods interesting for 1 or 2 Minutes. Showing this view for so long takes all the dynamic out of the clip and is not very interesting to the viewer as it remains the same all the time. A front view would have been more interesting.
That was my initial plan! But memory card for front GoPro got corrupted
@@JimHenry2 Thanks for the quick reply. Look forward to your next video of this kind.
THANK YOU for preserving and keeping classic Americana alive.
I really enjoyed myself at the Large Engine meet in August!!, are there any more meets coming up this year?
Last meet of the year was last week. But come again next year! The website will have info
