Bushcraft is the use and practice of skills, acquiring and developing knowledge and understanding, in order to survive and thrive in a natural environment. Bushcraft skills therefore provide for the basic physiological necessities for human life: food, water sourcing and purification, shelter-building, and fire craft. These may be supplemented with expertise in twine-making, knots and lashings, woodcarving, campcraft, medicine/health, and natural navigation.

Zippo Fire Starting Paracord Does it work? Is it worth it?
the only people I here in my area are about 10 guys on channel 20 where they hang out. and sometimes Spanish speaking people on channel 9. I live 4 miles from the interstate and here no one on channel 19. even though I believe in CB and been in it off and on since 1967 i will always own one.
Yes its always good to have one we use GMRS also and its great also
Smash power supply
Local cb is dead skip on the other hand is screaming with little or no static UK comes across regularly
Use to use??
I have bought two and I'm honestly thinking about buying two more.... I love them. I use them to stay in touch with members of my hunting group......
Yes this radio is a beast.....look into BTECHs amp it will put out 40+ watts when used with it
A small pile of fat lighter shavings is what I use , I have this kit & 1 or 2 strikes is all it takes to get a fire going .
What do you do when the sun is blocked out?
Use a back up battery....but even when the sun is covered as long as it's still out the panels will produce something
i bought 950 model, thank you for a review
You're welcome!
Conditions come and go the same way since I've been on cb 1977. Cb will never be dead. Never. Unless you know how it operates every year and has worked the same way for years you can't say cb is dead. Watkins Glen NY waving 🤘 #12...
We use it and GMRS going for the HAM soon 👋
Not trying to sound weird but I am 75% sure I know where you are cause I heard it also a year ago on a uv5r on the same frequency on a little bit further like 6miles past that area
We were several miles away from the hard impact areas as well. These are great little radios to have for exact reasons like this! Maybe we will hear you sometime over the air!
Be sure to wait for the fuel to be directly below the secondary combustion top holes, or the stove won't burn properly, causing more smoke, and soot. Hand sanitizer, and liquid fuel will help start the burn.
Thank you for the tip!
If you want a safe and easy to obtain radiation source (mostly beta, but with a tiny amount of gamma) for testing then I would recommend getting some No-Salt salt substitute from your local grocery store and putting some of it in a plastic ziplock bag.
All of them.
While your HT is multi band, the amplifier is not. The link you have is for a UHF version and should only be used in those frequencies.
You are correct I believe we did mention to get the amp in the band you need they sell 3 different ones I think
@@thebackyardbushcrafters4417 Just pointing it out since you have a label next to the radio with the different frequencies and someone who might not know that, could use it wrong in an emergency.
@@Littrell1966 your right! didn't think about that one maybe I will hook it to a dummy load and see what the amp actually transmits on....
Any p3/p100 filter will work for CS/CN/CR and DM tear gas (DM adamsite appears as a canary yellow smoke), and pepper spray. Tear gas is a fine particulate smoke that's created when the solid agent is burned. It can be dissolved in methylene chloride and sprayed so there's some debate on if a particle filter would still work but tear gas is usually dispersed via smoke grenades.
Awesome! Do you have a step by step?
Thank you we may do a step by step soon!
Thanks for making this video it was actually very helpful
Your welcome!
Link to where you got it?

This is the SHTF zombie apocalypse type radio, last resort, civilization has fallen. YOU WILL NEED A LICENS TO OPERATE IT. Don't want to get in any trouble... All joking aside, love the setup.
lol we all know that the three letter won’t mean 💩 when it happens 🍻
lol the 3 letters won’t mean 💩 when it does 🍻😝
Just for reference, 144.200 is the Single Side Band calling frequency for 2m. The FM Calling Frequency is 146.52mhz.Unless your radio and amp can work both SSB/USB and FM, than you may want to update to the FM calling frequency.
Good to know we did program the list from chirp so maybe it’s right have to check
I have 4 BTech GMRS radios
Nice we have one
Great review. Thank you for taking the time to do a in depth review. Exactly what i was looking for.
Glad it was helpful!
CB & gmrs
Good eye!
Can't think of anything else to do? Everyone of rhese is the same on RUclips. Thinking is too hard
It’s a stove and works
I hope
Thanks for the video, but CB Radio won't be dead as long as I am on it- LOL. I hit the like and am following. UDX-21 South Carolina. Old Radio Night.
Haven’t used a cab since the 80s. When did 19 become the emergency channel. It was the main channel for everyone backthen
Not sure I don't think anyone cares anymore on CB. Unfortunately, many overmodulate and have huge power amps that makes normal conversations hard. But none the less it is still very active daily around me in several languages.
I'm running a similar setup, and from experience....mint will absolutely go bananas in a setup like this! Good luck
Yes it has unfortunately we had to get rid of it as a new fish got the tank sick and we had to medicate.....Thanks!
The upper right on - is President George II?
Aah found it. ROADKING RKCBBT.
@@martinst.24. Yes Road King
I wish the 880 and 980 uni rigs had blacked out versions, the chrome is nice but annoying with fake hex bolt heads like ricey rims. Time to get out the plasti-dip...😕
I won't communicate, I will take a break. 😂
😅😅
CB is the same where I live. No local activity. Only skip that can't hear you. I can pick up skip on my President Randy walkie talkie with a rubber duck antenna. Everything else is dead
Yea unless we get a higher antenna I don’t think we will hit anything either….GMRS on the other hand we hit repeaters 15 plus miles away
@@thebackyardbushcrafters4417 That RK rig can channel scan, either remove skip bogged or qrm noise channels, or scan a saved 10 channel sort. After 5pm it can scan/hunt for locals, but ch 19 is for truckers and a calling channel, so keep that in the mix. Don't let'em fool you, truckers get the privilage of using channel 19, on the Citizen's Band, so if you hear some chatter on 19 over s5, say hello. Anyone you know, remotely interested in a cb, find a cheap one, and be cb comcast guy and establish network, rather than hoard them, and enjoy the indoor cb antenna, that is not a danger during any bad weather, or HOA bait 👍✊
I bought one of these about a year ago and couldnt make heads or tails out of programming it, I ended up selling it for $20 at the pawn shop. I was so disappointed .
Ah man sorry to hear….you should pick one back up just to keep around they come in handy. It’s common for people to get one step wrong and you won’t communicate to anyone.
Yes I've got it all from 2 meters to 80 meters and all in-between! Police scanners and one radio I don't care to list! Also have a ship to shore radio!
In an emergency situation having comms is critical and the 3 letters won't matter
Looks like you have baofeng uv-5rh or similar model, i was wondering if know how jailbreak it because i can't find this info.
5RM TriBand
We are going to do a few videos soon
would like to see more programing on this radio thx
We can definitely do that for you. What are you trying to program in?
Here you go: ruclips.net/video/Q0CyBZTJCHQ/видео.html
Channel 6 (the super bowl) is trash radio. People running high power who never stop talking. But zero actual communicating.
2950DX an a Texas Star 250 still works great
Thanks for your comment!
Nope
?
cb has never been dead got to run a foot warmmer too allway buy ones with extras like older ones nice to have a vfo slider
Yes it's very active we also got into GMRS and that is coming along as well
Your swr aren’t bad at all for what you’re using for an antenna, but I would definitely get a base antenna, the higher the antenna the better your receive and transmit will be, especially in a shtf situation, but do yourself a favor, keep that radio as a base setup and don’t put it in the vehicle, that screen will wash out in the sunlight and is a pain in the arse. Oh, and is cb dead, no sir it isn’t, in fact the hobby is growing again. Hope you end up enjoying it, but again, get a base antenna as soon as you can financially.
Thanks for your comment and info 😊
That's not the correct way to tune your radio
We are learning as we go…..how would you go about doing it?
It's me Jimmy using my other account. Well using an external swr/watt meter. Then adjusting the antenna accordingly and seeing how the meter shows the optimal swr which is 1.1 . I never trust the internal swr meters specially from cb radios. Hf radios have more reliable meters at least but they also cost more expensive.
@@thebackyardbushcrafters4417 yes I totally understand ☺️
@@VOGDXEU Hey Jimmy yes we have an external meter as well we should have showed that as we do double check as a back up
Thanks for showing the blow dryer working. Curious what the specs are on that dryer 🤔
Aren't they all just mass produce different brand names on them
Most likely lol
Worth the money? Wish you would’ve told us how much it cost….. and what if you wanted to put your Stanley cup pot on the stove? it needs a few little accessory’s.
They are around 100 bucks it will hold Stanley items it has tabs or you can put a small grate on it
Definitely worth it heats fantastic, the only thing we don't like is it cannot be collapsed but that would take away from the rigidness and durability. So, it's a tradeoff of space vs durability.
7 o’clock on the dot…😂
Sure was lol
Yes it can keep you warm as long as it runs all night
We will see tonight lol
So far 76 inside and it’s 32 outside
What brand of thermostat is that??!??
Honey well here is the link: amzn.to/3SsfEpv It's really a great thermostat we have 3 and the app is seamless can control from your phone anywhere it has saved us tons of money on not wasting heat while away and preheating before we come home
The only heat we had was a wood burning stove, it was a 400+lb cast iron German box stove, it would get so friggen hot we would have to open a window to regulate the heat and thats with the draft down to #1 which was nearly closed completely. Great video, stay warm and may Peace be with you and your Family.🙏 P.S. throw a couple of handfuls of rock salt on the embers from time to time, that will keep the flue free from creosote accumulation and chimney fires.😏👍
Thank you for your comment! I bet that cast iron got hot....you & your family as well stay safe!
So is this extracting water from oil?
so the steam goes through and carries the water/oil mix to the condenser tube and cooled that's what separates the oil its very concentrated
