What I do is. Oh maybe it’s because they’re sick, oh did I get them sick? Are they annoyed of me? Even if they are it’s my fault for annoying them. Are they okay? Did I do anything wrong? What if they are sick or can’t come and feel bad for canceling, it’s my fault for planning it in the first place, if I wouldn’t have they wouldn’t have felt bad for canceling. What if they never cared in the first place? No they’re a good person? It’s all my fault Then I get exhausted of thinking of all the scenarios and reason Oh yeah it’s all my fault screw me, I don’t feel like thinking anymore, I’m sorry everyone for being alive. I feel so bad for becoming their friend I’m a bad person they deserve so much better, screw me. The end. Literally my thought process based on real thoughts I’ve had in a single situation just with maybe a few thoughts here and there removed.

Thank you for posting this helpful advice Kimberly! I have been struggling significantly with this over the past few days as have many I know. My mindfulness practice has helped, but I have also noticed an increasing difficulty just staying in the present moment because of all the ruminating over the what ifs and why questions. I'm taking a complete news media break today, and will make sure to limit my intake going forward as you suggest. I'll also continue working on embracing uncertainty, staying present, and staying active. Thanks!

I was self blaming for everything. I need to be perfect, I need to be kind, etc. when i can’t achieve that, then I self blaming. It’s suck. I was depressed in my 20s. People see me fine, smile, happy but tbh I’m extremely self critical. Then i saw it was my parents. I said I’m not that stupid, I’m kinda good but my mom just mocked me. It was devastating. How can you say that to your own child, no wonder I was so low self esteem as I grew up. It was so sad. How I wish I could tell the younger me everything is fine, it’s not your fault.
