I like watching your videos, i go fishing also but still learning when or where to catch certain type of fish here in yokosuka area. When do you normally start fishing for kissing fish? Thank you in advance!
Thank you for watching my videos! It depends on the region, but generally, the season for catching kissing fish in Japan is said to be from June to August. I hope this helps, and good luck with your fishing in the Yokosuka area!
@@KitanoFishing greatly appreciated your reply, thank you!
Greetings from Greece. Why don't you use X8 line, in Japan it's pretty inexpensive, here in Greece fishing equipment is 2,3 or even 4 times more expensive than Japan.
Thank you for watching from Greece! You're right, I'll try using X8 line in the future.
How come you change hands for squid fishing?
I'm not quite sure what you mean. Could you explain it a bit more?
I love your style of videos. Very relaxing, and always gets me in the mood to go out myself

Great fishing! Or should I say squiding?) I love your cooking and eating part. And the atmosphere is good. 🎉🎉🎉 Thank You!
Thank you for always watching and leaving such kind comments😊 We actually call squid fishing "Eging" here. I'm so glad you enjoy the atmosphere of my videos!
Hello man, i follow you fron Italy, i love your video very relaxing..what kind of fishing rod do you use? is for spinning?
It's so called Egi rods. For 🦑 fishing. And yes you can call it spinning cos it's a spinning.
@lesterburnham509 Thank you for answering the question👍 To the original commenter: Yes, @lesterburnham509 is absolutely correct. The rod I use is called an "Egi rod," which is specially designed for squid fishing. And yes, it’s technically a spinning rod too. Thank you for watching my videos from Italy-I’m glad you find them relaxing!
Thanks guys, I’m new to the world of fishing and am trying to learn.. to start spinning is okay or are there easier techniques? I love your style!
In my opinion, starting with spinning is totally fine! I started with spinning too because it’s easy to handle.
As usual, nice catch and cook bro !
Thanks, bro! Glad you enjoyed it!

Hey, i was wondering what’s the brand name of your gloves. i liked the fit !!
I got these gloves from a store called "Workman," which specializes in workwear and gear for construction and factory jobs. It's a very popular store in Japan, and many anglers buy clothes, shoes, and gloves from there too!
@ thank you~

Thank you👍

Is spearfishing allowed in the places you fish? because the water is perfect!
Spearfishing is generally not allowed here. If you're caught, local fishermen might rough you up, and you'll end up in prison.
@ but why? Why is it not allowed?
In Japan, marine resources are strictly regulated under a system called fishing rights (gyogyoken). This system is designed to protect the marine ecosystem and ensure the sustainable use of resources. As a result, people are not allowed to freely harvest marine life and can only do so using approved methods and in designated areas. Fishing with a rod is generally permitted, but spearfishing (free-diving with a spear) is subject to stricter regulations in certain regions and is only allowed in specific, authorized areas. Additionally, spearfishing can easily be mistaken for poaching, which often leads to conflicts with local fishermen and authorities. For these reasons, it may seem like spearfishing is not widely permitted in Japan. If you wish to enjoy spearfishing in Japan, it’s important to check the local regulations in advance and obtain the necessary permissions.
@ thanks for the amazing answer! I’ve always questioned why is almost no one spearfishing in Japan
Sono degli esemplari di rombo bellissimi complimenti sono dei pesci fantastici un saluto dal tuo nuovo amico dall’Italia 🤝🤝🤝🔔🔔

I have a thought about the fish you missed. Your machine already collects too long line in one turn. You're reeling too fast and the line tears the fish's mouth. I appreciate your respect for the environment. By the way, that amberjack was very small. 🙏🏼
Thank you for your feedback! You might be right about the reeling speed, and I’ll keep that in mind for the future. The amberjack I caught at the end was actually a perfect size for me to enjoy by myself, so I brought it home and gratefully ate it.
Great some kind of camping and fishing. Much more video please..Gretting from Türkiye..
Thank you from Türkiye! I'll keep sharing more videos like this, so stay tuned!
2 Questions: Why do you release the sea bass and don't you harm the fish's mucous membrane when you put them on the dry stones? Thanks for the great video
I release the sea bass caught near the river mouth because they tend to have a strong odor and aren't suitable for eating. Also, you're right-placing the fish on dry stones isn't ideal if I'm planning to release them. I'll be more careful about that in the future. Thanks for your thoughtful comment!
Great looking flounder, nice catch! Would love to see a video of how you cooked them!
Thank you for watching! I didn’t film the cooking this time, but I’ll definitely share more videos of catching and cooking fish in the future!
