I remember getting the Return of the Jedi paperback novelization when I was in the 5th Grade in 1983, just a matter of days before the movie came out. I didn't want to spoil the movie for myself but I was so obsessed with Star Wars and so anxious to find out anything about the new movie, I couldn't resist. I decided to just read a little bit. By that Saturday, when my Dad took the whole family to see the movie for the first time, I had gotten right up to the part where Luke enters Jabba's palace but no further. So the Rancor and everything after that was like one surprise after another.When I got home I devoured the rest of the novelization. I loved all the original Star Wars trilogy novelizations as a kid but the ROTJ novelization was my favorite and the one I read over and over again. Many, many years later as an adult, I thought it would be fun to revisit this novel in audiobook form, and looked it up. Only to discover that the iTunes store had EVERY one of those hacky "Expanded Universe" Star Wars audiobooks you can imagine - and the only ones they DIDN"T HAVE, was the original trilogy novelizations!! So thank you very much for posting this on RUclips.

I'm glad I kept all of the original books before they slapped that Legends label on them. I've read them all and are keeping them for my kids to enjoy.

Nice to know once & for all that Han did, indeed, shoot first. In fact, Greedo didn't even get a shot in at all, lol. Also good to know: why those storm troopers ran away from him, why Blue Leader left Luke in charge, why the Death Star was unprepared for the Rebel attack (though they should have been prepared for ANYTHING), that there was more than 1 unnamed survivor from the Death Star run, & (most importantly) that Chewbacca WAS supposed to get a medal at the end. My boy was cheated!

Great series thanks for these. Sounds like your on hiatus but if you come back you should do galaxy of fear. Haven’t seen that series done, I think it came out around phantom menace

Hide gems' AI is horrible and he doesn't seem to care to improve it and the only good audiobooks he's uploaded are either originals or nicked from somewhere else. I think he's just grabbing for likes and subs.

I used to see the book in the supermarket when I was a kid. I think it was probably the first time I realized there was a Star Wars EU. I'm so happy I get to hear this 30 years later.

I collected this whole series this is unarguably the best Star Wars Comic series

I checked magenta on Google. Normally, it leans more red- like with Sith. However, it can lean more purple as well. A fact I find quite intriguing. Working in textiles for some decades, I've only seen this color in the bright red spectrum; and I mean Bright! So, seeing magenta leaning purple (technically blue) is educational. And fun! Mara Jade with a redish-purple lightsaber. That's just.....Delicious.
