Tuito and surrounding areas are very safe. Vallarta is Safer than Surrey, BC. Baja is very different from here. I have lived here for 10 years now, have walked the Malecon at 1 a.m. and felt very safe. But if you are coming here, drink and party and get rowdy at night, then you are the problem! Yes,I drive all over the area, including Tuito, and have never had problems! Thanks NOT for spreading fear and distrust.

The Pescador hotel is cheap and nice. It's right when you stopped at the beach. We also shopped at Ley, and ate at Lolita's. Go if you can. 😋 It's sad to see graffiti on the malecon wall facing the water. 😟 The Amaca and Hotel Suites La Siesta are good, and the Andatti coffee at OXXO is my favorite. 😋

Don't forget to wear a helmet to protect your head. You need to be there for your family. 😊

What a crock of B.S. ! We’ve lived in Puerto Vallarta 15 years and have visited many of the surrounding areas with absolutely no issues. Don’t wander through rural areas at night, stay far away from the drug trade, don’t stagger around drunk in town and you’re good. Far safer than cities in the U.S., that’s for sure!

Are the street food vendors there every day?

All these US people saying how unsafe the US is ….. is not unexpected in a polarised country with drug problems and a population that is heavily armed.

Thanks Oscar, I loved this tour all the way down the Malecon. I was able to recognize everything along the way. I have walked it several times as a tourist from the states. It's been a cou0le years since I was there last and I miss it.

I've been around all México. Vallarta and the Rivera Nayarita it's Disney Land.The only people that are killed are on there motorcycle..Who is this guy trying to put fear in us..Go to T.J, Tepito, Iztapalapa, Acapulco..get a job

I live in Mismaloya. When it rains the river has sediment- just like the Cuale in PV when it rains. Nothing to do with the people Oscar. The climate.

I like how quiet Mismaloya is...the security guard who watches the large gate leading into the set offered to let us into it for a few hundred pesos..lol

This restaurant can be found at the Mercado Municipal Rio Cuale. This is at Calle Encino and Calle Matamoros at the Cuale River. Also at highway 200 north bound on the north side of the Cuale River.
