ALWAYS use a NEW crush washer (aluminum or copper) on your sump pan drain bolt and then tighten it to the torque recommended for your particular car - usually between 18 - 22 ft lbs. The crush washer prevents stripping the threads and also provides a better seal. Also, pre-fill the oil filter with new oil to prevent a dry start and be sure to coat the rubber gasket with oil before installing it. Make sure the old gasket from the removed oil filter did not stick to the engine.

The western US has been going trough a drought for awhile. Still a nice harvest. We had no luck with the elephant garlic this year. A couple came up but didn't develop into much. Weplant our music garlic in full sun in quite fertile ground. So I do think those were probably some factors for sure. Be sure to select the largest cloves to replant in the fall as that will make a difference over time.

I've noticed that if you need to add some more wood pellets because you're running out and you're flame is getting weaker, try not to add too much or just add a bit at a time. At one time I added too much and smothered out/ killed the flame and had to re-start it. So basically just add a little at a time not to snuff out the fire/flame.
