This movie is heartbreaking and sad

On this case, all I can see is that they failed to make her hair blonde and give some contact lenses to make the eyes blue, not that it is needed though. But, as someone who is not from the USA, is she really considered black there? I am pretty sure in most countries here in South America she would be considered white by her skin color and hair ( which is not uncommon to have white people with that hair, as most countries around here are full of mixed races people )

People love to complain for the sake of it. How can ANYONE can complain about this cast? Dude look like he came directly from the cartoons and comics! He is just as a perfect cast for John Stewart as Robert Downey Jr was for Tony Stark!

What's interesting is that in Slavic folklore, including Poland where I live, we have an interesting old legend about a spirit named Lady Midday (or "Południca") who was said to appear in fields in the moments the Sun is at it's peak and was believed to be a cause of sunstroke to those who worked too long in full Sun, like a kind of divine/demonic punishment. Here obviously we're not on any Slavic territory, and I got a feeling the premise and motives of the villain are much different, but the ressemblance is uncanny 😊 She too appears in broad daylight and carries a scythe (or did I missee it in the trailer? Lol I could) 😊 Can't wait to see the movie ❤

Belly did not hit for me. Nas, DMX & Method Man are my favorite artists but Belly wasn’t it. Each movie taught us life lessons, launched a lot of careers, starrs rappers, directed by black film directors, people have named themselves after the characters, each movie has been referenced in songs, other movies & tv shows & each movie is still relevant 30 plus years later. Wesley Snipes was the biggest actor in the 90s. He was bigger than Denzel Washington, Laurence Fishburne & Samuel L. Jackson. Pookie should have been in the X games the way he was riding that bicycle. Judd Nelson looked out of place in this movie due to him being a member of the brat pack & being in The Breakfast Club & St. Elmos Fire. Here are some fun facts: Martin Lawrence was supposed to play Pookie. He didn’t due to the untimely death of his mentor comedian/actor Robin Harris. Martin took Robin’s death really hard. Chris Rock bombed the audition. What made the writers, directors & producers have a change of heart when he said it keeps calling me man & calling me man. He embodied the crackhead role. Vin Diesel was in this movie. He was a bouncer at the club in the beginning. He’s unrecognizable because he had hair.

Boyz N The Hood is the quintessential hood classic. Rewatching this as an adult i realize that Ricky wasn’t street smart due to him being coddled by his mother. He laughed at Trey when Trey told him that he was afraid to have sex & he didn’t take Ferris & his crew serious when they were coming for him. Brenda’s favoritism towards Ricky did more damage to Doughboy than the hood ever did & Brenda lost both of her sons as a result of her favoritism. Here are some fun facts: Will Smith was offered the role of Trey but declined due to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, little Ricky was played by Dovonan McCrary. He’s the brother of Darius McCrary (Eddie Winslow from Family Matters) & The girl who Doughboy called a bish was in Ice Cube’s Today Was A Good Day video.

Yeah, but most of these are only token black guys to fill an agenda at the box office. It really doesn’t work. Take Captain America brave New World that just sucked.

The most captured moment for me was at the end when doughboy was talking to Tre about his brother killing and then he dies a weeks later crushed me cause I know it’s really like that in some people life and the fact it didn’t make the news was deep a lot gems in this movie from the great John Singleton R.I.P

Geez him, the blonde and the hunk in the series Leverage great choreograph get timing good writing. I wouldn't expect any less from Timothy Dutton.

Nice line up, really enjoyed Tenet, admittedly took 3 watch-throughs for everything to click. One of the better hi-concept action flicks in a long time. I like that it required attention and treats it's viewers as full functioning adults, no spoon feeding.

i kinda hate it i think its political pandering idk. it's usually a case where they specifically tried to find a more marginalized character rather than a true to the original character just to relate to minorities or whatever, but i haven't researched into this one so idk if that's what it was this time. like if she's a good actor then its great but also i kinda feel like in live action adaptations they try to make the character look like the original (like they did with hiccup etc) so idk why race has to be an exception to that just for politics, cuz at that point you could just replace chris pratt as astrid. every piece of media that does the political pandering stuff is usually garbage too lol like just focus on making a movie cuz idgaf abt politics. i'm yapping cuz i'm procrastinating a school project and thinking abt random crap so sorry if u read this o7
