@javen743 I went in for a few beers, didn't eat but menu looked like standard chain frozen fare - think Brewer's Fayre / Beefeater - nothing wrong with it, serves a purpose and relatively cheap, but nothing to write home about by the looks of it. Personally, I had a wander in to town to eat. Staff in the pub were friendly and happy to point out other spots to eat in town.

Nice one - I'll give it a look - I think its fair to say that its the worst I've stayed at there - and better or worse is just a place on a sliding scale, it doesn't necessarily mean bad, but I know my missus would never stay here lol

Great question! There are a few answers to this! The most basic is that there are showers between the beach and the resort, but you don't really want to get your loofah lathered up in public, so it's an option for a quick spruce up, but not if you want to get your glam on. You could then change clothes in a clean loo. Next.option would be to use the showers / lockers in the Red Lane Spa. Showers, sauna and plunge pool (where available) are free at the Spa and you don't need to book them. Just make sure you find out what time they are closing! Third option - and I don't know if this exists at all Sandals Resorts - but some have a 'departure lounge' - dedicated shower room and lockers for people to use on their last day after they have checked out of the room, but before they leave the resort. I'm pretty sure Halcyon has one of these, but you'd need to ping them and email to double check. The final option - and this is down to availability, luck and who you happen to talk to on the day - but I have heard of folk asking if they can use an unoccupied guest room and being given one for the whole day for free - that has to be worth an ask! Hope that helps 👍

Cheers buddy - haha, I go halfway across the country and end up reviewing a gaff on your doorstep 🤣 breakfast was a damn sight better than ANYTHING on my manor, well worth a looksee, but you might wanna avoid the tea - can't see you being happy at over 3 quid for a brew 🤔

It's decent enough for the money, but so is a McDonald's cheeseburger - doesn't mean I think there's anything good about it. It looks like a 1960's council office from the outside and every other Heathrow hotel I've stayed in has been far better in my humble opinion. Stick up a link to your review video of it and I might change my mind 👍

@@ToothTalksTravel I don’t have a video review. As I said I stayed there twice and thought it was fine considering the price. Location was good, room was clean and comfortable, great views from the bar and breakfast was perfectly adequate.

* came back to edit because we’re staying in the millionaire Butler suite bit this one but I still definitely appreciate this post* So we are going the second week of January we always go to the Caribbean for that week and we fell in love with St. Lucia last year at Sugar Beach this year, we decided to go with this sandals all inclusive thing because money and access to the golf. I’ve watched a couple videos from travel agents, and while cool, it feels like they are selling their services and they’re not really allowed to stay in their rooms or spend much time. so I might put together one of these reviews late January. I’ve never done that before, but I’m so appreciative This one

Thank you. We always use RUclips to research our holiday locations and we know lots of other folk do as well. The travel agent videos are great to get a look at the place but you're right, they are a sales lead so they aren't going to criticise the product they are selling. We've really valued videos made by tourists in the past and that's exactly why we decided to invest some of our time away to make videos for other people - it would be easier to just lie on the beach but we wanted to give something back and maybe in 10 year's time it might generate enough views to pay for a free vacation somewhere ☺️ I'd love to see your video if you do it - please drop the link to me on here 👍🏻 Hope you have an amazing time - I'm a little jealous as those Millionaire Suite looks absolutely stunning 😁

It's ok once you get down into underground walkway, as you really just go straight all the way - the only slightly confusing bit is that not all the lifts go to Level -1 and I didn't see any signage up there that helped. As long as you go to the far lifts and get in one that goes to -1, it's OK, if not a little claustrophobic 👍

Ah buddy, that's music to my ears - that's the reason we put the time in to record and edit this stuff - thank you and me n Mrs Tooth both hope you have a great time! You can do as you wish when it comes to tipping butlers - my advice would be to let them know that you'll tip at the end of the week, that way you can decide on how much per day each and take into account any exceptional or problematic service. If you do it daily and there's an issue, it could be embarrassing to withold the tip for that day. Also, if you do decide to tip at the end of the week, ask each butler when their last shift with you is, that way you can make sure to personally hand it to them. A lot of folks take a little thank you card for each butler with them - saves on having to hand over a wodge of notes 👍

I must have watched all your videos now and this one probably 6 times lol. Someone just posted on another group that you see 2 - 3 different butlers in the same day not something I had thought about. so if we see 3 in a day should we be allowing around $90 per day for tips ? Also we will be travelling from the UK so will need to change some cash up, what's best US dollars or the east Caribbean dollar? Thanks in advance 👍

@@johnnyfive9254 ah thank you - I genuinely appreciate you investing the time in the videos and the feedback ☺️ so, that's kinda right, we usually saw 2 butlers a day, sometimes 3, but they also have a couple of days off a week each, so you're likely to have a max of 3 butlers x 5 days. We allowed $20 USD a day each for standard service - which worked out to $300 USD total, then we had a 'slush fund' of an extra $150 USD to split based on exceptional service, so one butler got $120 for the week, one got $150 and one got $180. But seriously, $20 a day each for each day you see them is a good baseline. US dollars are fine in most places and you won't need anything else on the resort. If you want to go to some local bars, ECD are more widely accepted 👍

Yes, absolutely - nothing was too much trouble for the butlers here - we had a bottle of prosecco in the room everyday, and another in our coolbox, and the bottles of liquor that I requested via the Butler Preference Form were restocked as soon as they were close to running out.
