Great videos we have booked for our honeymoon in April same room as in your video. Your video's are the reason we chose La Toc Do you tip your butlers at the end of each day or af the end of your stay ? How does it work. Thanks for the excellent content in your videos so much information
Ah buddy, that's music to my ears - that's the reason we put the time in to record and edit this stuff - thank you and me n Mrs Tooth both hope you have a great time! You can do as you wish when it comes to tipping butlers - my advice would be to let them know that you'll tip at the end of the week, that way you can decide on how much per day each and take into account any exceptional or problematic service. If you do it daily and there's an issue, it could be embarrassing to withold the tip for that day. Also, if you do decide to tip at the end of the week, ask each butler when their last shift with you is, that way you can make sure to personally hand it to them. A lot of folks take a little thank you card for each butler with them - saves on having to hand over a wodge of notes 👍
I must have watched all your videos now and this one probably 6 times lol. Someone just posted on another group that you see 2 - 3 different butlers in the same day not something I had thought about. so if we see 3 in a day should we be allowing around $90 per day for tips ? Also we will be travelling from the UK so will need to change some cash up, what's best US dollars or the east Caribbean dollar? Thanks in advance 👍
@@johnnyfive9254 ah thank you - I genuinely appreciate you investing the time in the videos and the feedback ☺️ so, that's kinda right, we usually saw 2 butlers a day, sometimes 3, but they also have a couple of days off a week each, so you're likely to have a max of 3 butlers x 5 days. We allowed $20 USD a day each for standard service - which worked out to $300 USD total, then we had a 'slush fund' of an extra $150 USD to split based on exceptional service, so one butler got $120 for the week, one got $150 and one got $180. But seriously, $20 a day each for each day you see them is a good baseline. US dollars are fine in most places and you won't need anything else on the resort. If you want to go to some local bars, ECD are more widely accepted 👍
That's very informative, thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience we just cant wait to get there now 🙂. All the best to you and Mrs Tooth 👍
That one comment killed it for me I don't want to be fighting for a sunbed on the beach or parasols go to galley bay in Antigua all beachfront apartments come with designated loungers and parasols stress free
Nice one, cheers - will take a looksee - and yeah, this resort especially - beach shade is a premium - unless you go butler you need a LOT of luck 👍🏻 glad it helped buddy 💯
@@clivebonneywell6967 Thank you - genuinely appreciate the feedback - we always use RUclips to research locations before we invest our hard-earned cash, and that's all we hope to do - give folk enough info to make the decision that's right for them 🙏🏻👍🏻
Great video! Can you tell me if there are elevators? I’m traveling with someone with limited mobility. I saw lots of stairs , how ADA accessible is it ? TY
Thank you! I didn't see any elevators, but I think a couple of the room buildings near the lobby have them. Sandals' own website says of Regency La Toc: "This resort... will pose challenges for guests with mobility issues." There's more info here: www.sandals.co.uk/accessibility-guide/ My advice would be to get in touch with the resort directly so that they can plan ahead to make your stay great for you: www.sandals.co.uk/contact/ Hope you have a great time 👍
Tooth Talks Travel Thanks for posting! We had a butler at Sandals Grande St. Lucian and can't wait to go to La Toc in September! When we went to Sandals Ochi they wouldn't let me take any alcohol home with me that I used during the week. Do you think they really mean it when they say we can get bottles replenished daily? I adore that rum cream! Cheers!
Thank you! Yes, absolutely - nothing was too much trouble for the butlers here - we had a bottle of prosecco in the room everyday, and another in our coolbox, and the bottles of liquor that I requested via the Butler Preference Form were restocked as soon as they were close to running out. Hope you have a great time ☺️
What’s the score with the sunbeds , I’m reading if you don’t have a butler you need to be up at 6 . Don’t think that’s 5 star luxury when your paying thousands, expect that in a 2 star in Spain .
Lots of people said that to us at this resort - some were getting up at 5am! Having said that, we used the other two pools for the most part and there were always free beds available (Pitons Pool and Sunset Bluff Pool). I wouldn't hold your breath for a bed on the beach though.
I'm interested to know what you think would be a fair price to pay for that room? Of course, not forgetting that the £10k included premium flights to and from UK 👍
Lots of good pics of walls steps, floors, roofs , close ups of plants and plenty of zooming around with the camera to make me dizzy ...excellent. But lots of improvements and alterations since i went back in 1987 . I remember most the beautiful gardens and incredible humming birds .
I'm glad you managed to see the improvements and alterations amongst all the walls, steps, floors, roofs and plants - you must have eagle eyes! 😂 We're just trying to help fellow tourists know what to expect ❤ I did pop over to your profile to check out your videos, and hopefully see some examples of how to make better RUclips videos that don't offend sensitive eyes, but I couldn't find any? 👀 I'm sure you could help out with your expertise 😊
Glad to be of help 😊 ...ps if you want a trip around the island , dont book through the hotel and get ripped off . Book your own taxi , a hell of a lot cheaper . The worst experience was walking around Castries and being mobbed every two nano secs by souvenier sellers .

Lol. Benidorm vibes
So you gave inaccurate information. The birdhouse structures are actually the wifi boxes, not birdhouses for pest control. I thought you should know.
Ahaha... You learn something new everyday! Thank you! I enjoy Juggling Midlife by the way - you have some great content there 👍
Ofcourse it's not bloody worth it
F**K that !!!!

I visit St Lucia often, and 10k is NOT worth it!
Always good to hear what folk think about it - helps out everyone who is considering it - thank you 😊
This place sucks.
