I think that If the famicom disksystem was released in the us, then people might have got confused with it. Also alot of game piracy probably would,ve hit the us market much earlier: And i also think that if smb the lost levels was released in the us, that people probably wouldn’t have liked it because of it’s difficuilty and being not so innovative as the first game. I can imagine that if i played this game with my sister back then, we probably would,ve gave up on it way too fast because of being too difficult and boring because of not looking or sounding any better then the first game🤣 Likely i was finally able to beat the famicom version of this game in late 2024.

The video that comes out of the nes is the same as earlier consoles, it’s not a true signal but a single signal that diverges out to 60 peaks. This results in the 60 colors we see but none them are defined so the nes looks different on every tv it’s plugged into. RGB is a form of clear uncompressed signal and is the standard for television displays and monitors rendering all information in three numerical values each representing red, green or blue. A scart cable is one way (if it’s wired to) of transmitting an rgb signal from a source to a destination without any loss as long as the cord isn’t too long.

There were two versions of the nes released in Japan like the us. That is the one you want if you want to get a famicom because the other earlier release only outputs rf. The Japanese one can play games which have hardware allowing for more voices in them. They won’t work in a North American nes because our’s doesn’t support sound hardware in game paks so If you’re an nes lover I recommend getting both so you can experience all the games in their full glory.

I doubt the switch 2 will be an outright flop since Nintendo fans won’t have an alternative, at worst I’m guessing it will underperform if not be comparable to the switch is terms of success, I don’t think it has much of a chance to outperform the switch but stranger things have happened. Currently my best guess currently is that it’ll do slightly better than the 3DS did, let’s say 80 million copies by the end of it’s life
