ELITEWILL 3 POSITION TRIMMER RACK INSTALL
Why is the intro so loud and you so quite
Great info, thanks!
I went back and fourth on the 350 and the 150. Yesterday lowes had an open box sale on the 150BT for $149.99 missing one tube and instruction manual. I bought it and ordered an extra tube on Amazon for $17 and downloaded the manual on line so i think that was a pretty good deal. I never buy open box stuff but the guy at lowes was like it's brand new never been started and its guaranteed or money back. I took it home filled it with premixed fuel from husqvarna and she started up on the 3rd pull.
Thank you for sharing.
What do you think would be the thickest branch it would cut?
@@RaphaelTheSirion honestly probly 1/2-3/4. I know I have gone thru 1/2" before and I think it just kinda whittles away at the thicker ones. Hope this helps
I just picked up 4 brand new ones in the box next to the dumpster. Time to put it together
What are you jacking your mower deck up with and what are you spraying for rust prevention
@@jeremystephens-m1i using a harbor freight mower lift. I use different thing for rust prevention. For winter storage I use fluid film. During the mowing season, I try lots of different thing....fluid film, Pam, used oil. The oil seems to last the longest so far...helps clumped up grass come off easier
Mine doesnt work so well, im switching to Stihl
I'm sorry to hear that. Have you taken it to a dealer to see if something is out of adjustment...maybe on the carb? I would do that before dropping money on another blower imo. Thanks for watching.
I bought one and it makes a squealing noise then dies. Anyone know what is wrong?
When does it make the noise? Mine will squeal when I squeeze the handle to engage the drive. I have figures out to squeeze it slowly, a little more squealing, but doesn't bog the motor. Hope this helps your situation.
@@KirkpatrickLawnCare it started working better at first it would squeal and not do anything then it’s like something loosened up it it only did it when it was digging and that’s soft dirt I’m working
@@KirkpatrickLawnCare I bought some gear oil and put in it that grease was too thick I didn’t add but just a little then the more I used it the better it worked
I cant figure out how to get the handle on the thing
I honestly am not sure. Mine came put together. I will look and get back to you soon
If you are talking about the 'D' handle, the handle snaps on and then there is a long screw that goes in one side all the way to the other side. Thats how mine is anyways. Hope this helps.
It's nice to see an honest review. Thanks.
And I got the wing nuts and don’t know where they go nether any one knows?
I have the same tiller it's a beast in my Rocky environment. Blows away every piece of junk over priced overrated Troy Bilt I've ever used.
great FC welder! can't beat it's performance for the price.
I love that welder. I don't welder thick metal. Its has settings for up to 3/16" but I have welded 1/4" with no problem
That's a fine deal for 50$. I just mounted mine and was trying to figure out where the extra piece went. It's a spool holder.
Thank you for this video. I am getting a rear tine tiller soon as I am older and got back problems. My front tine broke today.
I bought one of these off FB Marketplace for 400.00. Evidently HD dumped them for 199.00 to several distributors that they liquidated to. I am tilling a new piece of ground that is a mess but this thing will power thru the stuff. I have had to stop several times to clear the tines of briars and vines, etc. I've figured out to just take the tines off to make it easy. I'm calling Champion tomorrow to see if there is a way to register it after buying from a second party. Would buy this again especially at the price I paid and there are still a lot of people that have these things on FB.
I'm seeing the Champion and even more of the "Legend Force" tillers on FB (all new in crate) mostly selling in the $400-450 range. Those appear to be identical tillers excepting for the engines (and color/decals). My 7500 watt Champion gas generator has been 100% reliable for 8 years albiet it's only run every few months for 10 minutes as my whole house standby power source.
The transmissions in these call for 0 or 00 weight grease. It's grease that flows and it is hard to find. It is common as you run the tiller for the factory grease to works its way to the rear tine gear box. When this happens the grease level drops and the factory tells you you can use a very thick gear oil like 80w140 to top it off. Because it's not enough to make much of a difference. But if you need to change the grease in the transmission for some reason and you are refilling it do not use gear oil! Only use 0 or 00 weight grease for a refill. ruclips.net/video/eVwmn3SS8AI/видео.html
The front cone will turn it's just a biotch. You need someone else to keep the other half from turning
Thanks for the video. You've convinced me not to get the Worx one. I've got two long bushes, quite tall ones around the new house and this seems too weak to deal with that. Thanks.
L
Does it get slippery? And the dust stick a lot to it?
So far it seems fine. My trailer sits at a little bit on an incline when I load it. The tires on my mowers don't seem to slip at all even when wet. Dust doesn't seem to stick to it. I had some mud and dried grass stick but washed right off with garden hose. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching
talk about piss poor engineering,. my wife and I are going to go thru this crap everytime we hook this up? I expected a better designed product from Husqvarna.
Honestly it takes about 5 minutes to hook the whole thing up after you do it once. Yes it could be better. My only complaint other than the deck bungee cord is the fact that it takes about 5-7 minutes and it's full. If you have a big yard you have to dump allot 😒
Hey, cheers brother. My girlfriends parents just gave me this blower brand new. I maintain some property for them and so this was a thank you for all you've done type thing. I appreciate your video and im excited to run the ol' hog
I have a 350bt that I've owned for 12 years. I've never done a single thing to it aside from put gas in it and go! I literally mean nothing, not cleaned the air filter, changed the plug, nothing! I didn't even know it had a primer bulb until i saw your video 😂😂😂😂😂 Evidently it's not needed lol, i choke mine and give er 3-4 good pulls and she starts every time! Worth every dime i paid for it which was $295 off Amazon.
❤ it I have a generator Champion
What happen to your hand.?? Be careful..
Not sure honestly lol. Probably scraped it on something not paying attention....my wife and daughter say I'm good at that lol. Thanks for watching.
Does it use regular gas?
Yes it does. I only run ethanol free in my small engines tho. Thanks for watching
Very informative video! With some of the complaints you read online, you were good at being proactive and showing us a good solution. Thanks!!
I appreciate that. Thank you for watching
Bought a champion generator throughout our hurricane season it ran like a champ and still does, just bought a champion tiller still in the crate! Can't wait to put it together and get it running got a great deal on it on market place on Facebook $350 never used, Now they cost $899 I hear. Thanks on the reviews on this item. Never knew champion actually made tillers was looking for a toro as well. Sounds like I hit it lucky. 😊
I want more power. I want more power now damnit!! Oh' I only want to fill its tank once a yr too.... Sorry guys, cake and eat it too only rolls through once a yr for you! Oh' you'll need to bake it your damn selves btw! I own this beast, my old 323l is still going strong, with just a primer bulb in 13yrs. Love Husky trimmer head too, tough as hell unlike speed loads I practiced loading mine an hour or so when new, it was a breeze afterwards. Look at manual, some vids online showing it wrong. I cared for a cemetery & school & bumping tombstones 10 seasons, its still going strong. Also mowed a few freinds big yards & my 3 acres. There tough dude! I don't flip trimmer to load string, I just set it on ground/table upright. Pop bottom off, load real, put real in lower rim & pop bottom back on trimmer. Breeze! They took half choke off these, big mistake but EPA pricks I guess? My 323l starts 1st/2nd pull like clockwork since new, adjusted carb twice in 13yrs on pump gas. Drain everything in winter. My 525lst takes 1-2 more pulls due to that half choke missing. Still best trimmer on market power/weight, cuts as fast as you can run using Vortex line. Had to set my new line in hot garage for a week this round, too soft when I got it, it cuts perfect now! Freind says Echo line does better after curing out too fwiw? As a plastic molding tech trust me when I say this: If any line gets brittle just soak in water 48hrs to soften it up, let it dry put a day or two and it's like new again. Nylon absorbs/loses moisture both...Don't toss old brittle line, soak/cure it out to get its moisture level corrected, its all new again. Real dry can take soaking twice to save it..Peace!
You made that look easy. Isn’t there also another belt for the hydros ?
Thank you and yes there is. The deck belt would have to come off the crankshaft in order to change the hydro belt. I haven't had to change it yet but with almost 400 hours, I feel like it's getting close. When I do I'll post a video showing how to do it. Thanks for watching
Thank you for noting the jelly like trans fluid. Mine was the same, and it surprised me there was no info. This unit calls for 85w 140, not grease. I looked far and wide and found you did mention in the video, more than I can say for any others. I also read more than a few that had the trans fail. I would think grown adults would check ALL fluids in ANY powered product they own before EVER using. I may be be a weird Dude but...wow....
Thanks for the comment and thank you for watching 👍
Thanks for the maintenance tips and additions to the zero turn mower. I have a Spartan RZ-54 and it makes cutting my 2 acres a breeze. The only additions that I have done to it are to install the light assembly and shock absorber for the seat. Both work very well. Keep the vids coming.
IF you could which one would you really buy? you referenced one that was a bit more expensive. which one was it? Pls share the brand and model. thanks.
The one I really wanted was a Yardmax dual rotating rear tine tiller. Because of covid, they weren't getting shipped here. I believe they were $800 or are $800. Which is around $100 more than what I paid for mine. With the yardmax, you can change the direction of the tine rotation, forward and reverse drive, and can drive without the tines engaged. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE my champion tiller, but I was really wanting the Yardmax. I believe its a YT4565. Thanks for watching.
They are on sale at Home Depot for 179 right now
I just picked mine up from HD today. Still in the crate from China.....179.00
This thing for $200 at Homedepot is a Crazy deal😮
Yup, I was able to get one before the price went back up to $599👍
I just bought it for $161 with a 10% discount code
I just got one!!!
Mines is on the way
Got mine on the way!!! How they had 7500 avail, baffled my family! That would fill a whole warehouse!
Thanks for the review! HD has it right now for $179 shipped if you hurry.
Crazy deal! I had no intention of getting a tiller but at this price I can find some uses for it.
The threads on the bolt you put in will eat the rubber bungee cord out faster
If you're referring to the bolt on the tube I put in, it has a sleeve on it to keep the threads from cutting into the bungee cord. Thanks for watching 👍
Thanks for the review!
You're very welcome 👍
why take away from cargo space inside the trailer deck ? I'm surprised that you would take up deck space
So the rack only takes up a couple inches on the inside. The rest is over the rail and on the outside of the rail. There is still plenty of space of I wanted to haul cargo instead of mowing equipment. Thanks for watching.
@@KirkpatrickLawnCare would have just as easily put the foot on the wheel well angle iron lip, taking up 0 deck space.
So rewatching the video, you are absolutely correct. It honestly never crossed my mind to put it like that. If I do need the extra space, I can just weld a couple small pieces of angle iron to the top rail so I can mount it on the outside. Thank you for pointing that out to me. Has my brain contemplating redoing it that way now 👍
@KirkpatrickLawnCare I watched it once and was like hmmmm if mounting there, he could have used the out side wheel well outer rail which is much more solid than the wood deck.
What was you space between the rack inside to inside? Mounting mine during lunch today and I use the 324L husky 4 stroke I have two of them. I also just picked up a brand new stihl 91r I think which is 4 stroke I think have not even looked at it since I purchased on Saturday
42,44 or 48” ?
I did title it wrong. Sorry about that. It is a 44 inch sweeper. Thanks for watching
so is there no neutral to just free wheel it? besides having to "move the tires"
Sorry no. it has forward and reverse in which the tines move either direction. but it order to free wheel it, you have to remove the pin and slide the tires inward. i never move the tires lol. i just motor it around to where i need it or am storing it. thanks for watching.
@@KirkpatrickLawnCare hey thanks for the reply man.
Should've filmed the satisfaction of pulling that vine mess down!
Yeah, didn't have the camera that day lol
😮
The holes didn’t make up on my trailer. Do I need to make my own holes?
I assume your talking about the hole that are predrilled in the rack itself? Is so, if they don't line up then I would drill new holes for it. Be aware tho, that as thin as the rack is, an extra hole will weaken it more. I suggest backing it up with angle iron as I did in the video or at the least a flat piece of steel. Thanks for watching
Its $550 should i get ?????
I would in a heartbeat. I paid a bit more for mine in Oklahoma and it was a floor model.
Does ithave reverse
@@mountainmamamakeup5602 yes it has reverse. When in reverse, the tines rotate the opposite direction. I find that when going in reverse I just pick up on the handle bars a bit and it will move just fine. Hope this helps
I can’t believe it arrived today! 😎 I’m an “opportunist” on line shopper and this came out on a glitch from HD at $179 a few months ago. I have no use for it, nor had a chance to review it, but for that price I just saw it and knew it was a heck of a deal! I only regret not getting more but sometimes on those glitches greed can breaks the sack if ya know what I mean. So I only ordered the one. Well three months later I had forgotten about it until driver called me this morning that he’s on his way! 😂 For $179 and free shipping 😳 I’m happier then a hog in a wallow. 😃 🐽 😎
looks great, I want to do it to mine but wondering if its going to be slippery?
After 3 months, it seems to not be slippery at all. I live in Oklahoma and the humidity here makes the trailer wet every morning. I walk on it and load my mowing equipment on it and haven't slipped or slid yet. Is holding up well to the traffic on it so far. Thanks for watching
Tillers are hard to find this year. I have seen a few front tine ones, but no rear tine ones at the stores. I have an old one that is getting too heavy for me. I would like to get a smaller one, but no luck in finding any at all.
Trackor supply , lowes and home depot don't carrier in the store on battery ones😂😂😂😂 called all over today
I used one of those in already plowed and disked ground and it was way harder than I expected, it would drift one way or the other and I had to stop, pick up the tines (this thing is heavy), reverse and put it back on course....front tine tillers are way easier.
