There is only one way to solve your padel problems and it’s called FOOTWORK
seen a lot of service videos. But this one is the best. Thx
A concern to me is from where are you generating the inertia to move the raquet head. If I do shadows, I noticed that moving the raquet from the triceps does not generate enought acceleration. I noticed moving shoulder upwards and letting the raquet flow generates more inertia. Probably also the same applies from the legs. At the end, muy cuestión is, which muscles generates the main inertia motion over the racket head? Shoulders? I suspect this is a key point that no one talks about. Thx for great video!
Interesting question. Three things, the lag from your racket head, the Archien of your core which is like a bow that you reliese, and the legs push up. All these connected creates the racket speed, kick and inertia for the ball to jump and kick.
Ah I was in padel art yesterday but haven't seen you. Are you doing coaching in Dubai these days?😊
Hello! We were there last week and now back home. Hopefully we can see Tasty in Dubai 2025
@tastyplayhard fantastic news, can't wait. I'm your biggest fan
So, I tried it today, and for me, something that helped me a lot was an exercise where I put my racket in the pad's racket case, then made a few swings, and when I tried without the case, my movements were much faster, which gave me much more effect.
Haha I did it today thanks to you!
Complete agree that you should focus more on the basics and stop trying to get hard hits until you reach some consistency. I usually play at a good level and as you say I am not winning more than 10 points from my kick smash, but vibora is always important to get spicy with the volleys and ensuring the net position.
About the final words of wisdom. More than anything, the x3 is an intimidation shot that forces opponents to rethink their lobs. Even if you hit 1 or 2 in the match, just the fact that you can is a power move - suddenly people start moving forward sooner or are trying to go out of the court plus don't play as many lobs as before. It breaks their rhythm and can give you the edge. Plus now the fake smash can also be played to win an easy and safe point.
To answer your last question: yes, yes I do 😊
Fantastic video, motivations for trying and practicing the exercises, but the pearl of wisdom at the end is the most precious tip I’ll bring with me on the court
great Video guys, I was struggling with the setup for smash my brush was good my wrist is good but the setup was hold me down and to know how to do it I thinkI get it now THX❤❤
Great video Gabo!!
A fucking month to learn the kick smash? Shit I've just celebrated my anniversary of a year training the kick smash :D And yes I've also been working on groundstrokes, volleys and other overheads so still making progress in other areas :),
I will try it tommorow 💪🏻
So true what you say at the end of the video, thanks god I realized it in time too. Most times I can get away with a fast plain smash, and thats enough threat for the opponents too not to stay too back either. Now I try the x3 sometimes before matches, and I like the excercise too, but i don’t see yet when I will be able to do it right 18-19 out of 20 to do it in matches too. Actually, what percentage do you recommend in selecting the risk of the shots? Select aomething you can do 90%? 95%?
we have super slow courts (sweden) is it better to get it out with power or kick then?
I think kick because it is easier to brush ball for 3 meter than to the net
kick, because flat smashes work even woprse than kick smashes on slow courts. Fake smashes usually work even better though :)
I have been playing to my own grip for 2,5 years. I am doing good, but not as good as i see people around me even with much less time on the court. I discussed with my coach (the best player in my country) and i had difficulty in 3 particular hits, vibora, smash and rulo. the thing is my racket was/is too turned and cannot give the right rotations to the ball, smash to get it out of the court, vibora to stay low after glass etc. The thing is with the grip i have i cannot put this turns, as no matter how i turn my body the racket goes flat to the ball. So i decided to change to continental, in general i cannot play it is so new to me, but when i do the specific hits alone, not in game, it is game changing like magic, everything perfect (to my eyes).
Thank you for your story! Yes indeed you can and should change the grip for spesific shots. You can watch our tutorial of grips also
I laughed so hard with the casual swearing. Pure gold 😂
I love the way you are strict and funny at the same time. Great tip though!
Glad you enjoyed! 💜
Gabo on fire! Like that spicy Gabo!
Oh yeah! 🔥🔥
I really like your style and your clear advice 👌
Thanks for the support! 💜
Subtitulos 😅
if one to stop right after hitting, doesn't it imply one needs to start decelerating even before hitting the ball, which would lead to less spin than with a lengthier movement? or the point here is that even with a shorter movement (which easier to control and quicker to perform) one can have sufficient spin for an effective volley?
If you are able to ”stop” the movement of the racket fast, you keep the pace but create the spin. The ball will have more effect and pace, but less speed (and therefore bounce)
I love your compact playing philophy. Many thanks, again :)
👌🏻🤩🎾🎾🎾So clear and good. Thanks 🙏🏻
Glad you liked it!
İf you suddenly stop your arm doesnt this increase the risk of injury like tennis arm?
I have to disagree! Because what I am sharing with you here is a very clean technique … elbow free pain… and also it will help you to use a TASTY RACQUET! ❤
Seriously? 😅 the better/more correct techninique the less risk to the type of injury you're worried about. It's that simple.
It is that simple… same in golf, the more effortless your swing the less back / knee issues. And of course, top quality racquets and golf clubs :))))
No because the force comes from the core , not from the arm . Listen what gabo says 😂
I'M A BELIEVEEEER! Magic Tasty lesson as always. In my beloved PadelArt private court (countless games there 😅)

Did you think about coming to Spain to teach pádel trainers. Do it please
You can come visit us in Cadiz when you feel like it! 🌟
I see the professional Premier Padel players, especially the ladies, play this shot a lot. I never knew what to call it. Thanks both of you 😘
Thank you Mike! 💜
Thanks

Great tactic and good practice 👍🏼 Question! What should we prepare after the drop shot is done successfully but not perfectly, and the opponent can catch the drop shot. We should stand closer to the net or we should stay in 2nd pole and be opposite to that opponent or do something else??
It depends how they get to it, many times it’s difficult to play a lob on a drop shot so to be more aggressive you can get even closer but general rule is to hold your position and do not back up.
@tastyplayhard Noted. I think my problem is because I don't know where the opponents are going to place the ball so I end up kinda back down 🤦🏻♀️
Perfectly timed video. I played a game yesterday against two guys who I would say I was slightly stronger in every area apart from this. They were so good at throwing in drop shots that it kept me on my toes (and feeling my lower back) the whole time! 🤣
Good for them! Haha 🌟 Then you have to analyze why they were able to do that so well?
@@tastyplayhard Partially because I was playing too many low hard shots from the back of the court and partly because they force them a lot even when it's not an appropriate shot. I fixed this for the next game though by adding more lobs and changes in speed and it worked out great!
@@fypd88 yeah one of our rules is that you shouldn’t let them volley more than once in a row if you don’t have to. So if you play low by choice, make sure they are moving or you play heavy enough
Awesome content , very helpful. Keep going!❤
💜💜
Can you lose the subtitles please?
Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately you cannot please everyone and many of our followers are not native English speakers, hence the subtitles help them to follow
@@tastyplayhard But the YT auto-generated ones are good in English?
Great tip that this can be used for defence. Becaue when you use it to finish a point, it is only when the opponents have given u an immensely easy ball, so no often (unless you play weak opposition, which is never that much good aside from the ego boost)
Yes, it’s not to finish the point. It’s to open gaps in the defence
Awesome video. Entertainment and lesson in the same package. Thanks.
💜
😂🎉❤
Hey Gabo! 🤩 Love your content! Would it be an idea to make a video about how to Play good shots for your teammate? Like DO’s and Dont? It often happens that someone Play their teammate bad.
Thanks for the idea! 💜💜
You guys are the best… lol on the contest 😂😂😂
Hahaha 💜💜💜 see you soon!!!
No PARTY?
Great video
Thanks for the visit
Good vid 🎾 What about playing straight when “lob on the right”? Easier to defend and lower margin to glass?
Great tips as always! I have a question regarding the lop on the middle/left shoulder, is not better to let the ball to the left player? In general whose ball is this?
It depends but for example, if that lob comes from the forehand of the forehand/deuce player it has pushed the backhand player to cover his down the line so much, that he cannot take it.
In your summary you say keep it simple ...lobs to the middle play to the centre. but at the start you say lobs in the middle play on your forehand so it gives you more options. I'm not sure I follow your logic. & if your forehand middle lob return is to the middle then a solid overhead back hand in the middle is then fine as it's simple and less likely to put you out of place on court on their return.
@@edz2393 there is no such shot as backhand overhead in padel. Do you have to do it as an emergency, you might. Do you get published for it, maybe not at the level you play… so good for you, keep doing that. Everything we teach, we apply ourselves, from beginner level to professionals. So if your opponents cannot do anything after your amazing backhand overhead, keep doing it! 🌟
Thanks for making in English!
Very clear instructions as always! Thanks a lot.. so this covers the 3 possibilities left shoulder , above & right shoulder.. but what i would like to ask is what about the 2 possibilities of the opponent stays back and when he is coming in front.. does it it change the shot selection when stays back & when he comes in front?
@@stefanoscha Yes it does! We actually had it on the video but then it would have been 15min long 😁😁 everything depends always!
@ haha thx for the answer! Maybe another video covering only that.. shot selection for badeja at deuce side when opponent stays or opponent coming :)
Great video.. I also love to play on the "A" side because I'm not a lefty and the angles with the bandeja can be really good from there. Great tips on the video and nice shots to the fence.
Thank you for the support 💜
Great tips, thanks! How about playing parallel to the backhand of the other opponent? Not a good option when the lob is on your left shoulder because then you’re totally out of position but for lobs more to the right side I think it’s a good option that can also bring your partner back into the rally?
It depends on your tactics and position of the opponent. However a straight overhead is much easier to defend hence you should go more cross. But if you are at the level they defend corners, then switching and activating your partner makes sense
Would appreciate more content for lefties please
Can you spesify what content you lefties want to help your game 😁😁 it’s all symmetrical
@tastyplayhard @tastyplayhard Thanks for reply. Love your content. Why should lefties always play on the A side. Especially when the backhand for returning serve might not be as strong as the forehand. Should a lefties and a mighty pair always play Australian formation. What tips are there for Australian? How do you decide who's ball it is down the middle when both have forehands and can play equally well.
@@progressmadeeasier5899hahaha for all those questions it’s better you can see us and you will have better understanding. We just posted a video on lefties this week, watch it. But if understanding was that easy, we wouldnt have a job :)
I would love to come and train with you. What is best way to contact you and pursue this? Nigel
Great video guys!
Thank you for your support! We love sharing the way we understand this amazing game / sport ❤❤❤
