They have high tolerance with him, I think he was treated like a brother more than a bandmate. If Mustaine is the leader of this band it would be different story, he will be fired.

The problem is after their success with the black album, they all started to try. They flowed pre the black album. They got bored and age caught up with them for awhile. They’ve sounded good of late though.

The problem with Lars is that he got lazy. He was a "good" drummer when young, very inspired and energetic, although very sloppy at points. Over time, Lars got lazy and never improved and started declining to the point that you can hear him fall out of tempo on live performances, make mistakes, overdo when he shouldn't, and have an arsenal of 4 drum fills that he repeats on a loop. Such a pity really.
