Hi Ramzi. It's perfectly fine now. Apparently the common problems are camshaft position sensor and clutch master cylinder failing on almost all models around 5000 to 25000km. My advice when you buy it change them to the upgraded models. They are covered under warranty. Regarding the alternator, only some handful of models are having issues with them. Not all. If you need anymore assistance let me know. :)

@@ramziennab no that was in the older Nivas. Old Nivas had 4 speed gearboxes then they put a 5th gear inside the gearbox without redesigning the gearbox so there were problems with it. The solution was to overfill gear oil to compensate for the 5th gear (which was not getting enough oil) the newer models already come with factory 5 speed gearboxes completely redesigned. Nothing to worry about with the Urban:)

Haha glad you enjoyed it. I HIGHLY recommend you get better tires first. I'm using Bfgoodrich KO2 (215/70/R16) it's one of the best all terrain tire on the market now. Secondly, get diff. lockers. Very important (Either air or mechanical) not LSD. A 4x4 is nothing without them. Thirdly, get a lift kit. 2.5" is max for these vehicles. Oh and remove those ugly plastic bumpers and replace them with steel. Trust me you WILL break them when you go offroad 😂 Cheers

Hey. Thanks for your comment :) First of all yes you can replace them from the start but warranty won't cover them unless they actually fail..lol I know. But no need to replace all of them. In my opinion just change the camshaft position sensor. It's like 25$, to avoid that pesky check engine light. And to be on the safe side change the clutch system to an old Niva type will cost like $100 total. (The pedal might get harder but trust me it's bulletproof and you will get used to it) Now regarding the alternator and radiator if you're lucky they might actually not fail because their failure rate is not 100% like the others. So just leave it. What you can do is check your coolant level every 5 days. If it's getting lower then it's time to check the whole system for leaks. Sometimes you will just need to tighten up the pipes and it will solve the problem. As for the alternator, the new Lada has a voltmeter built in the dashboard where you can check the alts. Behavior (just press the dial on the dashboard to go to the different displays) if your voltage drops less than 12.5V when nothing is turned on, then you have a faulty one. Oh and one more thing, avoid the 4 door version. They have other issues. For example the smell of gas/fuel will always be present in the vehicle and we still dunno how to fix that. Overall the 2 door is more nimble, quicker and a lot better offroad. Oh and the AC isn't that good either :p Sorry for my long reply but had to answer your questions. Thanks for the quick reply.i like the 4 door version for it's confort and roominess. As for the gas odor, easy: just drive fast and you'll be ahead of it :) anyway if i change the clutch will it remain covered by warranty? Or no need? And do i do it at the deale's garage? And if i laso put the 135 amp alternator from the start? Also do i get it from the dealer? Oh and if i finally go for it and buy it i'll install front and rear doff locks. And then i'll try to find your club and join you. Thanks again

@@jungleguybest Perfect! No don't do it at the dealer. They are inexperienced, unprofessional and will charge you 10x the amount. Warranty is a joke lol. Since you will have to get an appointment which will be 1 week ahead if you're lucky. And another 1 week at their garage for something that takes literally 1 hour to replace. You don't need their pointless warranty lol. Unless you blow your engine or break your gearbox. Diff. Locks should be the number 1 thing u do :p I have both front and rear. Cheers

Hey, thanks for your comment :) The new Lada has a factory fault with the new master clutch cylinder. It's plastic, hence lighter pedal feel but more likely to break. We had numerous break downs ranging from 15000km to 30000km. (Mine was only at 20000km sharp) A simple solution is to revert it back to old Niva clutch system. It's metal, it's harder to press the pedal, but it's bullet proof. Also the new plastic master cylinders are discontinued. (Valeo brand) Another common problem is the camshaft position sensor failing between 5000km to 10000km (mine failed at 5000km) But nothing to worry about, it's a 5min fix and super cheap costs like 20$ Hope this helps, cheers :)

+suhaib hey thanks for the message :) If you're not used to driving a manual specially in traffic, I recommend having another daily driver. I personally love it as a daily driver but my parents don't :p It is very easy to upgrade it yes. From HP to 4 wheel drive system to suspension etc... that's why I love it so much. I will make a video soon about how it's like to daily drive it. Cheers

Hey man, no it's ok you can ask as much as u want hehe. The chassis quality is very rugged but not the plastic parts. The radiator is still faulty, the joints are fixed. The suspension has improved a lot, including coil springs and independent front springs. But the transfer case noise is still present. Hope that helps :)
