The wealthiest side of the city Used to be more houses .. now resemble more Miami Beach Thanks for showing this
Hello. Is it guess friendly
I believe it was when I visited a few years back. Their rules may have changed since then.
This is not a tourist area. It’s the most affluent neighborhood in Cartagena.
Apartments in Castillo Grande range from $500k - $1M usd.
Cafe del Mar was on my to do list in January, sucks I wont be able to experience it
Is it worth going down to where the skyscrapers are and is it safe?
Of course! You'll feel like you're in Miami Beach. Bocagrande is a very safe area of the city.
Puerto Rico has been part of the USA since 1898 and Américans act like they just discovered Puerto Rico
I used to love Puerto Rico and it does have a special place in my heart but I do not enjoy going there anymore ! The people have lost their charm and it’s soooo many tourist everywhere! I honestly hate when I leave the country and run into nothing but Americans !
Get out of touristy area😂 Go up the mountains! 78 towns to visit.
Puerto Rico is a part of USA, so you never left the country, which is why you keep running into Americans. Maybe if you actually leave the country you will run into less Americans.
@@tomphillips3162 ok Einstein but Puerto Ricans aren’t like stateside Americans it’s a different culture !! Smart ass
Very Very expensive. We went to the other side outside of the town where the beaches were more calmer and less people we got robbed. A bus of men were acting like they were playing soccer went and got into the renta car and stole all of our cameras, money, my coach bag and my exes new iphone. They took all my money and change I had in my wallet but left my ID and credit cards on the front seat. I will never go there agin. It was boring in Jaco. That's more for white boy tourists/surfers. It's a Surf town/beaches.
I'm sorry to hear this. Sounds like it wasn't a joyful vacation. I hope your next travel adventure is a better experience.
❤️
The beach is disappearing
Very true
Beach erosion is very bad around the whole island
If I only have 7 days in Columbus and I fly into Medellin should I bother to fly to cartegena for two days or just stay in Medellin and really get to experience there. I’ll be part time with a friend but if I stay behind in Medellin then I’ll be solo for a couple of days
Cartagena is def worth visiting, even for a short stay. Taking a break from the Inland side of the country and going to the coast can be a nice experience.
Does the train price include the statue or is there additional fee once up?
There's no extra cost once you arrive at the redeemer.
@ great, thanks for the answer 👍
Thank you for the info about Cafe del Mar. I would have been very confused at not seeing it since it's so famous. Head to Cartagena in less than a week!
Just curious, how much are they asking for massages on the beach now?
Honestly, the massage ladies make up their own prices. Most try to charge you at least 150.000 - 200.000 Pesos - ($35 - $45 USD)
I'm heading out tomorrow and was worried about the rain but it looks like you can duck into a bar during downpours which is great.
Yea, you'll be fine. Rainy season is coming to an end in Cartagena.
Great review. My wife and I are going there next week. I agree that there are a lot of videos that I have seen about San Jose that make out that it is dangerous but it does not seem so from your honest review. Thank you. New subscriber from UK.
🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴
CTG !!!!
Can you use credit cards at the restaurants out there?
Yes, there's many places that accept credit cards.
Yes, they charge an extra fee
Very live and colorful city, from what I observed in the video. Great content!
Nice
This video has me hyped for more!!! LFG
😄😄 In due time, good sir, in due time!
I like pupusas 100 %
I feel your rain we had some heavy stuff recently here in Virginia & the Carolinas
September is low season in Jaco. Go in December , January , February . It never rains in these months. There`s lots of restaurants bars and shopping in Jaco. At the south end in Jaco is the Mira Mountain. It`s a great hike up that mountain to a ruin with great views of Jaco beach. The Sunrise Breakfast restaurant is a great place to have breakfast. Another fun place to see is Jaco Walk with lots of restaurants and bars. Manuel Antonio park a great place to visit to see monkey's sloths and lots of birds not to mention Manuel Antonio has a beautiful white sand beach . I love Jaco been there many times over the years and hopefully will be going back this Winter .
Damn bro is really goin everywhere
Jaco has been popular for over two decades look how develop it is you think that has happened in 10 5 years NO, backpacker surfers travelers have been coming here for decades if this place is new to you is because you are some youtuber who has barely starting traveling so you are not the right person to be saying is it worth it or not, when you have such little travel experience....
Thank you very much for your feedback.
I was in the fence about going there because it’s so expensive and the beach is trash and you convinced me not to go.
Yea, you ain't missing much out there.
My man
Those people deserve peace ✌🏽 law and order. They’ve been through hell with the gangs, guns, violence and murder. Nayib Bukele worked a miracle👆🏽🙏🏽
Felt safest of all Cities I visited over last 6 years.
🇸🇻 ❤
FINALLY! JTTT has come .... Home! 🇸🇻
Best Boston pupusas are in East Somerville man come on
Ya think so, Miguel? I think I'll need to take a trip to East Somerville, Massachusetts.
Doesn’t look that good to be honest and a lot of people saying it’s overpriced
Very true, it's most certainly a pricey place to visit.
Nice video guys
Looks like I got the first view. I was there a few weeks ago for two weeks. San Salvador, El Tunco, El Zonte, Carro Verde, and lake Coatepeque. Excellent trip. We had such a good time that we are going back in October. This time taking the luxury bus Pulmantur up to Guatemala City. Good video. El Salvador is amazing.
Honestly i think you speak well and will check out new material but jaco beach isnt known for beaches its known for night life this destination is popular for passport bros stay blessed
The rainy season in Costa Rica begins in May and ends in November.
Had a feeling I received inaccurate weather information 😆. Thank you very much!
Hi Jon how can I get touch with you bro thanks bro for you videos is help me out a lot to plan for my travels there
Thank you very much! You can contact me on IG @jon.thetourist.torres
I enjoy these vids man. Feels like in there
Thank you very much! That's the ultimate goal, to make the viewer feel like they're in that place.
Very nice video of my lovely Costa Rica!!! Pura Vida!!!
👍🏿👍🏿
Is Androgeno/Delirium nightclub in Cartagena safe and fun to enjoy? 💃🏾🕺🏾🎶
For sure, there are plenty of tourists and wild women who go there. Just don't wander off into the neighborhood where it's located 😅.
@@jon.thetourist.torres Btw, is it easy to get an UBER when you're leaving the nightclub around 3 AM to go back to the Clock Tower area?
Uber tends to be somewhat scarce during those hours, but it is not impossible to find one.
Goin to Costa Rica right now from El Salvador and this video is clutch my boy
I went to Salvi after Costa Rica last week 😆. What a wonderful country. Thank you very much for the feedback. Enjoy CR 🇨🇷
@@jon.thetourist.torres tbh I think CR is overhyped I think El Salvador has better beaches and cheaper and overall more to do and less gentrified
Wait, did I miss where you said how to get to the train station at the beginning? How do you get to the train station?
Yes, I mentioned it in text form at the opening of the video. You'll need to take a taxi/uber $4 USD
Like your videos of Costa Rica
How was the nightlife there?
It was alright from what I saw. San Jose isn't too much of a party city.
You need to go to "Barrio La California" if u want nightlife
That's expensive, for central America!
@@omegawynter Very true. It's super expensive in Costa Rica. I don't think I'll be returning any time soon 😅
@jonthetouristtorres1990 thanx for keeping it real, though! That's the information that we all need to know as travelers.
@@omegawynter No problem. Truth gotta be told😄
Love the 'bouncing around' vids man
Thank you very much!
