Platform 3 just ticks all the boxes for me, especially in a morning, which is when I often visit. Platform 2 is occasionally used by EMR trains to/from Lincoln, and as a headshunt for releasing locos that have stabled in the old carriage sidings. All terminating services from the south approach from the Down side, even the ones from Lincoln, so using Platform 2 would cause a conflicting move across the fast lines, I assume that's why they try not to use it.

I often think that we look at locations in other parts of the country and think how great they are, and forget to appreciate the ones we have close by, I know I'm guilty of that...

@@uktrainsonyoutube it’s the same down here to be honest, I forget how lucky I am to have London so close and all the variety that brings and also having a heritage line in my home town - it’s easy to forget how lucky I am to see steam trains as much as I do.
