Fix Your Forward Posture (COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH)
This video will go over a comprehensive approach to addressing forward head posture. This condition is ultimately called upper cross syndrome and the treatment for this is in this video. The main principle here is to stretch the muscles that are tight and strengthen the muscles that are weak to help restore balance to your head and shoulder complex. Enjoy!

Unlock This Muscle To Improve Overhead Mobility
Просмотров 875 месяцев назад
Tight shoulders can limit overhead mobility. The latissimus dorsi is a muscle that inserts onto the shoulder and originates from the back. It is a powerful muscle but it can also get tight. If this muscle gets tight, then it will limit your ability to reach overhead. This can prevent you from doing overhead presses, overhead snatches, and create pain and dysfunction in the shoulder. This video ...

Lovely video. Very useful. Thank you for posting.
I am 20 days out after Left TKR. Great to see different ways to increase my bending. It hurts just watching these videos, but I know how good they are for the knee range. Thank you for these.
Thank you! Will do those exercises!
Thank you for guidance Mr have this problem right now..
Oh this one soothes me a little bit because the physiotherapist at my hospital just forced me to do full bend (i am 1 month post MPFL op) and i kinda am in trauma right now :( i’m gonna the steps for sure! Thank you! 👍🏼
Sir,i my thigh bone is broken,LSR is being apply on my knee ..will be ok to band my knee and thigh because my bone is not full join..
You are absolutely brilliant ❤
Thank you sir 🙏🙏🙏
I had a vertical patella fracture. No surgery needed but I wore a leg brace for 6 weeks. Had it removed yesterday and now I can only bend the knee 70 percent. I like your video but want to ask you how often I should do the exercises? How often and how many repetitions per session? And how quickly should I expect to feel a difference?
I had a femur fracture and went for the first surgery march and another surgery July with plate and screws. It's 6 weeks since the second surgery but my knee bend only 90° very stiff will i be able to achieve 140° soon?
Hard to say, but does your other knee bend to 140? If not, then that may not happen. 6 weeks from surgery is still pretty early and achieving 140 deg of flexion with 2 surgeries in a few months may require more time for the knee to recover
Thank you so much!! MVA in 1988 fx femur and 2014 torn gastroc and m meniscus cleaned out. Could not finish tx and I cant straighten L knee or bend it. 😢
Sorry to hear. Check this video out to help improve flexion and extension and see if it helps you out. Please do the exercises as you can tolerate. ruclips.net/video/GuSSNNDm_vI/видео.html
Very good exercises
I am 5 months out from Tibial plateau fracture surgery, I have not regained my ROM completely. Unfortunately I was immobilized for 7 weeks and not given any rom exercises to do, I didn't start that until week 7. I'm at 120 flexion and 6 deg extension. My normal is 148 and -5. Although I'm told my numbers are functional, my goal is too be more than functional because I'm an athlete. PT has told me it's too late to improve and won't work on it any more. I find this very disappointing and disagree with them, I don't think it's too late. I'm doing all of these exercises but don't know if I'm improving because I have no one to measure it. I still have alot of pain in the back of my knee, don't know what's causing that. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank You
Hard to say what the pain on the back of the knee is without looking at it. Could be muscle, hardware, ligaments, bone, etc. The Tibial plateau fractures typically take a while. 5 months is a good place to continue moving forward. the 6 deg of extension can create issues down the line since your injured knee is now technically shorter. These surgeries typically take a year. At least that is what the orthopedic surgeons are telling my patients. The limited flexion will prevent you from doing any deep squats. I have a video on improve knee flexion and extension. Check it out and see if it gives you anymore ideas to progress. Since I didn't evaluate you, please proceed with caution and just stop if you cannot tolerate it.

@@derekxie5353 Lack of flexion keeps me from doing yoga poses as well. I'm more concerned about extension at this point. Also, having 1 leg shorter is messing with my alignment, 1 hip is now higher than the other. Are you familiar with the JAS device? I was considering renting one but have been doing supine hang for 30 min 3x/day which I figure is the same? Wish you were in Ohio so I could have an eval. I think I would need to see a PT in a bigger city to get a good eval. Will try suggestions from video. Thanks
What kind of strap is this and where can I get one?
Stretch out strap by OPTP
Had a patella frature surgery orif 14.07.2024 am 6weeks gone please what exercises can i do sir
Good video thanks for advice.
This is perfect 👌, been waiting for this. Thank you sir
Great vid, thanks!! 😊😊😊
Thanks a lot sir! Been worrying these days😔still struggling to bend after my PCL surgery..week 7 now with just 75°😭
That surgery takes a while. Don't lose hope! Keep up with your exercises!
I have a partially torn PCL and was told there is nothing they can do about it. What did they do with your surgery to repair the PCL?
Sir it's been a whole year after my leg fracture but it's not improving any advice
Hard for me to figure out what is going on over the internet. Best to check it out with a PT or your orthopedic doc. Sometimes, these injuries take more than a year. Sorry to hear
Is it true that if you don’t get full flexion you can’t return to the gym ?
That depends on what you are trying to do in the gym. Anything that requires bending will be difficult such as squats and lunges.
When we need to do the exercises I just surgery for 2 months
That depends on the surgery, ask your surgeon when you can start, but 2 months is long enough to start something though.
Спасибо, отличные упражнения👍

Dearest doctor. This is by far the most encouraging video I have found. I get severe pain behind my knee when I try to bend it. I am hoping by doing these exercises i will inshallah reach my goal. Thank you again. May God bless you!
Hi
Hi
What is the name of that belt/strap sir
it is called stretch out strap, you can purchase it on amazon. thx!
I think I need to build up to being down on my knees. It's quite uncomfortable to do child's pose and any kneeling exercises. However, great video!
Up with the good, down with the bad :-).
Thank you, these are so helpful ❤
I´d like to say that your tips have been very helpful to me. I underwent ACL and meniscus surgery (suture), and I only started physiotherapy after a month, so I took a long time to start, and it's been very difficult to progress in knee flexion..... from Brazil thank you !!!
Great video and this is actually the video I'm looking for since I had post op patella fracture. Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Thank you Sir Excellent
Great exercises and good explanations on how to do the exercise 🤩
Thanks so much!
i have acl surgery its been 10months past but i cannot fully bend my knee it is normal?
It depends on what you mean by fully bending and how it compares to the other side. However, you should have full range of motion by 10 months. I usually achieve full range within 10-12 weeks. Hard to say without a history.
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Hello how you doing sir I’m having trouble bending my knee I could only go 90° I go to therapy 3 week workout everyday I had a limb while walking but it’s getting better however the bending I feel like is very stiff and hard what could I do to help what can help me get rid of the tissues or whatever is causing the stiffness or should I do more stretching this is 6 weeks post Acl surgery please respond thank you 🙏
Greeting just had a quick question I could only bend my knee 90° 6 weeks post op ACL SURGERY I don’t know why it’s very hard for me to past 90° I can’t do the prone bending I try but it’s painful why is that
I am almost 5mos post op and my knee flexion is only 90° Is it still possible to achieve 110-120° in the coming months by doing these exercises without manipulation? Swelling has prevented me from doing the early exercises needed for bending.
Its not impossible, but it is harder to achieve the longer you are out from surgery. Flexion, however can take a year. Progression tends to be slower after surgery. Also depends on the type of surgery as well.
@@derekxie5353Thank you so much! I am working on strengthening and stretching my quads and hamstrings. Hopefully, I'd improve and gain additional ROM. Am doing deep massages too. Mental support is important too so thank you for giving me hope.😊
How is it now? Can you bend up to 120°?
Thank you so much for your advice. Am 7 months and 2 months post op but still don’t have the bending degree that I want. Anyway my knees were very bad before the surgery, the 7 months now is 109 degrees and the 2 months is 113 degrees what exercises do I need. Thank you
If you had a complicated knee before surgery, it will likely be difficult to rehab to 100%. I would say depending on your age, your activity level, how healthy the joint is before, and your overall medical history, getting to 100 deg is pretty good. I also don't know what surgery was performed so that is hard to say, but these exercises in the video would also help you with bending
@@derekxie5353 Thank you so much for your response am now 115 and 110 but still have pain in both knees. Trying my best to get rid of the thigh pain but is not helping, I feel thigh pain after therapy and exercise at home or walking. I can not walk much anyway what do I do. Thank you
Thanks. 9 weeks now 3 screws tibial plateau fracture. Athlete 67 years old.
Wish you the best of luck!
Thank you so much
welcome!
THANK YOU!!
How can you get the stiffness out, like it’s a band across your knee
I had a tibia plateau fracture I had surgery August 16 2023 my knee is soooo stiff I can bend to 90degrees can you give me any advice on how to help me please I cry everyday this is very emotional thank you in advance
Is it alright now?
@@mariecurie9933 hi actually it way better I can sit Indian style now with no problem and I can jog a little more sometimes lol,it’s get a little stiff but I try my best to stay active on it as much as o can my surgeon still won’t release me to go back to work yet so that’s a bummer
I got hit by a car while skateboarding on 4/9/24 and shattered the plateau of my tibia and had 4 surgeries ending with bone graphing 3 plates and 13 screws. Having my knee at a 90°angle while sitting in car or dinner table is fine but my orthopedic wants me to bend knee at 120° angle and everything past 90° causes SO MUCH PAIN!!! and anxiety that I won't get it any further past 90°
@@mariecurie9933 it’s way better than it was I can bend it a lil more I’m just now able to sit in the bathtub on my own ,but when I do walk to much it swells badly
I’m not alone I guess. Mine can bend down 15 degrees only.
Excellent Derek. Can i do these after a patella break? Im now 6 weeks post surgery. Do you have another video that would help?
What surgery did you have if you don't mind me asking? Some orthopedic surgeons have protocols on their rehab program. Most of these exercises are fairly introductory for surgery with the exception of the last one. I usually tell my folks to perform them to your pain tolerance. More is not better especially if it hurts enough to stop and it can irritate the tissues resulting in a set back.
Thankyou for your work
my pleasure!
Very helpful! Thank you
Hai doctor I am from India my knee cap facture operation 2 screw inside the knee cap how many day my knee bending please reply sir I am poor family
Hello everyone is different just keep being vigilant about doing all exercises given makes worse if you don't exercise. After exercise elevate your leg as high as comfortably can & wrap in cloth frozen peas kept just for yoyr use after finish few weeks time or so can throw out so buy cheapest variety. Use pillows back of chair to elevate. Movement most important but so is rest. Good luck in your recovery.
