Brady Likes Bikes
Добавлен 17 июн 2012
What can I say, I like bikes. All bikes. Mountain bike, road, cross, fat, fixie, commuter, you name it. I got my first mountain bike in 1995, and haven't looked back since (other than to watch for cars). My wife has also gotten the cycling bug, which is great. Having someone to bike with is wonderful, and being able to hop into the shower with them afterwards is even better. Saves on water.

Phillips Flurry 2025
Просмотров 16День назад
The 2025 edition of the Phillips Flurry was AMAZING! We had a great number of participants, the weather couldn't have been nicer (hint, we got some flurries during the race), and everyone had a great time! This should be the last year with the tent as well, as next year we should have a wonderful new building in it's location to serve as a chalet for the public to enjoy year round! A big thank ...

Perfect Fall Ride At The Minocqua Zip Line Trails
Просмотров 73Месяц назад
The Minocqua Zip Line Trails may not have the most miles, but they're perfect for a quick after work ride! And their layout is fantastic for doing multiple laps, especially on the back end trails like Ready, Aim, Fire, and Double Barrel. In the summer it's not uncommon to have someone riding a zip line over you too, as you cruise down the trail. #bike #mtb #wiscobikelife #bikelife #biketrails #...
HoverAir X1 Pro Fatbiking In The Snow
Просмотров 96Месяц назад
One of the upgrades with the HoverAir X1 Pro is it's ability to fly and navigate in snow, or so they claimed. We finally got a little bit of the white stuff where I live so I took my drone out for a little test flight on my backyard bike trail to see how it works, and from this short experiment it did great for what I primarily use it for, cycling! #drone #dronevideo #hoverair #hoverairx1pro #b...

Seeley Pass, OO Trailhead to Janet Road
I'm having trouble with the strap. It fell off and now everytime i try looping it through it never gets tight enough around my seat post
Send me your email address and I’ll see if I can help you out.
Thanks!!
Was it a grainy video or just crappy internet for me??
It’s a little grainy, I put this one together entirely on my phone instead of downloading the footage to my computer and using my normal editing software. Trying something different and seeing how it works.
@@BradyLikesBikes makes sense!
Just what I needed to see to know the Domane will go off road as much as I have in mind. Thx for the video!
Thanks for the feedback! I’ll admit, we’ve taken our Domanes on some rides that have probably voided their warranty a couple times over. I got to live in northern NM for a good chunk of a summer a while back and some of the rides I did there on National Forest “roads” really had me questioning my decisions in life, but my bike came out unscathed.
@ what’s the biggest knobby tire you think you can fit? Sounds like you go much harder than I plan to so whatever is working for you will definitely suit my needs. Thx again for your feedback!
@@hawker604 we use Rene Herse Barlow Pass slick tires 99% of the time! They work incredibly well! I was skeptical when my local shop recommended these over anything else and I have to say they’ve never let us down. They’re a 700x38 and I wouldn’t go any wider than that for this frame.
@@BradyLikesBikes reading about those RH slicks makes me want to hurry up and wear out my 38 Gravel Kings. Sounds like these can be my road slicks and light duty gravel tires. Tell the wife I’m actually saving money :) Thx again!
Agree on the sticker.
Right! Like come on, just dropped $100 on stuff and you can’t toss in a sticker that cost 10 cents to make.
Oh nice biking in the snow land
No thanks,
It wasn’t too bad, had about 8-10 inches of ice. And if you fall through no worries, fat bikes float!
Gorgeous! Late September?
Close! First week of October. It was AMAZING! 3rd time at Cuyuna and we have to say this has been our favorite!
you're on a roll with these uploads. this place looks cool. i wanted to stop there after camp but time was short. hopefully next year
Thanks! I probably got a couple months worth of videos to be released weekly on my hard drive. I like shooting videos/riding more than I like editing so many of them sit there…. For example, I shot this one last year! We got two spare bedrooms and a backyard fire pit so you’re welcome to crash here and extend your riding exploration next time you’re up nort’. We’re in the dead middle between WinMan and CAMBA.
Cool! Now someone tell the company to put some more beacons in stock. Its always out of stock.
Also, property looks awesome!
Thanks! This drone doesn’t have forward facing collision detection so it struggles sometimes on tight singletrack. But shit, it flies itself! You just tell it to follow you, and it does!
Not badddd. The tree strike right off the bat had me worried. Looks good though. I want one!
Great review, thank you! We got these bags for Christmas this year and are looking forward to taking them on our trail hikes.
Thanks, Im sure you’ll enjoy them! After using mine for a while I have to say that the cell phone pocket is AMAZING. It’s really intuitive and easy to access.
@ I am definitely going to try that pocket out for mine! What are your thoughts on freezing water in the reservoir the night before to keep the water cold. How often should it be cleaned out?
@@carolyn_sI don’t know if I would put the bladder in the freezer, expanding water and all. However, with its wide mouth it’s easy to add ice and I frequently fill mine up this way before adding water in the summer. I always give mine a good cleaning in the summer, and then maybe once halfway through summer if the water starts tasting funny. I use the little baby bottle cleaning tabs, they’re cheap and work great!
@ thanks for the tips! We got the cleaning tabs and brushes too.
Definitely saw some shot fly through the roof.
great review, thanks
Wow!! All rounder. Im confused between checkpoint ALR5 and domane Al 4 gen4 on what to buy?
If you can, test ride both and go from there.
@BradyLikesBikes Thank you so much for the video! A question when you say pop out the plate. Do you basically cut the plate area completely from the shoe and add in the adapter?
You know, I can’t remember for certain. I’m looking at my shoes right now and under the insole there’s a thin plastic layer, with a door of sorts over the cleats, where the adapter goes. I want to say it was pre cut, but I believe I had to touch it up a bit with a razor blade to get it to pop open.
So you put in the adapter from the inside of the shoe, then put your insoles back in, put your cleats on the adapter, and go ride your bike!
@@BradyLikesBikes Thank you so much :)
does the beacon make a big difference?
Not so much Ive been finding. It is nice though for being able to see what the drone is seeing, and HoverAir has some information on the website that makes a good case for getting it.
cute
Every year it gets better as the collection of decorations grows! It’s so much fun.
App name
GPS Ally+
Very very very high quality. Excellent price point. Not much different to my Ale or Mumu kits which are way higher in price. I went for the short bib version and fit and rode perfectly. Will order more !
I agree! Overall I would say they’re perfect, especially for their price point.
😂
cant wait to ride the whole thing next year. rode what was open at camp. thought it was interesting
It’s good! More mellow than Red Trail, but similar feel, but longer. I was expecting something like the old jump trail and return for length, but it just kept going and going and going. 10/10 recommend.
I bought the same but PROMAX Combo for $899 was on Indjo website the first day 26th an also added it extra battery to cycle combo came out around $1000, gonna get deliver tomorrow , cant wait
I like bikes too! lol
They’re the best!
Nice tracking and trail, Looks like skies are completely blown out 😀 Was that clip taken with auto WB ? any exposure settings ?
The drone is at 4k 30 fps, H264, which is what it came set to. I haven’t tried playing with any of the camera settings yet. The GoPro is set to 1080 30 fps, protune on, -1 EV comp, white balance of 5000k, ISO min 1000, ISO max 3200, sharpness medium, color is flat. I'll admit these settings confuse me so all I did was find another mtb RUclipsr that had a video on how they set up their GoPro camera and followed what they did. I also don't use color adjustment stuff in DaVinci Resolve as that's way out of my skill set.
@@BradyLikesBikes The GO pro seems fine , but the X1 sky in between the trees is completely blown - see the weird color...
Hey. Cool footage. What was the top speed on this run?
About 12 mph, so nothing too fast. I’ve been wanting to test the speed of it with my road bike, but it’s been rainy and cold every day since I went mountain biking.
Wow that is really impressive! Would you say the beacon is worth it?
It definitely did better following someone with the beacon than without. I’ll probably pick up some joysticks and see how well it works with those, with someone flying it.
@@BradyLikesBikes thank you for your reply. that is great to know that the beacon is really an additional help in increasing the follow capabilities. did u make a test up to what speed the drone can track you?
We got up to about 12 mph with it following us successfully. Tried going faster on some other trails but it was struggling a little bit with the tight vegetation. If I accelerated too quickly, like sprinting to hit a jump or a drop, it had a little trouble going from chill ride to warp speed, but if I ramped up my speed gradually it did better. I was hoping to play with it some more over the weekend with my road bike, but it was raining and in the 40s. I’m going mountain biking on Wednesday after work so I’ll try some more shots with it then. Hopefully I can figure out audio with the beacon too!
Cool place looks like a nice place to ride 😎
WinMan is a really fun trail system. They have trails for all riding abilities, and lots of the mellow trails have little bonus side lines where you can work on improving your skills before committing to a harder trail. It’s also great for experienced riders looking to ride with kids or someone that’s new to mtb’ing.

Disconnects! That's trouble.
What computer are you using?
LOL!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂

Yeww 🤘🔥
Now fix the roof.
Nah, it’s now a skylight. We’re actually tearing down this half of the building and rebuilding it. Figured why not have some fun while doing some demo work.
How many did you kill
All of them. They were actually pretty stunned already from my wife hitting them with hornet spray while my nephew threw rocks at the nest.
On the last shot, it looked like he shot through the roof. Lol
It did! Were tearing that part of the building off and redoing it. Figured might as well take advantage of the opportunity to shoot something in a way that would normally get me in trouble when I have the chance.
Dragons breath would've been more effective
Don’t want to burn the whole cabin down, but it definitely would have been effective!
I would fly through that hill on max gear lmao
So glad you came out! Can't wait until next year!
It was a blast! Thank you for putting it together!
Seat it before you put the sealant in.
I cannot get the gasket seated correctly. Trek FX6.
Is it going in tight? If so you can try to lubricate it with a little rubbing alcohol. Helps with rubber parts and evaporates away.

I was right nearby you at the start, next year if/when I see you I will say hello! Thanks for posting
Sweet! I definitely plan on being out next year as long as our team gets in! RW24 is one of the highlights of our summer. Maybe I’ll see you at Santa Rampage too.
Buyer be ware. These shorts use a very large thick chamois pad. If you are size XL-XXXL they may be ok. Pad for Medium size short doesn't sit right for the sit bones. Strong pass for this reason. Material feels good and overall sizing was ok for my 6' 165lb body.
Sorry to hear they didn’t fit you the best.
Bison run? It’s spicier when the rocks are wet!
Yup! That trail is really fun.
Brakes!!
@@ManmadeM0nster my wife always gets nervous when I ride out to this vista.
Plastic zip lock?? This is weird 😂
Ziplock bags are bigger and more expensive, but they can be used multiple times. You can use a condom a second time too though. Just got to turn it inside out and shake the f*ck out of it. Joking aside, this video is for entertainment purposes only, but I did put a condom in my internal frame storage bag as a last ditch CYA.
Awwww
He’s been doing this every morning now for about a month. If I don’t “wake up” he’ll curl into a little ball of cat and snuggle for about an hour or so before trying to wake me up again.
@@BradyLikesBikes that’s so adorable
He’s usually purring when he wakes me up too. He’s just so excited that I’m waking up and will be giving him some pers and chin scratches.
