"regular wear and tear". IMO this just makes all hot swappable keyboards terrible. I find you will lose contact every few month if you type a lot (say, you use the keyboard all day at work and actually type a lot of text, like, you know, like me). I had to fix this about 10 times in a year and a half and the issue isnt even so much that you have to remove the switch and put it back in, it's that it will start failing just a little bit, e.g. register the key twice, or not register it and you can't tell for sure until the contact fails often. It doesn't matter if it's Cherry, Glorious, Kailh, you name it, they all will eventually do this, I tried them all. This makes the whole keyboard feel unreliable, and at the prices these go for, IMO, this makes hotswap not worth it at all (unless you barely use your computer and buy these for fashion purposes or something). Basically until a better interface exists (which probably requires special switches with thicker contacts), soldered keyboards are superior.

Same shit but factory lubed - big selling point but a lazy one like me. Also the light purple tint for shinethrough is nice.

The different tooling is for the different material. Nylon and Polycarbonate have much different shrink rates. If you made a polycarbonate housing on a mold made for Nylon, the part would be 1-2% larger which would mess up everything
