Overgrown Garden Railway. How to deal with weed, ballast and cleaning.
Просмотров 10 тыс.9 лет назад
This video is to show how I deal with my Garden Railway that has been taken over by nature. The weed problem here is extreem. In this video I clean up the weed, ballast the track so it stays in place, clean the tracks and the tunnel. Watch as my train overcomes the surprises of Mother Nature. Please ask questions in the comments, if you have any. I am happy to share some of my experience. Thank...

My USA Trains Union Pacific GP7 and GP9 making their first spring run after the snow melted here in Norway. This is March 2014. The line you see here is a siding under construction. It will continue a few feet more until it ends at a coal plant. I placed my phone loosely on the front of the engine, so sorry about some skaking. Thanks for watching.

How about putting the ballast in the cement tin with cement, shaking it up and coating all of the ballast and then spreading the ballast rather than just the top layer, that way all the ballast is secure

Everything operates so smoothly. I don’t know how to describe it…. There is a “solidity” to everything (the tiny gates don’t flap around when they open/close; tram didn’t bounce around; trains have that nice “thump” that sounds so much better than the click-click of lightweight trains). Idk.

This is the most incredible layout I’ve ever seen! I absolutely love it. This is how I want mine to look when I hit the lotto.

Dear friends! I want to tell our story about the creation of a unique exposition - a railway maquette - Europe in miiature: ruclips.net/video/ktxLdEKV6nk/видео.html I've been to all the major models (Hamburg, Chicago, St Petersburg) and, of course, was inspired by their success and spectacle. My wife and I are ordinary people, and we earn 1000-1500 dollars, like all immigrants. However, we were able to build a quite high-quality model with our own savings. 7 years ago my wife and son and I went to live in Latvia and opened a private museum there. He successfully worked there for 2 years, after which we moved to Spain. If you saw the reaction of visitors! It's indescribable. such a sincere joy of children, smiles of adults! good mood for any person, of any age! However, we did not get any commercial benefit from the functioning of the exposition, since the cost of renting the premises was monstrous and neutralized all the profits, and the number of tourists in Riga is not so great. But in any case, I am sure that our exposition will be appropriate in any European city, and will become a tourist attraction and entertainment center for the whole family. I concluded that for successful work we need to find a partner with our own premises of 150-200 meters, with whom we can cooperate on a long-term basis. After all, a shop or a casino for the city is not as valuable as the magical world of miniatures and amazing experiences. and the profit from working together on a 50/50 basis will be significantly higher than any requested rent. We have all the equipment, the exposition is completely ready for installation. We just need a little help! Friends - if someone has a desire to do something good for their city, or there are such acquaintances - please write to us! +34 659662530 diatlenco@yahoo.com

Thanks for posting, I use your advice but with much more cement powdering and it works well, you still have to maintain the track on a regular basis, one day I will go all cement foundation. Thanks for posting. Very Helpful

I love the overgrown look. What does your ballast job look like after a period of time? I suspect you've redone it a few times by now. Did you ever clear out the other spur near the tunnel? Doesn't look like you can get a train down that track. Given the work I'm interested if you are still maintaining the garden railroad.
