First of, they are not necessarily stronger. Stronger would mean they have physically more strength than him, which is not true. If you meant more powerful even that is kind of debate-able. Also this list is kind of silly, because the Spectre is not someone you should add to a list like this. He is merely a vessel, the vengeance of the Source/the Presence, he is not really a hero. You might as wel have added Lucifer while you're at it. He would destroy all of those listed without trying. Also, is this in order? Because that order is super whack to say the least. There are also some points of contention on the things you said about Superman being weak to magic. He isn't actually weak to magic, he is merely not immune to it in most of his iterations. There have been comics where he takes magic like it is nothing and others where he is extremely weak to it. It is a very inconsistent factor to say the least and is not really similar to Kryptonite in that he is actually weak to it. I am by no means a Superman fan, but to downplay some of what he is like this just seems a bit silly. I mean, sure most of these could beat him, depending on what Superman and what version of the character you mentioned. But after the Merger of the previous versions I really doubt most of the ones listed here could take him in a serious one on one. Also, where is Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), He has beaten Superman as wel. I mean, if you wanted to add people who beat him, Hal Jordan should be at least mention as an Honorable Mention instead of adding things like Swamp Thing and The Spectre. :/

Brainiac is my favorite character in DC. Well, one of my favorites along with Batman and them. In my personal opinion, Brainiac should never be defeated. It is hard to believe that someone as smart as Brainiac is, he plans and he calculates things, and he double and triple and quadruple checks everything and more and all of his advancements and contingency plans and different smart and strategic and tactical plays like that, and he comes back and upgrades himself and prepares and he has the experience and data from his last encounter with the heroes and others and he makes himself more powerful and more dangerous with his upgrades and knowledge and experience. It is just hard to believe that he can be defeated. In a way, when I saw this, how Brainiac was just offered immortality by Lobo's people, it made me feel weird at first, because I thought that Brainiac made himself immortal with his intelligence and his technology, using nanites, and creating new bodies for himself to inhabit and other things like that and even if he did become immortal like Lobo he would take the DNA of Lobo's people and enhance himself with it. Just being given immortality felt like it downplayed Brainiac in a way, but that doesn't matter now, it is good how it is.

Your examples don't make them stronger. It means they have the means to beat him. Very different from being stronger. Flash is not really an option and neither is Wonder Woman. Superman holds back on everyone. His upper limit is ridiculous.

You forget, if Wonder Woman is ever chained, she instantly loses all of her powers. & as for the "Martian Manhunter", as Batman once said, "All I need is a simple book of matches to take you down." As for the stuff about Supergirl, it's retconned canon meaning, it wasn't that way before, & it will only be that way, until they retcon it again. Remember, at one-point Supergirl was actually erased from existence in order to make Superman the last son of Krypton, & not by some supervillain, but rather DC making some changes.
