Delicious, but why the white granulated diabetes sugar. Can I substitute with honey or monk fruit?
I guess you could substitute it with honey, though you would need to cook it slightly longer and probably add some natural pectin to thicken it. Never tried monk fruit before, I'll add it on the list of things to try when I find it! If you try using it in this recipe please let me know how it goes, I'm super curious!
What yeast do you use and how long in the oven
I used fresh yeast, but it can be replaced with 1 tsp. of active dry yeast. Bake at 230-260°C (445-500°F) for 15 minutes
