In many ways there is no difference between when I was young and kids today. But 1991 were very different times than today. The world was a much different place and so was skateboarding at that time. Just like I couldnt fully understand the experience guys like Jay Adams and Stacey Peralta were skating in the 70s.

i hate when old bastards talk that bullshit..."kids just wouldnt understand"..I'm almost positive the two 12 year olds that skate my building every morning, who just want to see whos better that day, have a decent understanding of the magic in progression. Its not the year you skated that made it special, it was your age and the people around you. Kids experience that same feeling everyday.

i used to skate, and people would always rip on me because i was a lil fat dude with a chipped up blind deck. now i sont skate, im 300 pounds, and i play guitar in a heavy metal band. i gotta say id much rather be a fat metaller guitar player than a fat douchbag skater that cant skate worth shit and still hates on little dudes with chipped up blind decks.

I really hope some crazy dude blows up WMG building someday. Fucking bastards!!!!
