Mine is constantly on Control mode Fan off, does anyone know how to fix that or turn it back on?
I put mine in diagnostic mode and can’t get it out, any help?
I’m so dumb I still don’t understand, if I want to cool my house what do I do? It’s 30c outside right now, my inside temp is set at 16c (lowest it can go) and my outside temp is set at 20 (highest it can go) and then summer mode is set to ON

You are a very good presenter Rick. Brilliantly and clearly explained. Thank you.
why is the boots airflow mode still on?
there is no normal airflow on mine is there a setting for that
Hi this vent is making me sick the air it brings inside smells like chemicals it is screwing our health. Is there any option to only push bad air from inside to outside instead of getting air from outside in? Please let me know asap
How to turn off this? Bcz I'm facing a noise issue in my apartment.
The boost airflow automatically turns itself on stating boost airflow 47%. How can I turn this off ? I’m concerned about the electricity it consumes while being in that mode. Also, any rough idea how much electricity it actually consumes ?
I'm having the same prob. Were you able to figure out how to turn it off? Thanks
Solarcrest did our install in about 2016. Did a good job and no problems since. Having MVHR is highly recommended.
Hi I've just moved into a new place and it has a sentinel multivent A. It's black with an lcd screen in the top right corner with 3 buttons. There's no instructions on how to set it anywhere. I've looked on the internet with no luck. You wouldn't happen to know how to program it so the low normal and boost settings can be changed to different times? Thanks in advance.
I've just moved into a flat and the system consistently remains on Boost Airflow 70%, despite me changing the normal mode hours from 7am to 10pm. Any ideas how I can get it to move to normal or even low mode to reduce the noise & electricity used?
Hey! I'm stuck on boost as well!! Did you figure out how to get it to normal? Cheers
@Irishrover11 It turns out our unit is configured to go on boost for 12 minutes whenever a bathroom light has been switched on, so in a larger household it always seems to be boosting for us
Since I moved to my brand new apartment I started getting sick with the nasty air coming out from my vent axi built in on my apartment why is that? The filters are clean nothing really happening I am now thinking maybe they installed something wrong of there is impure air connected to the tubes bringing nasty air in, any idea?
It’s bringing nasty toxic air inside my apartment and it’s brand new what that can be?
Wasn't clear on the humidity bit. If the air in your home is quite dry and uncomfortable, what percentage should you put it to?
Relative Humidity is relative to temperatue . Specific humidity of 7-8 grammes per Kilogramme of air which is pretty much 1 Cubic metre of Air, this is optimum.
Useful video. What does defrost mode do. I can't get it off that atm
it will tun off the supply fan or the MVHR until it thinks the heat exchanger is safe, dont mess with this.
@richardmarlow4466 what settings would you recommend for cold winter temps ? From say 0 degrees to 8 ? Should indoor temp be mid 20’s ? And outdoor be quite low setting? And also what would normal supply and low supply be ? Thanks so much , have been trying to find out from manuals for so long
for winter set mvhr to 25 degress indoor, 10 degrees outdoor
@@richardmarlow4466thanks so much , appreciate you getting back to me !
We have an identical machine. Probably the same. We are setting it up. But it's stuck on 2 menus. The time and normal air flow screens. You can manually boost it as well. That's it. Cannot get the other options you have here.
Question to anyone who has one. I got mine instaled yesterday. Do all of them make a noise in the rooms? The 40 precent its minimum and i feel like its bit strong
Great video! We have just moved to a new flat and we had no idea on how to set this up!!! Thanks mate
How do you open the machine to clean the filters?
sometimes the filter access flaps can be stubborn to open, use a butter knife and gently prise them open.
Thanks for the video, how would I ensure maximum coolness during the summer? Please kindly confirm the settings required, I would really appreciate this advice! Thanks 😊
It gets very very hot in the evenings!
This helped me set up my own, thanks
After 10 years of no issues, my vent axia has started to make a lot of noise. We had it serviced 2 months ago and filters changed, but no improvement. How can we get rid of this noise?
check the atmosphere terminals are not clogged up and check if any debris is fouling the impellers.
I cant find this condensing trap. Any part number would help
Hepvo Waste Valve 32mm White Catalog code: BV1 WH
why is there no sound?
Really helpful. Thanks.
Would this unit help reduce temperatures during the summer? What temperature should i set it to?
No, you have a summer mode but its runs very high and does not work 🤷🏻♂️
How to unlock this ? I put 3 digit password and I don't have access now to main menu
Thanks for the video @richard. Any advice on a unit that stays in boost for hrs after the humidity sensors gets set off? It has been working all winter fine since it’s install new. Thanks
What is your humidity set point and overun settings?
My machine seems to be stuck on boost mode 50% and won’t change to normal airflow? Set the overrun to 5 mins like you suggested but still stuck! Initiating boost by clicking the home snowflake button only gives me the option to run a boost 1s. Then after that it’s finished, it returns to boost 50%? Any tips!
I have the same problem. In my case it’s on 65%. Did you manage to sort it?
the switch live cable could be wired to the live cable st the spur, also the humidity setting is too low
I have this in my flat. Still have no idea what it does or how to work it
Hello, how do you do to modify for example all the day at 15% low flow rate ? For the moment the normal flow rate is 30%. This is not well explained in the manual mode. Thanks
Thank you!
How can i see the extract temperature and the provide temperature? Does it have such sensors?
Hi, sorry I'm being a bit thick. During the winter season, what temperatures do I need to set to guarantee enough warmth in the apartment? Would Indoor = 20° and outdoor= 20° work? Thanks I'm new to this and the current temperature is 16° everywhere even with the heating turned on.
Set it to 25 inside and 10 outside
Winter only
I have exactly same moulde now its stuck fan not working on the screen shows CONTROL MODE FAN OFF
Hi Richard. If I was in a hotel room and I wanted to turn the fan noise off, which setting on the control panel could I use? Hypothetically speaking
Initiate control mode 2 which means installing a link across SW5 Then set your low fan speeds to 15%. This will give you manual control of the low user setting. Its important the machine isnt turned off.
Hi Richard, can you give me some details on the heating cooling coil you have installed, is this using the mvhr to move the air? Is it effective? Cheers
veab.com/kategori/duct-heaters-cooler-water?lang=en Effective as the primary heating in good retrofits that have small peak heat loads. In most situations a good suplementary heating option that is super fast also gives the ability to cool. Between 2kw and 4kw capacity depending on air exchange rate and flow temps.
What is the "sweet spot" and why that figure? I can't make head nor tail out of P10 of the manual here: www.vent-axia.com/sites/default/files/439817_ad.pdf
i want to learn this software how can i learn this? can you help me
Have a similarly-sized set up, but different brands - Vaillant ASHP and Zehnder MVHR. Airtightness test was 2% off Passive Haus standard. August electricity bill was £6! 👍
Excellent
how do you turn the vent off?
Hi! I was wondering if you could tell me how loud the machine would be, in the same room as you? Planning on ghetto rigging one which would have the option of in my hallway outside our bedroom or inside our bedroom. We have a 55sqm apartment, so I figure we could get the 350 sentinel advance, and keep it always in low mode (to futureproof for moving in the future). Would it be possible to sleep in the same room as one on low mode? We are used to the sound of an oscillating fan on the lowest setting at the moment
You can fit a cabinet for it (Like a kitchen cabinet) for the smaller Vent axias, then stick sound deadening to the inside of the cabinet and door.
So helpful! Thank you
In the bathroom, there is condensation for a number of hours after a shower, how do I address this with the HRV? The humidity is set at 65%. Any help would be appreciated
It looks like there is a small gap above the control panel. Ours seems to have this too since the engineers refitted the front panel. Is this normal with this unit?
I have the exact same, looks normal
Its normal. The air seals are higher up.
Super helpful guide, navigating through the manual was hard. This video was concise, covered everything in the manual
