personal practice - warm up

this video shows me doing a warm-up before training. the movements are freestyle and / or spontaneous to get in the 'flow' before starting the training. the movement in the torso is due to me trying to get rid of tension in the spine. these movements are not taught, but are my personal little freestyle song-gong.

Yang Jian Chao, son of Yang Zhen He (5th Generation Yang Style), performing the Sword routine of the Yang Style as they teach it in Guangfu, Yongnian. Guangfu, Yongnian is the hometown of Yang Style founder Yang Lu Chan.

Yang Jian Chao is the youngest child of grandmaster Yang Zhen He. When I was at master Yangs house and practiced with him for about a month, I somtimes trained a few hours with Yang Jian Chao. He's a very friendly person. Yang Jun is the grandson of Yang Zhen Duo, so Jian Chao and Jun are certainly related. But there is a fair difference between the Taiji taught by master Yang Zhen He and Yang Zhen Duo, although it's the same family.
Three people didn't like this... Why?
@pribadi8406 Yang Zhen Duo was his second teacher, but there is no family relationship.
That's a $20 wushu toy sword. A real sword won't wobble, no matter how much fajin is behind each strike. As for finding real swords in China, you don't have to, there's plenty of real ones available online. You can ever get blunt ones that will act like a real jian. Of course, they won't balance at the guard like this one. They'll provide a better feedback and better posture. But they all cost at least $200. Hence why none of these guys has one.

Yes swords is generally quite short, but you are right it can seem longer, when I first started swords my arm ached my fingers also! When you are in China look to the parks, they do it outdoors, though I guess not the sword forms, unless rules are less strict in China? Enjoy your trip, safe journey.

A nice performance, with some for Yang style uncharacteristic fajin and a few alternations to Chen Weiming`s routine. But the sword? Another fluppy foil, can`t anyone buy him a desent weapon?
