    How did the food based glue hold up over time? I’ve always been hesitant to use it because I’m worried it will mold or attract insects and/or other small, hungry creatures.

    I was wondering how a mix of Fiberglass and Ballistic nylon would work?

    Even modern ballistics helmets are surprisingly inadequate at stopping most rounds especially highpower rifle. They appear to be priciply for shrapnel and glancing/ricoshaying rnds. Majorly disapointing. Still usefull though.

    there is so many things that are wrong with this video. he is using flip flops while using a dremel the “music” in the “intro” is absolutely awful the audio quality sucks the camera quality is worse than a 2008 youtube video(this video was made in 2015) he is wearing a safari hat he doesnt have a tripod he uses a crossbow instead of a gun or knife, which after it is shot makes a gunshot noise the cuts in the intro are terrible he does not talk despite having full capability of doing so if you are using a power tool while cutting kevlar on the carpet and you have a table with a trashbag wrapped around it, at least use the table trashbags are used to prevent liquids from spilling on the table, not prevent kevlar or mystery dust or whatever is flying in the air, and it isnt even the best way to do so by A LOT a 3 year old can put in about 5x more effort into editing this video than you did this likebotting and comment botting is so blatant a blind child with parkinsons and low functioning autism would be facepalming right now. this translation is garbage. almost as if its MADE IN CHINA!

    Ok he’s using Kevlar. But you just don’t go to the fabric store and buy a whole roll of Kevlar. And if you can find it. It’s not cheap.

    • @vovin8132
      @vovin8132 Год назад

      There are ways to get it. Don't mind the old stuff either. As long as it has been kept on the roll and in a package away from light, it should still be good for decades. They say kevlar armour is only good for so many years but this has more to do with wear and tear, not from the fabric itself magically dissolving.

    You dingus!!! Only love, but you shot yourself in the foot when you mixed the rubber in, making it more of a solid block. This is a great idea, but could be executed better because it is essential that the ceramic pellets are free floating within. Try it again but solidify the rubber containment mold before adding pellets, compare the difference and I'm sure you'll be astonished. Thank you!

    That mask will not protect from fumes, only particulates when sanding and tasks like that. When painting or using resin use a better mask than what is in this video unless you like cancer

    • @armyalooftv7481
      @armyalooftv7481 4 года назад

      scott roberts I don’t think so, you put resin in every layer so the fiber glass/Kevlar separates from the other layer and disperses a lot of energy, it’s made to crumple and bulge.

  • @garybryant7274
    @garybryant7274 5 лет назад

    Shoot it with a 9mm and a .45. If it can resist handgun rounds then I'll be interested in making one. A crossbow is one thing, a handgun is another. Interesting!

    • @kolinmartz
      @kolinmartz 4 года назад

      If you want to get actual results use actual DuPont Aramid (Kevlar®) fiber and layer them at least 45° per layer. It’s pricey though at $55 by the yard.

  • @billypoe3703
    @billypoe3703 5 лет назад

    Ok, even though it is working, you can get better results from layered random direction mesh. In other words, use dense fiberglass mesh with each other layer of mesh placed in a different direction.
