I'm totally with Darren. Halloween 5 is certainly not a good movie, but I'll watch it over Zombie's Halloween 2, Resurrection and probably over Ends anytime.

As a Gen X'r I can't believe I'm still wasting my time with crap like Halloween 5. However, compared to what followed it is a delightful film.

Nightmare 1-4 are the best...1 and 2 were the darker versions and 3 & 4 were what made the entire franchise.. "New Nightmare " was a breath of fresh air but had a lot of missed opportunities.

now I have a craving to watch H5 I will gladly pay $5.99.

Loomis has lost it, Donald's acting and his condition is totally loony and gin-soaked Donald P. is fun to watch. I think Jamie as the new killer is a cool idea.

Someone please explain to me how these guys were able to produce something of this quality? I'm absolutely stunned! Maybe im just naive to what fan films are now but this was insane. But it's not just the quality of the production, the way it's executed, the story and how they bring it all together, is impressive considering this is a short film. I'm a big BC fan and I'm very impressed. These two should be making studio pictures if this is what they can do with a few hundred thousand.

This one is my favorite of the franchise too! My favorite moment, weirdly, is the roof scene. Maybe my fear of heights adds to the tension... I dunno, but that's usually the first thing I think of when I think of this movie.

Another fine episode guys ! Had to watch after the fact as I was working while it was live. Getting back to the use of the word ‘shite’ 😂 I always thought it was more of an Irish thing, although I have heard English folks using the word, Americans not so much. I know Pat from That Horror Movie Podcast uses it at the end of every show when he’s asking folks to ‘hit that like button and all that other shite’ 😂 yes, and speaking of shite - Halloween 5 is indeed shite as is the mask - it’s utter shite ! Love ya guys, cya later in the week over the pond ! Can’t wait ! 🔥🎃🔥

H5 isn’t a good film but I think its awkwardness makes it enjoyable in a weird way. And Pleasence’s over-the-top performance is fun to watch. I always get a kick out of the whole cookie woman sequence and Loomis’s reactions. For me the biggest issue with film is the Thorn tattoo on Michael’s wrist. Since they scrapped the Dr. Death intro, the tattoo suddenly appearing on Michael’s wrist with no explanation is very strange. And the fact that the Man in Black has the same tattoo means that the two of them are linked in some way. If Michael didn’t have the tattoo then it could’ve been explained that the Man in Black was just some crazy guy obsessed with Myers instead of a cult leader. I actually like how H5 ends because it’s so weird and kind of comes out of nowhere. Imagine if the series had ended there and then 30 years later they did a legacy sequel that tried to explain who the Man in Black was. Would’ve been wild if everyone had been wondering for decades who the Man in Black was.

Darren & Frank - My only redeeming qualities of Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers (1989) is drunk Dr. Samuel Loomis, the opening credits and the showdown between Michael and Loomis. As for the rest of the film it’s awareness in my opinion. Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers (1989) should’ve picked up where Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers (1988) left off with Jamie Lloyd becoming evil and not being rushed into production and rehiring the director of Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers (1988) to direct Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers (1989). I would still watch this film but not as often as Rob Zombie’s Halloween II (2009) and Halloween: Ends (2022). Overall this disaster of a movie gets a 3/10. 🎃 🔪 - Byron Scott Weaver

I just watched it. Overall, I thought it was very well done. Some minor nitpicks here or there, but Dave, Bruce and the rest of the team should be proud. I have to ask, though, Darren, what was up with your "Missing Persons" photo? lol

I really like the intro with the aggressive pumpkin carving. And the pitchfork kill is one of the best in the franchise. And i like Tina because no one else does.

Idk why everyone loves Loomis so much. He really doesn't do anything except shoot him and go off on monologues. Also, there are two hospital gowns because you wear one in front and back so you don't get free air conditioning.

Rambo's battle buddy dies from cancer due to Agent orange. A chemical used to kill vegitation and jungle. US government / VA hospitals denied that this caused cancer up to the 1990s early 00s. Its a small point in the movie, but a real issue for vietnam vets.

With detective Mike Hennie seeing Jess Bradford alive along with just some. Acknowledgement to what was found on the drive. But hey overall it's still an incredible legacy piece that I'm proud to have been apart of also.
