    I wish I had seen this video back when I first started with the laser. Your explanation is by far the best I have seen on RUclips after 8 months of watching beginner laser vids. I already had a good handle on it going in, but I have yet to see one that was this well explained. This is a gem that should have far more views than it does. Very well done!

    I have been working with lasers for about 4 years and woodworking for 50 years, your way of explaining kerf was wonderful. Using Lightburn I find that I use an outside kerf compensation and sometimes an inside depending on what I am doing. When ever you use your calipers rather that zero them wipe the jaws off fist you might find that there’s was debris between the jaws. Another way that demonstrates the kerf would be using a magnifying glass and showing the focal point Excellent video! 😀🛫

    Nice explanation. Not sure what software you use, but most allow you to input the Kerf and it figures out the cut for you.

    • @I-LOVE-EARTH
      @I-LOVE-EARTH Год назад

      @@SharonMehl yeah, Glowforge refuses to allow 3rd party software. Lightburn is the industry standard and has this function.

    Are there refill papers for these that can be purchased do you know when they use all the paper so you can re-use the covers?

    • @wildoakdesigns4469
      @wildoakdesigns4469 2 года назад

      I don't think there are refills for these but you could always have them return the used one and pop the covers off and put the covers on a new notebook. Then you can discount that purchase since you won't need to cut new covers and it's really just the cost of the notebook.

      Thank you! The lighter colored one is 1/8" baltic birch and the darker one is 1/8" mahogany. I am going to leave the link active until my training in the TMWAL FB group the week of the 19th. I don't believe you need dropbox to download it. If you try clicking on that link and it doesn't work just give me a shout and I can help you out.
