Product comes with almost no instructions, and there are no good videos online to help you. This video goes way to fast and skips over so many steps.

@@mockins Thank you for your prompt response. The video on the link you provided is NOT for the Mockins rooftop carrier I purchased. You have multiple rooftop carriers that all seem to have a different way to fasten them to the roof. The challenge here is, the only instructions in the box for the "Mockins 35 Cu Ft Waterproof Rooftop Cargo Carrier Bag" I bought -- 1 small sheet of paper -- simply provided instructions for securing with door hooks. There was nothing to explain all the many, many other straps in the box, and since I have a roofrack, I had to figure out how to secure the carrier by trial-and-error. I'm just suggesting you need much better instructions and some specification sheet that tells you what all the different straps and hooks are for. (For the record: The product itself is very durable and of high quality.)

Back in the ‘60s we tent camped in Yellowstone and stored stuff in the the car. We slept soundly but the next morning bear foot tracks all over our big ole station wagon. Maybe they weren’t as smart back then!! Whew!😮

Considering buying this for our Yukon. How high can you stack things and still have the rear lift gate function up and down?
Hi Jefffields8584! The basket dimensions are 60"L x 24"W x 14"H. Could you please share the exact model of your vehicle? That would be very helpful to see if the measurements/dimensions match.
2015 Yukon Denali. I’d like the rear lift gate to still be able to go up and down while using the rack even with a load.
@@jefffields8584 Considering the basket dimensions of 60"L x 24"W x 14"H, it is recommended that you maintain a clearance of greater than 14 inches to allow the lift gate to function properly. This means that the total height of any items stacked in the basket should not exceed this clearance height. Additionally, when installing the hitch or making any modifications, ensure that the distance from the receiver to the basket, as well as the height of the basket itself, are taken into account to maintain sufficient clearance. By following these steps, you should be able to utilize the rack while still being able to open and close the rear lift gate, even with a load.
Anyone ever see that news special on bears stripping cars clean ? One is no longer guaranteed safety within their vehicles anymore !
