Make no mistake, I only stopped uploading these because I became a Conquest tester and that takes most of my Nebulous time nowdays, can't exactly upload those games :) (Also Helldivers 2 consumed my life for a while, but we're back now)

It's something I need to keep track of more, I probably should have rotated. But I'm pretty sure my whole armour was cooked anyway, I ate that bloom in the face.

Honestly I'm not very good at micro either, that's why you see me play battleship, just got one big ship to worry about. I recommend trying out the demo!

If its any condolence, Nebulous is the kinda game that you never stop sucking at. I have 150+ hours and struggle against the AI lol

Same. I have it and dabble but getting into it properly seems more like I need to take a college course more than a tutorial.

Both ANS and OSP factions have options for single ship fleets. The ANS have the battleship, the OSP have the container liner. The formation tool also allows you to set formations in the fleet editor, which you can then issue commands to as a single unit using the shift button. This means you can have a phalanx of four or five ships and they can play almost like one ship.

Yeah Monitors are so tough to get through with 450, that's what the missiles are for though, and I'm also considering switching them out for a beam.

Bb with a beam backpack is neat even if you don't put too much to improve it

Yeah I use max settings, I think the game looks quite nice! Also, part of it is I record at a frankly unreasonable bitrate (30mbps with AV1) on top of the 1440p resolution. Dark games like Nebulous get compressed to hell and back and a bitrate much higher than usual is required, and not a lot of people know this. That's what's happening when you see a video that looks "crunchy". Also, this map is just lovely!

@@achillesa5894 I know its been 2 months since this comment, I wanted to know what your set up is, if possible? Cuz for me I also had to run it on low settings and even then there were massive stutters (but that was at least 2 years ago, idk if there was a change or no). Maybe it was cuz I was using a 1060 on a computer that had been chugging along for nearly 5-6 years at that point or so. Still. Good gameplay! Hoping to get back into Nebulous again some day.

You can tell the VAs that they did a damn good job! The guy that was captaining the Victorious is a particular favorite of mine. Can't wait for more stuff!!

oh just noticed the ship formation UI also changed

It's nothing special, just a destroyer filled with missile programming buses and S2 Hybrids with EO seekers and Hardened Skin with HEKP warhead. I think it has an intel centre and strike planning centre somewhere in there too. It's not even that good of a build, super fun though.

Personally I recommend a combination of S3 hybrids and S2 missiles. The S3 hybrids are more efficient damage per cost than S2 hybrids, but standard S2 missiles are a good sidearm for killing small ships with weak PD or finishing off damaged enemies. You can fit 16 S3 and 32 S2 missiles on one destroyer, enough for 2 salvos of S3 and 4 salvos of S2.

Aurora is the green laser point defense turret. It fires a few shots and stops to cool down. You can click the "battle short" button in the ship control panel to make it shoot continuously which will cause it to overheat and take damage (and even destroy itself) but this is preferable to taking the missile hits.

Just trying to cap A, it's a cheap expendable sprinter, although I ended up not liking it and I'm experimenting with replacing it with a beam destroyer in the next iteration of the fleet (I also removed the missiles from the battleship). I don't understand the second question.
