Is there a special procedure for testing 1/4” cables, both 2 and 3 conductor types? When I connect a basic 2 conductor cable, the display shows 11 then 22 then 33 then repeats this sequence, with the numbers changing every 1/2 second or so. The intermittent light and the power light.

Hey Guys, it seems quite a few people could not get the internal card in their regions EU ect, only seemed available from Cosmo in Canada and Sweetwater in the States but they wont ship internationally. So here is the latest scoop from down under (Australia) relative to the Behringer AOIP-Dante Internal Brooklyn Card, I spoke to the Australian distributor this morning, they have big stocks of these here. However, no Australian retailers that stock Behringer gear have them on their sites. I was able to finally find one retailer, but they had the wrong photos showing the expansion card slot instead, which is completely misleading. The distributor said that after the pandemic these were in really short supply so retailers have not caught up and it does not show up on Google because they have not posted this item on their websites. I suggest that this probably is the same for the EU and elsewhere, and if you get in touch with the Behringer distributors in the EU,, you will find out they have the internal card in stock, it is just that EU retailers have not caught up with that product and it is not showing on their sites, nor do they have it in stock, and if they get in touch with their Behringer distributor they will find they have it. Another thing is that one should not refer to the card as "expansion" but rather "internal", as soon as you mention "expansion" they think you are referring to the expansion slot. The distributor said Behringer created the 'internal' slot precisely for the purpose of having the option of being able to run Dante while keeping one's Wlive SD card recorder expansion and running both. That being the case if your board is still under warranty it can be sent via the Behringer representative to a qualified tech person to install the card and not lose the warranty, which is what I am doing since it has gone back to those guys because of another issue with the board and they will install the card for me while the board is being checked out. This I think is great news for anyone wanting to get this card!

Just installed the card into our church's Wing today, but it isn't showing up on Dante controller or updater. It does register in the sources and outputs tab on the board, but I can't connect to it on the network. I'm thinking it might need an update, but I have no way of updating it since I bought the card separate from the expansion slot. Any suggestions? UPDATE: The card that we purchased was a used card. The previous device that it was installed in was a Tesira Server setup, making the card only formatted with Tesira-licensed connectivity- preventing us from simply dropping the card into the Wing and it running normally. We learned that while it is possible to have an Audinate tech reformat the card, it is pretty difficult to get your hands on an appropriately licensed firmware for another company. TL;DR The card you install has to originally be for a Wing. Brooklyn 2 cards are not plug-n-play.

Documentation for Obsidian is garbage! Here is what I figured out on the NX Wing for the light indicator. Red appears to be 23 and 24 FPS, 25 FPS is Green. 30 FPS is Blue. Now if I could just ge the console to see the timecode!

I think the problem with the old rack-mount ATEM can be that when using Multiview Out, is that it requires a single HDMI clock to clock the unit (or present a genlock input). This is something the manual does not mention and was something that made us upgrade to a different version I think at local television when we noticed this (along with being unable to mix SDI and HDMI at the time, which might have been fixed with a firmware update). When using HDMI Out only we noticed that any missing clock that sets the video standard makes the output unresponsive. As for the overheating: While the processor (a Cortex A53 with Xilink FPGA cores on the same die as far as I was able to find) in an Atem Mini Pro does run problematically hot to my taste, the TDP158 interface chip that runs the HDMI out seems to be prone to overheating, possibly due to poor soldering of the ground (and thermal dissipation) pad. I'm going to buy the chip to see if replacing it fixes things.

I think this analogy works really well. Basically it's the Keystone cops trying to make a bucket brigade it doesn't work very well but if you have some qualified people who've done this before and they're all singing the same song they can pass those buckets right off.

TDP158 retime chip fails due to overheating. Common mainly due to the design of airflow over the circuit board. Packing these devices in restricted airflow enclosures will lead to component failures, as well. Replace TDP158 chip (have it done) to revive the unit.

My Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro has the same problem. I tried 10 different displays, probably twenty cables etc, and It will come on for a short time and then it will turn black screen. Sometimes flickering colors but then it will die and then will never come back. It does appear to be overheating as well. I was never once was able to use it at all. Finally I have written to the company here in India who are the distributors here and waiting for their reply. I can understand your frustration etc. If you find a solution, then let me know. Thanks.🙁

Can you please recommend a sync device, I would like to synchronize Cubase running from a PC to a Protools running from a Mac. I want to make Cubase the master and Pro Tools the slave. Essentially, I want to press play, stop, rewind, scrub left, right and have pro tools follow. The goal is to have Cubase (master) as my sequencer and pro tools (slave) to run video simultaneously. There is a device that does this exact thing but the price is $4,000. after this video I know that there are better efficient cheaper ways. I rarely use my dremel so I was quite surprised when I pulled it out and learned the chuck doesn't get tight anymore. It won't hold a bit at all. My 4th dremel and very disappointing. None of them have lasted very long.

Had the same issue on one and did a factory reset and it fixed it. there is a video of how to do the reset on youtube

For your last experiment, the installed cable testing, if you look on the side of the device, it says to turn it on with "reset/option" pressed. I haven't tested this myself, though. Thanks for the video.
