The more I study Doctor White the more I see a particular nasty, grifter-esque strain of Apologetics where cults of personality develop in these theological salons for sophists. They're all over the place; they debate professionally, for a living. They're not truly interested in truth or education. It's a hustle. I think you, Ross, defended your position perfectly and from my perspective as a KJVO guy you gave some of the best arguments I've heard yet. It really does at this point boil down to whether or not you believe in the inerrancy of Scripture. We can talk about what the Reformers did or didn't do as compared to modern textual criticism and translation and the like, but to me it comes down to, "By their fruits you shall know them." The motivations and mindsets of the Reformers versus guys like Doctor White is night and day just like the fruits of abandoning a Bible that - someone stop me if I'm lying - was the gold standard of English-speaking Christianity for centuries. When you look a little harder at the history of seminaries and universities and when a lot of heretical strands of thought started, their origins is clear: modern textual criticism which directly undermined beliefs about the inerrancy of the Bible. In an age where we've compromised so much to our detriment, it's time for English-speaking Christians to go back to Fundamentals and that includes reading the Bible of our forefathers.

As you can see Matthew 28:18 is in LSB but their teaching contradicts this verses due to Calvinism. Grace Community Church promotes that Christians will be raptured and they dont have to worry about the Mark of The Beast. I don't agree at all. We have to be vigilant and not take it. Grace Community Church doesn't promote deliverance prayer. They keep very good "saintly" people like a club. Its nice to be there because everyone aims to be perfect and holy. However, evangelism to Calvinism from Pentecostal Christians are common. This in turn will render people without real Power to convert people because God's conversion is miraculous and Grace Calvinist denies many miracles.

The King James Translators are not present so it's easy to say 103 of them wouldn't be able to contradict James White. I came from Grace community and they have no emphasis on the Blood of Jesus. KJV says Mark of the beast is in and not on. LSB removes The Blood of Jesus, Jesus come in the flesh and uses being saved vs. saved. They use the word expanse for the firmament to fit the NASA narrative.

This is so annoying. 1. You have James White that doesn't want to accept the fact that the texts that Ross pointed out to him like Proverbs 30:6 and Revelation 22:18 - 19 are referring to words because that's what they factually say. He detours around that and wants to dismiss that because he does not believe in certainty, even though Proverbs 22:21 clearly says the certainty of the words of truth. So you have James who wants to dance around specific words that prove the certainty of the words of truth of God do exist according to scripture. 2. And then you have Ross who also dodges questions and makes faith in the preservation of certainty of words of truth look silly. His responses are ludicrous and immature. He's way too wordy in his explanations. Neither of them use logical sense in their responses. And neither of them answered questions directly. At this point, I'd rather listen to Ted Bundy try to defend himself in his own trial because even he was more on point and make more sense.

Ross is wrong to bring up the Jevohah Witness Bible as a "Modern Translation" Jevohah Witness is not Christianity they are a cult...horrible for him to keep comparing to that

I've followed religious debates for 40 years, including debates with Thomas Ross, James White, and many other ministers of different churches. I can honestly say that my lack of belief in God is certified by all of the confusion, division, and corruption in religion and in the Bible. I am an atheist now, but I became a Christian from the age of 11. I was dedicated to learning the Bible. I attended and graduate from a Christian college and was on track to enter the ministry. But during that entire time, I was kept noticing all of the inconsistencies and in-fighting among Christians on what is actually the true teachings of the Bible. Everybody is fighting everybody about who is right and who is wrong. Everyone is becoming a glory seeker to become the winner. When you get right down to it, everyone is wrong about something or another. When will people come to the point where everyone believes the same thing and there is no division among them?

What about the Apocrypha in the 1611 edition.

Also one of the canons of modern criticism is the shorter reading is to be preferred but recent studies by James Royce and Juan hernandez has proven scribes where more likely to omit than add also kirsopp lake wrote a paper on the Alexandrian text codex vaticanus and Siniaticus compared with text used by the eastern fathers and proved these texts where in use for a very short period of time

I'm 45 years since rebirth. I never "debate" over the word of God. It's a trap. Instead, "quote" the word of God. His word never comes back void. One can waste their entire life in "debate" over God's Word. instead just quote God's Word. It's GODS KJV WORD itself, that never comes back void, not debates over His Word!
