It might be a little late but what are the things called that the breather hose plugs into on the intake manifold just got a car that dosent have them and can’t find them for the life of me

I started this job 3 months ago on my ute.. Turned into a full teardown and rebuild once I found the sludge. I also found flogged out Con rods on cylinder 2 & 3 and decided to get crank polished and replace every thing. full engine rebuild kit with new conrods and piston heads/rings, timing chains and idlers, basically every thing ect the rockers and springs and cams got replaced. After waiting 2.5 months for parts to arrive, I have forgotten where some bolts go, Now here i am watching videos and googling to find reference images... ;)

HaHa my exhaust blasts your ears out with window up or down when passengers try to talk to me I just say and nod or shake yeah or nah because I cant hear a fookin thing they saying.

and one of the things they didnt show,like when the control arm ball joint just spins coming off and on,scissor jack under control arm tightish then undo same for do up.

I’m doing the spacers, would it be a good idea to use the goo between the manifold and spacers and use a metal rubber o ring style gasket between the spacers and intake for future removal to change coils or plugs? That way you wouldn’t have to scrape off gasket goo. Did you notice a increase in power or torque?

Marcel Grundmann 0 seconds ago Its true, breathing is a problem, so solution is...drill trough the pcv valve (4mm) on the right rockercover ( remove it before you do it!) remove the plastic hose with the t piece connecting the pcv to the plenum chamber. remove the lh rockercover breather going to the air intake. Now slowly heat up the plastic hose at the t piece and remove the t piece. Rh Rockercover back on. clip the hose back on the drilled out pcv connector, use a silicone hose piece and the old plastic hose to extend the pcv hose with the original removed plastic hose, it routes along the back of the engine just like before, just no t piece, ending up parallel to rh rockercover breather, cut rh rockercover breather and fit with careful heat the t piece, connect hose back to air intake . clip it all back into the hose supports. block the plenum chamber inlets, done.... no more breathing problems, looks factory, cant tell the difference, huge difference in engine cleanliness, however the throttle body does get a bit dirty over time and should just be wiped out every second service, these engine always consume some oil, checks and regular services are a must.... any questions or pictures contact Boat and Bumper.... I also change the oil filter once on the oil flushes and then another new one when I was ready for the last oil change Ran so fucking good in the end I don’t this job on my own too and can tell you all(fucking painful job) but well worth it to hear so smooth quiet running

I have done a few of these sludge babies And I drop sump Oven cleaner spray the engine leave 15min High pressure it all off and high pressure in the oil journals if you take time no chains off As the chain tension pulleys are assisted by oil , ( no oil change fucked again in no time ) Flush engine with diesel Flush with oil couple times And that rattling extreme chain noise you had Will be whisper silent if you do this and add new chains .. I had a car need new motor they said I don’t all this and the oven cleaner spray new timimng chains and oil pump while I was at it Car went from fuel economy 100litres per 100kms yes was at 100litres or 99 from memory to an engine I couldn’t hear running sitting around the 8.5-9.2

Do these models have exhaust flange gasket/ donut gasket at the top of the Catalytic Convertor join to the manifold?

Guessing the first stand came from supercheap too!! Some sh!t you don't cheap out on guys

Why has no one designed a twin pipe system that scoops air from the bottom near the road , you have cooler air closer to the road ! I don’t get this OTR stuff surely you get hot air up the top
