I assume this is only a snippet of the podcast because nothing in here tells about dates and times of the prophecies we are missing out on. This would be helpful.
Yes, wisdom is found all throughout the Bible, but one must search for them by studying it with prayers.
As a believer how do I apply all this wonderful truth to my relationship with God the Father when I heard other believers say they heard God speak. The Bible is the foundation to God speaking but I want to be sensitive to other ways God speaks. Side note that's why I love to hear thunder
False
At 86 I know that all religions and sacred books were and are, created by men to control other men. Nobody has ever seen or herd God, except, like me, in their heart. All the old stories are for people that believe anything. In my heart human life is sacred, yet in reading the bible I found no less than 1000 time the word KILL. people that believe in sacred books, today, are the same that crucify the Palestinians in Gaza. I am sure that Netanyahu is inspired by sacred books. Those books and his actions take him away from race and humanity.
“Pay attention!” I love listening to this brilliant man! “He’s not googling this” 😹😹😹😹. The last 10 minutes was 🤯, that was powerful. Another GREAT episode. Thank you so much for posting this and thank you for the links.
Thank you! 😻
So what is the tree of good and evil?
Well, Yahweh was a violent abusive being and my experience of God on two occasions was a beautiful Loving Light that filled the room and Yahweh is not that.
The Shepherd rock from Shaddai In Gen 49:24 and the rock cutout not by human hands in Daniel’s vision conveys similar ideas
This was so good. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Praying for you all in Oklahoma! I hope you and your families are ok and that the tornadoes were no where near where you are. 🙏🏻❤️✝️
Thank you for your prayers! The area where we are at is okay.
Another excellent interview! I can’t believe the insights I get out of these discussions. What he said regarding east vs west with regard to the cannon was very interesting. Matthew’s comment regarding Obadiah 😝😹😹😹. Your guest really makes me want to read ben Sirach in translations of Hebrew and Greek and the hosts always inspire me to want to learn Hebrew! Once again, thank you. 🙏🏻❤️✝️
Glad you enjoyed it! Ben Sira is one of my favorite books! There is so much wisdom in this book. Also, it is an unsung hero of the Hebrew language! We have about 2/3 of the original in Hebrew. It is one of our best sources of ancient Hebrew, and the way Ben Sira uses Hebrew is beautiful in its style.
I am very glad you could host this interview - I am making sure to share this within my own social media spheres etc. :-)
Thanks Dustin! Good to hear from you!
Great stuff here brothers!
Thank you, Kevin!
What does QOYIN mean?
My only complaint with you guys is I’m going to have to start a GoFundMe for the books of the authors you feature on this channel 😝😝😆. Another day, another brilliant guest and interview. This channel is a goldmine. 🕎❤️🙏🏻
The insights in this episode 🤯🤯🤯🤯. Please, if possible, do a multi-part series with this man. Again, this interview lends itself to multiple listenings due to the wealth of information. I love that when you interview a guest you let them speak and explicate the text. The information regarding “Navi” 😮. I could have listened to this for hours. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Thank you Matthew and Dr. French for making these erudite guests and their knowledge available to us. 🙏🏻❤️🕎
Rabbi Chaim Eisen is a fantastic guest indeed! He has clearly read the Hebrew Bible deeply for many many years. He is incredibly gracious in how he communicates with Christians as well. I appreciate how you notice that one of our goals is to really give guests the stage and spotlight to share. We actually have another episode with Rabbi Eisen already recorded and edited! I am just waiting his approval of the final version before I release the episode, so be on the lookout in the near future!
ADAM AND EVE ATE FROM THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL. BUT I THINK WE eat from the tree of knowledge and good and evil TOO, meaning we decide what is GOOD AND WHAT IS EVIL, but selfishness can pervert this DECISION hence why the bible says that man think they are right Proverbs 21:2 nails this: "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart." And then Much like Proverbs 21:2 warns, leaning solely on our own understanding can lead us away from the path intended for us.. meaning we should be led by God rather than leading ourselves. Ive repeatedly said that men are unable to govern themselves properly because of the evil in our hearts and this proves it.
Interesting video. It reminds me of Meredith Kline's book "Treaty of the Great King".
I am almost finished with the course and it’s been marvelous! I binged all but two episodes and I’m going to go back and go slowly and make notes as there is so much to glean. Thank you for making this material available. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Wow! So glad you are enjoying the course. Thank you for the positive feedback!
Thank you for your wisdom
I’ve heard so many discussions about the flood and I almost didn’t listen to this thinking “What else can be said?” What a mistake! This is one of those discussions that lends itself to multiple listenings. So many astounding nuggets here and I have no hesitation in buying Dr. Burlet’s book. Once again, thank you so much for taking your precious time to do these interviews! 🕎❤️🙏🏻
I am so glad you enjoyed this interview! There is indeed so much depth to the flood story. Thank you for incredibly consistent and meaningful encouragement! Tomorrow we are interviewing 3 scholars for two episodes that I think you will enjoy!
Thank you very much for your kind words - they are much appreciated

Im a recent BA Biblical Languages graduate from HCU in Texas. I wanna do this degree BUT I wish it also included New Testament studies and graeco Roman history! Loved this video, it really helped me to understand this MA a bit more.
Another 👏🏻excellent 👏🏻interview👏🏻. I’m am so happy his book is also available in audio form. I know how to spend this month’s credit. Also, my most sincere condolences on Mr. Bird’s losses. I know we don’t grieve as others but it still hurts!
Chad Bird is fantastic! He was one of my first interviews. I have so appreciated his encouragement and support to me personally. His ministry is very powerful and has impacted many people.
What an absolute treasure trove of information! Thank you so very much for giving us access by which we can hear brilliant scholars such as this woman. I hope to purchase her commentary this weekend. This information is such a blessing. ❤️🙏🏻🕎
Interviewing Dr. Dallaire was such a treasure trove indeed! She is so wise. Loved getting to have this conversation!
I liked this book before but after hearing your exposition, I love it 😍. Thank you so much for your encouraging words and for reminding me of Jesus and his faithful witness. I hope your song is beautiful! 🙏🏻❤️✝️
Thank you so much! That means a lot. It has been so rewarding for myself going through the devotional study of the book in preparation for this series of videos. Studying and meditating on this book has grown my faith and trust in Jesus. I am happy to hear that others are experiencing the same.
Greek Daniel and Apocrapha are such inaccurate statements as with the dead sea scrolls the oldest so called Greek Daniel seems to be in Hebrew.
Also I have a tendency to think literacy was higher in 2nd temple Judaism than is commonly held. Just the tenor of the Gospel and. ACTS seems to point to a population that can read. The books were such a part of the Jewish faith it makes sense that a culture, even one with little free time, would have more literacy than expected among laborers, fishermen and such.
Also Catholics hold this as deuterocanon which is by definition second canon. Not first canon. It's certainly not Apocryphal like the Gospel of Judas.
So informative and, consequently, so uplifting! 🎉🎉🎉.
I’m going to join the book club this week! I what an excellent episode. I would never mind you getting “pastoral” 😄. What you said was something I so needed to hear and a few minutes before you said it, I was looking at my coffee cup that reads “As for me and my house….” It truly was Proverbs 25:11. Thank you! 🙏🏻😫🕎
Thank you for sharing this story and the encouragement! I am looking forward to connecting with you in the Hebrew Bible Book Club!
Great conversation; the BibleProject also thinks that HaSatan is a member of the Divine Council.. I’m leaning more towards that interpretation, too!
Glad you enjoyed it! I do believe that is Tim Mackie’s stance if I recall correctly. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It’s a very fun discussion to be had when reading Job.
Need to use the KJV, for it is the inspired Word of God alone today! God used the Hbw and Grk for the OT and NT , but has given the Holy Bible for us! The #3 is evident in the Bible story(trinity of God, trinity of man-1John 5:7/1 Thes 5:23 etc) so why not 3 Bibles? I found Brandon Peterson to be fascinating as the Lord is revealing many infalliable proofs through his ministry(truthisChrist)! For example the KJV Bible has 7 to the seventh power # of words! No other book is known to contain this #- known as the "Elton" factor!
❤️🔥

Why does George Athas downplay the book of Enoch? He said some nice things about it, but this is the sweet spot period he is writing about. What is the significance of Enoch? How do we use it today as we study it? Do we dismiss what Enoch is writing about? Some write that Enoch was even more valued than Moses? Enjoy the interview, i ordered the book and also listening on audio. I wish George was reading the audio was George! (i have to wait for the book to look at some words that were not clear pronounced!) I'm a fan, great work.
I can't speak to George's response on Enoch, but I can say that Enoch is indeed a very important book for understanding culture and thought of 2nd Temple Judaism (although there is much diversity amongst different groups within Judaism at the time, so we don't want generalize too much). Enoch is considered canonical by Ethiopian Orthodox church. Some of the church fathers such as Tertullian viewed the book as very important. Most Christians, however, do not consider it canonical as inerrant and inspired by God and a source for official church doctrine. Still, it is very valuable for understanding the history, culture, and thought of a critical time period in the plot of the story of Scripture. The late Dr. Michael Heiser has spoken on and written about Enoch. He is one source that I would recommend. If you search his name and "Enoch" you will find podcast episodes, youtube videos, and even his commentary on "Enoch" to be great resources. I am also glad to hear that you are enjoying the book by George Athas! It is a fantastic read. I would also have loved to listen to an audio version read by him. George has a great speaking voice. He is a true storyteller through and through! Thanks for engaging with our content! It is great to have you along for the journey.
@@hebrewbibleinsights Thanks for taking the time. We over here in my circles have read all his stuff, listen to all his podcast, nakedbible, and had the honor to communicate with Michael Heiser a few times, miss him already.
